Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1139 - 1139: Please Be Serious!

“Master. I found it. A gap!”

“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes. “Are you sure?”

“Yes. From the looks of it, we have reached a different territory. There is a large number of ships in one position, but from that point on, there are none. It is as if all the ships are gone. So, I can only imagine one thing.”

Nathan smiled. “That large number of ships marks the border between two territories, huh?”

“Yes.”

Nathan thought for a moment before nodding his head. “We’ll use that gap to land. Make sure not to leave any traces behind, Kun.”

“Understood.”

Now that they had found the gap, Nathan waved his hand. The rest of the team had gathered around, including the ones on guard duty, as Kun took over their job.

Nathan explained, “I don’t know what’s going on, but from the fact that the previous territory is trying to defend against us, I’m assuming they know something.

“And due to how far it is stretched, I have a hard time knowing what happens. Hence, we will have to split up this way. After reaching the shore, the teams themselves are not going to change, but the objective has to be adjusted.

“Team Merchant and Team Mercenary will head to the west and investigate what happened. Make sure to find out the reason and see whether they know about us or not. Do you think you can do it?”

“It shouldn’t be a problem.” Sonia was the one answering the question. Infiltration was her job after all.

“All right. Neyeid. Do you think you can acquire some money? Our money might be useless, and it’s not like we have a lot of things to exchange.”

“Money? That’s easy. I guess I haven’t told you about it. My family went bankrupt due to the attacks of those terrorists in the past. I managed to rebuild our merchant group from scratch in just a few years. Although it was thanks to the connections we had in the past, I know how to start from scratch.

“I can’t make it too big, but I will make sure you don’t have to worry about money. Besides, if they couldn’t handle the food problem, money would be as useless as dirt. The biggest commodity would be food.” Neyeid winked playfully.

Nathan nodded. “I will leave that task to you. Find the high-ranking people and figure out the social structure of this land.”

“Got it.”

“Revon. You will have a similar task, but as a mercenary. In the end, strong people attract people. However, you have to go deep into their territory first.

“It will require some time, but by that time, hopefully we will have gotten some precious intel on their summoning system. This will mask your presence among them.”

“I see.” Revon nodded. “So, we need to wait for Team Academics to find out about the summoning system and tell us through the communication ring. Then, after being able to do the basics, we will start our mission?”

“Yes. With our current strength, it shouldn’t take too long for us to be able to do such a thing. Even if our progress right now is slow, it will only be at the start.”

“Understood. I will do my best.”

“As for Christopher, see if there’s any religion. Religion can become a disaster relief organization or something sinister depending on whether it is corrupted or not. This will give us a general direction of what we’re going to do.”

“Got it.”

Nathan then turned to Vivian and Melissa. “As for you two… please find out about the summoning system. Infiltrate a big city or something and sneak into their library if necessary. The faster we figure it out, the faster we can start our original plan.”

Vivian and Melissa nodded. They pointed at each other while declaring, “I will find that information faster than her.”

“Stop copying me!” They said at the same time.

Nathan sighed before shifting his gaze to Bella. “You will have your hands full with them, but please take care of them. Also, I want you to sort our information and take notes on every report.

“This report will be easier for our operation here and when we return as well. We can make a book about the summoning system or something.”

“Sounds easy enough.” Bella patted Vivian and Melissa’s shoulders, telling them to stop.

“What are we going to do then?” Evelyn asked. Each team had its own roles, but both of them were captains. Evelyn was the captain of the Sleeping Garden, while Nathan was the leader of his own group.

Neither of them had any specialty other than their commanding ability.

However, Nathan winked playfully as he answered in a lighthearted way. “We are going to have a date.”

“A date…?” Evelyn was taken aback. She simply couldn’t believe Nathan still had the time to joke around. “Please be serious when it’s time to be serious. I’m going to get angry!”

“I’m serious.” Nathan nodded.

Evelyn was speechless. She thought Nathan was a better person, but wasn’t this just slacking when everyone was working hard?

It might be due to her becoming more expressive after killing Garam Haygaiden, but Nathan could figure out what she was thinking. “Do you think we’re playing around when others are working?”

“!!!” Evelyn was startled but ultimately nodded her head. “Yes. If that’s what you’re planning to do, I’m really going to hit you.”

“Why do you think a date means slacking?” Nathan sighed. “Then how about a bet? If you still think our date is slacking at the end of the date, you can do whatever you want. Kick me or punch me. Up to you.

“If not, I wonder what I should ask…” Nathan grinned.

Vivian was dumbfounded. There it is. Nathan’s usual trick. He was going to trick her senior and take advantage of her.

Evelyn’s eyebrows twitched. Nathan had always shown himself to be someone who had a trick up his sleeve. That confident grin of his was telling her that he had some sort of plan. She knew she shouldn’t fall for this trick, but part of her didn’t want to back down.

“Fine. If you win, I will let you order me around for a whole day. As long as it doesn’t cross the line, I will do whatever you want me to do. However, if you lose, I have another punishment in mind. I’m going to make you a serious person from now on.”

“Deal.” Nathan smirked.

Vivian’s face turned pale. She facepalmed and looked away, thinking, ‘There she goes… my senior…’
