SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 451 - 451: Pride

The blast ripped through the ice, destroying everything in sight. Silva dodged as fast as he could, barely managing to get away from the attack.

He flew up into the air, his eyes locked on the target. “Fine, I’ll take this a bit more seriously,” he said before transforming into his full form.

He covered the sky in his glory, his wings spread out wide, his slender aerodynamic body showing his black scales and golden tips.

He opened his mouth wide, and a blast of dark flames began gathering. It got larger and larger until he fired.

The flame breath burned the air as it moved. A massive translucent dome formed around the city. BOOOOOM! The shockwave spread through the entire dome; it struggled to fight against the flames.

Silva saw the dome taking the attack and it pissed him off, so he increased the intensity.

‘I’ll show you all what a demigod can do,’ he thought. The dome couldn’t hold up against the flames and shattered. The moment the dome shattered, he flapped his wings, covering the distance in what seemed like an instant.

The ice angels that he had taken down tried to fly after him, but their speed wasn’t close to his at all.

Silva was about to enter the city, but the massive cannons that had been firing at him started firing again. The blasts all tried to corner him, but Silva wasn’t letting it; a dark dome formed around his body, blocking all the attacks.

The blasts kept coming, left and right, but no matter how many blasts, they couldn’t get through the defense that he had.

“What exactly is supposed to be the aim of this exam? I’m inside a different world and I have no idea what’s happening. Am I to level their city or talk to them?

I can’t talk to them when they are attacking. Fine, I love to take them out, no question asked,” Silva decided, clearing whatever doubt he had felt before.

He shot up into the air, flying fast. The cannons tried to follow, but he was too fast. He made a curve in the air, flew down, and blasted one of the cannons with dragon breath, completely destroying it.

He attacked the second with another dragon’s breath as well. They were more lined on the walls of the city, but with his speed, he was able to destroy a huge number of them.

He was about to go after more, but then he spotted a ton of ice angels flying from the town toward him. They were wearing full-body armors and carried their staves. Newest update provided by N0v3l.Fiɾe.net

They moved in a formation, but not all of them were his issue; it was the three leading — he could tell their strength was no joke.

He turned his head and looked at them, his eyes already scanning them from head to toe. With dragon eyes he could tell a person’s strength at a glance.

The army of ice angels surrounded him; they brandished their weapons around him, ready to attack.

“Monster from the abyss, we’ll destroy you today and every monster you brought along with you,” the leader said, his voice heavy and resonating.

Silva heard the abyss and his interest was caught. He looked at them, and then turned back to human, leaving only his wings to fly.

They were all shocked when he did that; their guards raised.

“You called me a monster from the abyss. What’s that?” he asked.

The man was shocked to see that a monster near him was capable of speaking. He looked at Silva with keen eyes, his hands gripping the shaft of his staff.

“How can you speak, monster? Are you an intelligent monster? That would mean you are extremely strong. What would a high-ranking abyss monster be doing here?” he asked.

“I don’t know what these monsters are to you, but I’m surely not one of them,” Silva said.

He didn’t know if they were talking about abyssal monsters or something else, but it would be better if he played dumb.

The ice angel frowned. He pointed his staff at Silva, and with a cold gaze, “You can’t trick us, monster,” he said, and they lunged forward. He was extremely fast, causing a massive sonic boom as he flew.

“You are being immensely unreasonable,” Silva said and pulled out his sword.

CLANG!

They clashed and a massive shockwave spread out for meters. Silva looked the ice angel right in the eye. “I’m not a monster, or whatever you call it, but if you don’t stand back, I’ll have no choice but to take you down,” Silva said.

The ice angel frowned, put more strength into his stance, and pushed Silva back. Then he pointed the tip of the staff and began firing ice lances.

They were fast and accurate. Silva slashed through them with ease, though, and then lunged forward again.

He could tell that this ice angel was holding back and he didn’t like that; it meant this being saw Silva as weaker than him.

And nothing does a dragon hate more than being looked down upon. It ignited his dragon pride. One angel thought he would block the attack that was coming and push Silva back, but as the blade of Silva’s sword touched the shaft of his staff, it was a whole different story.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The collision threw the ice angel back for hundreds of meters over the town. It looked up in utter confusion and was met with a massive fireball.

It tried to block the fireball with an ice blast, but the attack was too powerful and knocked him even further back.

He survived the attack, but his armor was already getting beat up. He looked ahead to find Silva, but he wasn’t there, and then he felt a presence from behind him. He turned around with an attack, but Silva blocked it; the air trembled.

“You believe you can hold back against me? You look down on me? That is your sin, and you’ll suffer the consequences,” Silva’s voice bellowed with a deep tone.
