Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 84: The Match

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: The Match

Shi Feng stopped at the sound of the whistle. After Jiang Lusheng announced the result, he raised a hand and scratched his head.

’So it’s a draw.’

Hua Wan’s voice sounded nearby. Shi Feng turned to look at her, but she had already stepped off the stage.

Watching her retreating figure, Shi Feng called out, "I’ll be the one to win next time."

Hua Wan heard his words, turned to look at him, and shot Shi Feng a fierce glare. "You’ll never beat me."

Shi Feng shrugged. They’d just have to wait until the next match to see who would win.

After he got off the stage, Gu Kaiwen threw an arm around his shoulder, smacked him on the head, and said, "What was that all about?"

"A draw, of all things," Gu Kaiwen said, dissatisfied.

Shi Feng let Gu Kaiwen keep his arm around him, but his face was a mask of exasperation.

"You think I’m as amazing as Sister Lin?" Shi Feng shot back. "I’m just a researcher."

"Not a combatant."

Hearing this, Gu Kaiwen started patting him on the back, again and again. The pats were so hard that Shi Feng winced in pain.

Finally fed up, Shi Feng shoved him off with his shoulder. "Are you an idiot? Don’t you know how strong you are?"

"That hurt like hell."

"Sorry, sorry," Gu Kaiwen quickly apologized. The two of them sat back down in their seats, talking and laughing as they continued to watch.

Round after round passed. Of the four remaining from their group, Gu Kaiwen was the first to go up.

Gu Kaiwen stood on the competition stage, looking at the burly, powerfully built guy across from him. For a moment, he wasn’t sure if he could win.

But Gu Kaiwen was already here, so he would give it his all to defeat this man.

The guy standing opposite him clenched his hands into fists, then flexed his solid muscles for Gu Kaiwen to see.

"Kid, it’s not too late to surrender now." The guy spoke, his voice crisp and pleasant—the kind of voice you’d expect from a cheerful, sunny boy.

But his voice didn’t quite match his physique, and even his handsome face seemed a little out of place.

"How about you surrender first?" Gu Kaiwen retorted. He then added a reminder, "I’m pretty strong, you know."

The guy opposite him laughed, his eyes raking over Gu Kaiwen’s frame. "You think you can beat me with that little body of yours? You’re dreaming."

With that, the guy clenched his fist and charged. He was incredibly strong; one punch smashed into the floor, and the tiles cracked.

Gu Kaiwen’s heart leaped into his throat as he looked at the cracked floor. ’This guy’s strength is no joke.’

’If that punch had landed on me, I’d probably have a few broken ribs right now.’

’No wonder this kid told me to surrender. He’s this strong.’

The guy pulled his fist back and looked at him, huffing. "Scared now?"

"Surrender and you won’t have to get beaten up."

Hearing this, Gu Kaiwen laughed. "I’m already on the stage. Taking a few hits is no big deal."

"But surrendering is absolutely out of the question."

With that, he rushed forward. Gu Kaiwen was strong too, but compared to the man in front of him, he was still a fair bit weaker.

However, he knew how to use leverage to deflect a greater force. When his opponent threw a full-power punch, he dodged immediately.

Twisting to the side, he appeared directly behind the guy. Gu Kaiwen raised his fist and landed a heavy punch on his back.

It was a powerful punch, but it didn’t seem to do much damage, which frustrated Gu Kaiwen.

’How can I possibly knock this guy down?’

"Was that supposed to tickle me?" the guy asked, turning to face Gu Kaiwen.

"There was no power in it at all." With that, he raised his fist again and aimed a punch straight at Gu Kaiwen’s face, but Gu Kaiwen dodged it.

Every time a punch was about to land, Gu Kaiwen would shift his feet just enough to narrowly avoid it.

And as he dodged, Gu Kaiwen didn’t forget to land a few blows of his own.

The spectators watching this scene were all on the edge of their seats.

’Why can’t he ever land a hit?’

After this happened several more times, the guy became completely enraged. "Why do you keep dodging? Are you an eel?!" he roared, throwing punch after punch at Gu Kaiwen.

Gu Kaiwen was very nimble; he dodged every single punch the guy threw.

"You’re not so tough, are you? How come you can’t hit me?" Gu Kaiwen taunted after dodging another one.

The guy was provoked by his words. He charged, leaped into the air, and brought his elbow crashing down toward Gu Kaiwen, shouting, "Take this!"

’Whoa, that’s a pretty strong move.’

Gu Kaiwen hurriedly dodged. As his opponent landed on his side on the ground, Gu Kaiwen rushed in and rained punch after punch on his face.

In the end, Gu Kaiwen finished it with a shoulder throw.

Just then, time was up, and the whistle blew.

"I win, bro," Gu Kaiwen said, holding out a hand. The guy looked at Gu Kaiwen’s outstretched hand and finally took it.

"Your dodging Skill is impressive," the guy couldn’t help but praise him.

"You could learn it too," Gu Kaiwen said with a chuckle.

Jiang Lusheng stepped forward and announced, "Gu Kaiwen is the winner!"

Hearing that he had won, Gu Kaiwen jumped up and down on the spot with excitement.

He happily leaped off the stage and ran toward the audience, shouting, "Sister Lin, I won!"

After shouting to Lin Jingjing, Gu Kaiwen slapped Shi Feng on the shoulder with a wide grin. "See that? I won."

"And you only managed a draw."

Shi Feng slapped his hand away, looking exasperated. "I know you won. Why are you shouting so loud?"

"To show off to you," Gu Kaiwen said with a mischievous giggle.

After Gu Kaiwen’s match, it was Feng He’s turn.

Feng He’s opponent was a tall, beautiful girl with strikingly pink hair.

"I hear your medical skills are incredible, but are you any good at fighting?" the pink-haired girl asked, her voice exceptionally charming as she toyed with the ends of her hair.

Her entire presence was captivating; just standing there, she drew everyone’s eyes.

"Want to surrender?" the pink-haired girl asked with a sweet smile that mesmerized many in the crowd. "I’m very strong, you know."

Feng He stood her ground. In contrast to the pink-haired girl, she seemed particularly plain and unremarkable.

"My medical skills are good, but I’m quite proficient at fighting, too," Feng He replied with a smile. "After all, Sister Lin personally trained me, bit by bit."

Hearing this, the pink-haired girl’s interest was piqued. "Well then, I’m really looking forward to this." With that, she used her spiritual power to form a dagger and charged forward.

Feng He’s expression turned serious as she watched the dagger in her opponent’s hand.

"You’re S-Class?" Feng He asked.

The pink-haired girl responded with a smile, "That’s right. I’m S-Class."
