Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 79: Won Again

Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Won Again

A little biased, Mo Xuan rapped Shi Feng on the head. He said with a stern expression, "Sister Lin is so strong. How could she possibly lose?"

As he spoke, Mo Xuan hit him again and demanded, "Are you saying you think Sister Lin will lose?"

Hit twice in a row, Shi Feng clutched his head and looked at Mo Xuan, displeased. "If you want to talk, then just talk! Why are you hitting my head!?"

"I’m just worried about Sister Lin. Why are you accusing me like that?" Shi Feng protested, clearly unhappy.

In the fighting ring, Lin Jingjing pushed herself up from the ground. She covered her mouth and coughed violently, spitting up blood.

That blow was truly vicious. It had drawn blood.

Seeing Lin Jingjing’s wretched state, a triumphant smile spread across Bei He’s face.

"Scared yet?" Bei He asked. "If you are, then just surrender. It’ll save me the trouble of crippling or killing you."

As she spoke, her smug expression made many in the crowd grind their teeth in hatred.

’That woman is such a bitch. How could Chief Bei have a sister like her?’

’There’s no way she’s Chief Bei’s sister!’

But Lin Jingjing just scoffed at her words. "You’re surprisingly strong."

"Your spiritual power is decent, too."

After all that taunting, getting just those two sentences in response left Bei He deeply unsatisfied.

She twirled the long staff in her hands, her expression turning serious. Bei He stared at Lin Jingjing. "Still acting tough? If you won’t surrender, then just wait for me to beat you to death."

"Anyway, you’re just a piece of trash. No one’s going to hold me responsible for killing you."

With that, she charged forward with her staff. Meanwhile, Lin Jingjing wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, stretched out her hand, and the Tang Blade that had been knocked far away flew directly back into her grasp.

Lin Jingjing charged forward with her Tang Blade, and the blade and staff crashed together, neither giving an inch.

"Since you’re so determined to kill me, I guess I should get a little serious too," Lin Jingjing said. Before her opponent could react, she lifted her foot and kicked her hard in the lower abdomen.

The force was even greater than before, and Bei He was sent flying.

She still held the staff, her face a mask of disbelief.

’How could this piece of trash be so strong?’

Bei He barely managed to stop her flight by bracing the long staff against the ground. When she looked up, she saw Lin Jingjing was already upon her, Tang Blade in hand.

Seeing the crimson-gold gleam of the Tang Blade appear before her eyes, she scrambled to block the strike with a Spirit Barrier.

"Oh? You blocked it," Lin Jingjing said with a hint of regret, looking at the barrier around her.

Bei He quickly rolled backward to put some distance between them, but as soon as she did, Lin Jingjing charged again with the Tang Blade.

After several failed attempts to create distance, Bei He had no choice but to roar at her, "Get away from me!"

Her voice was laced with powerful Spiritual Attack Power, an attempt to incapacitate Lin Jingjing.

But Lin Jingjing had already sensed it and thrown up a Spirit Barrier, blocking the attack completely.

"Don’t you like me getting up close and personal?" Lin Jingjing retorted. "You seemed to enjoy it a moment ago, didn’t you?"

"Who wants to get up close and personal with you?!" Bei He snapped.

Hearing this, Lin Jingjing laughed. "But I do."

With that, she charged again with her blade. This time, she manifested a pistol and fired a shot at her.

Bei He scrambled to dodge, but Lin Jingjing pressed her attack. She had to evade the bullet while also dodging the blade swinging at her.

Bei He was thrown into a flustered panic, dodging frantically. She wasn’t always fast enough, taking a cut from the blade or a bullet to the arm or shoulder.

The bullets, formed from spiritual power, vanished the moment they entered the body, leaving only a clean bullet hole behind.

Bei He dropped to one knee, her hands braced on her long staff. Her earlier triumph had vanished completely, leaving her looking utterly wretched.

Looking at her state, Lin Jingjing offered a piece of advice. "Just surrender, and I’ll let you go."

"If you don’t surrender, I’ll have to go to the trouble of crippling you myself." As she said this, Lin Jingjing raised her hand and aimed the pistol at her head.

"Me, surrender? Bah!" Bei He said coldly. ’How could I possibly admit defeat?’

’The thought of losing to a piece of trash was something I could never accept.’

Lin Jingjing sighed at her words. ’This kid is just too stubborn.’

’Are those two words, "I surrender," really so hard to say?’

"Then don’t blame me for what happens next." With that, Lin Jingjing aimed the pistol at Bei He’s shoulder and fired.

She controlled the bullet’s depth; the shots that hit her would only cause superficial wounds.

’I can’t kill her, but I can make sure she’s stuck in bed for a few days.’

Gritting her teeth against the pain, Bei He forced herself to her feet and charged again with her staff.

She used all her strength, then leaped up, aiming to smash it down on Lin Jingjing’s head.

But Lin Jingjing dodged Bei He’s desperate, all-out strike.

As she dodged, Lin Jingjing flipped her Tang Blade, switching to the back of the blade. Then, she lashed out with a kick to Bei He’s back.

Before her staggering opponent could recover, Lin Jingjing pressed the back of the blade tightly against her neck.

"You lose," Lin Jingjing said, tapping her with the back of the blade. Bei He stood frozen, a fiery sting on her neck announcing her defeat.

If Lin Jingjing hadn’t switched to the back of the blade, that strike would have splattered her blood across the ground.

The hand gripping her staff trembled. ’I really lost.’

’How could I possibly lose!?’

’Father said I was even stronger than Beisang. Mother said I was a once-in-a-century genius of the Bei Family.’

’And yet, someone like me actually lost to a Grade D piece of trash.’

The more Bei He thought about it, the angrier she became, her pretty face twisting into a ferocious snarl.

"How could I possibly lose to you!" Bei He demanded loudly.

"And yet, you did." Lin Jingjing had already dismissed her Tang Blade and pistol. She stood to the side and replied to the question with indifference.

"I’m the once-in-a-century genius of the Bei Family! I’m the future head of the Bei Family! How could I lose to you!" Bei He was unwilling to believe or accept this reality.

Seeing her state, Lin Jingjing sighed before delivering a truth that would be even harder for Bei He to swallow. "You definitely lost. Also, I’m not Grade D anymore. I’m Grade F."

"You lost to a Grade F piece of trash."

When Bei He heard this, her eyes widened in utter disbelief. She opened her mouth to say something but passed out from blood loss before she could.

Bei He had lost.

The crowd of spectators was stunned for a moment. Once they processed what had happened, they erupted in piercing cheers and thunderous applause.

Everyone was ecstatic. She won!

She won again!

So what if her spiritual power is low? She defeated two people all by herself!

So strong!

"We won!" someone cheered, and smiles bloomed on everyone’s faces.

Except, of course, for the chosen few.
