Chapter 631 Element Absorption

The Energy around Kyle solidified, and he stood up.

He had successfully advanced.

He clenched his fists and felt the power in them.

He was now officially in the Fifth Realm, the Primal Realm.

Yet, as he felt the new power of his body, he was a bit disappointed.

‘Just a two-level increase,’ he thought. ‘If a Level Eight Primal Beast had been a True Battle before, now, a Level Ten Primal Beast would be a True Battle.’

‘I mean, it’s still a two-level increase instead of just one, but I thought it would be more significant.’

There were two reasons for such a small increase.

First of all, the Primal Realm was not considered one of the three Dividing Realms.

After reaching the Second Realm, one’s power would increase, and the Tomes would give one more abilities. Yet, Kyle had still managed to defeat people in the Second Realm while being in the First Realm, and he hadn’t been nearly as outstanding back then as he was now.

The same thing counted for the Second and Third Realms. There was a gap in power, but Kyle had still managed to overcome it relatively easily.

Yet, defeating a Standard Transcendent while being in the Third Realm was basically impossible.

Even with Kyle’s Law of Meteor back then, he would have most likely died.

Just defeating a False Transcendent had already required significant achievements.

That was because the Transcendent Realm was one of the three Dividing Realms.

Dividing Realms were named as such due to their significant power increase and the fact that they were the Realms needed to ascend into a higher world.

When one became a Transcendent and when one was inside a Tertiary World, they would advance into a Secondary World.

The next Dividing Realm was the Seventh Realm, the Wisdom Fire Realm.

This Realm also came with a significant increase, and one would enter a Primary World after reaching it.

The last Dividing Realm was the Universe Realm, the Tenth Realm.

If the Primal Realm had such an insane increase in power as the Transcendent Realm, Kyle would have died immediately upon meeting his first Primal Beast, regardless of what level it had.

The second reason why the power increase was relatively small had nothing to do with the Realm but with Kyle’s achievements.

Kyle’s Complex Law involved the Law of Body, and its level pushed the powers of the Law of Body far beyond its usual capabilities. Kyle’s Complex Law was more of a flat increase in physical power with a small multiplier added to it.

The flat increase was far more significant than the small multiplier.

If Kyle’s previous power could be compared to a Level 3.4 Law, his new power could be compared to a Level 3.6 Law.

He was definitely stronger than before, but it wasn’t even half a level when looking at it from a Law viewpoint.

‘Well, power is power. I shouldn’t complain,’ he thought.

Then, Kyle smirked.

‘I wonder how strong my Element Absorption is now.’

Element Absorption was the bonus a Primal received upon advancing as a Fulfilled or Unique Transcendent.

Every Primal could siphon Energy out of their Elements.

However, the power of this absorption depended on one’s achievements in the Transcendent Realm.

Normal Primals could absorb the Elemental Powers of willless Elements that shared their Affinity. The word willless referred to something that wasn’t controlled by an intelligent being. It essentially lacked a will.

When somebody launched a fireball, that fireball had their will on them. The will stabilized the Energy inside the attack, making it harder to disperse.

This meant normal Primals with a Fire Affinity could siphon the Fire Energy out of things like natural fires, lava, hot metals, and so on, but if someone shot a fireball at them, they wouldn’t be able to absorb any of it.

Primals who had been Fulfilled Transcendents previously could also absorb Elements with a will on them, as long as they involved an Element from a Level One Pure Law with a shared Affinity, and as long as the Element was not exhibiting the power of a Level Two Law.

For example, if someone made a Complex Level 1.5 Law out of the Law of Fire and the Law of Metal, such a Primal could consume all the Fire Energy inside the Law.

However, if someone made a Level Two Complex Law out of three Pure Level One Elements, like Kyle with his Law of Meteor, it couldn’t be absorbed. After all, its power was on the level of a Level Two Law.

Primals who had been Unique Transcendents could do the same thing, but with half a level higher. Additionally, they could also absorb the Level Two variants of the Elements as long as they didn’t reach the power of a Level 2.5 Law.

For example, Kyle often used Yin-Metal and Yin-Fire as additive powers during the start of the Star Seeking. These additive powers had not been included in any Complex Laws at the time, which meant they had exhibited the power of Level Two Laws.

If he had fought a Primal who had been a Unique Transcendent before, and if that Primal also had a Metal and Fire Affinity, both of these additive powers would have been absorbed by his opponent. This would make them worse than useless since the opponent also recovered Energy.

Kyle dispersed his Complex Law and summoned some Yin-Metal.

Then, he opened his mouth and commanded the Yin-Metal to enter.

The Yin-Metal immediately dispersed and turned into Energy, which entered Kyle’s mouth.

Yet, as Kyle consumed the Energy of the Yin-Metal, he felt something strange.

It was like he had bitten into a delicious steak that had a bit of broccoli stuck to the bottom of it.

It somehow tasted slightly different.

It was like there was something else there as well.

The next moment, a huge screen of light appeared in front of Kyle.

“Primals with a Light Affinity are not allowed to use Elemental Absorption in the Advancement Halls. It might damage the Formation Arrays.”

Kyle blinked a couple of times.

“What? I don’t have a Light Affinity!” he shouted.

The writing on the screen changed.

“Confirm that you do not have a Light Affinity. Deception will be punished,” the new writing said.

“I do not have a Light Affinity!” Kyle shouted.

The writing vanished again.

Kyle just blinked a couple of times.

Then, a man suddenly appeared in front of him.

“Hi, former Legendary Transcendents are also not allowed to use Element Absorption,” the man said casually.
