Two teenage goddesses stepped out of a Spatial Gate and into the courtyard of a grand mansion. The morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of meticulously kept gardens, while the gentle trickle of water from an ornate fountain added a calm undertone.
Tall hedges framed the marble pathways, and a line of perfectly trimmed topiaries led the way to the main entrance.
Beatrix stretched her arms overhead and turned toward the goddess who had brought them here, Mei, before speaking.
“Give us a few minutes to get our stuff.”
Before anyone could respond, she grabbed Artemisia’s wrist and pulled her forward, striding into the mansion like she owned the place.
Which, for the record, she didn’t. This was Artemisia’s house, not hers.
Still, as they moved through the grand halls, Beatrix navigated easily, acknowledging every passing servant’s greeting with familiarity.
Artemisia, in contrast, maintained her usual composed demeanour, accustomed to Beatrix’s unabashed presence in her home.
When they reached Artemisia’s room, Beatrix finally released her grip.
“I left something here last time…” she muttered, diving into Artemisia’s closet and rummaging through it as if it belonged to her.
Artemisia barely glanced up, focused on the stack of photos in her hands. Naturally, these were the snapshots they had printed using Arthur’s Instant Camera back on Aramis.
She flipped through them until she found one in particular, taken when Sigesi had stepped away to handle something important.
It was the same photo Evan had told her she’d ‘looked good in’.
From left to right, Alvey stood with a wry smile aimed at the camera. Beside him, Arthur grinned brightly, his hand resting on Artemisia’s shoulder.
Artemisia had her right arm draped over Beatrix’s shoulder, and though Beatrix wore a radiant, photogenic smile, her heated gaze wasn’t on the camera but on Alvey.
Squatting in front, Jamie was caught mid-laugh at something Arthur had said just before the shot, while Evan stood beside him, holding the remote controlling the camera.
The photo was pure chaos.
Beatrix wasn’t facing the camera, Jamie looked like he might fall over from laughter, and Evan hadn’t even removed his mask yet.
But this one—this one was Artemisia’s favourite.
Just then, Beatrix popped her head over her shoulder.
“What are you looking at? Oh, this picture. It looks nice.”
Artemisia nodded silently. “Yeah, it does. This is my favourite.”
She picked up an empty picture frame from her desk and carefully slid the photo inside. Holding it up for another look, she murmured, “Yeah, definitely my favourite.”
Just then, a voice echoed from outside the room, calling their namaes. “Artemisia! Beatrix!”
They answered in unison. “”We’re coming!””
Artemisia turned to set the framed photo down, but after a momentary hesitation, she decided to take it along as she and Beatrix left the room.

The Blue Moon Castle rose tall and magnificent, an awe-inspiring sight against the night sky.
Its blue-themed architecture shimmered under the glow of the multiple moons orbiting the massive planet, their light reflecting off the crystalline towers.
As one of the most famous landmarks on the Apex Planet, the castle was a marvel of splendour, drawing countless visitors eager to admire its beauty.
Surrounding it, a vast estate stretched outward, its gardens filled with predominantly blue flowers, their delicate petals swaying gently in the soft whisper of the night breeze.
On this night, a streak of light tore across the sky like a shooting star, descending into the heart of the castle.
The impact, though silent, sent a pulse of cosmic energy rippling outward, touching every stone and petal in its path.
Deep within the castle, beyond intricately carved hallways and countless rooms, lay a grand chamber, and centred in that chamber was a coffin.
Inside the open coffin lay a man, perfectly still. His devilishly handsome face showed no signs of age, though his silver hair, dulled and overgrown from centuries of neglect, framed his features wildly.
Though his chest rose and fell with steady breaths, a closer look revealed something unnatural—his heart, though intact, did not beat.
As the streak of light touched his body, a faint pulse of cosmic energy radiated outward from him.
Moments later, his lips slowly curled into a smile.
Beside the coffin sat a woman, the one who had lifted its cover.
She had flowing silver hair accented by purple that reached below her waist. Her hair was tied in a half ponytail, adorned with a small purple flower-shaped fascinator that matched the floral pattern of her white sundress.
She idly twirled a drop of crimson blood around her left index finger, watching it move in the dim glow of the chamber.
Upon noticing Jamie’s smile, she scoffed and muttered, “Just what the hell are you smiling about? Idiot Jay.”
She watched him in silence before shifting her gaze back to the drop of blood orbiting her finger.
After a few seconds of deliberation, she chose to flick it into her mouth, letting him sleep a bit longer instead of using the blood to wake him.
With that decided, she slowly slid the lid back over the coffin and, without another glance, turned and left the room, leaving the smiling Hybrid to continue his slumber.

The building stood tall and imposing, its straightforward, practical design marking it clearly as an administrative centre.
Large windows caught the golden afternoon light, and the wide entrance teemed with activity as uniformed teenagers flowed in and out, their chatter filling the air.
The compound stretched widely, lined with long, well-paved roads bordered by neatly trimmed trees. The trees stood in perfect rows, their branches casting dappled shadows across the ground, offering plenty of shade.
Between their trunks, park benches were evenly spaced, providing places to rest or talk.
From the building’s entrance, four teenagers stepped out together, their presence immediately drawing attention amid the passing crowd.
From left to right, there was a girl with waist-length black hair and gear-shaped pupils, a high-ponytail girl with indigo eyes flipping through papers she held, a twin-tailed girl with jewel-red eyes and soft features, and a formally dressed boy with long brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
Their popularity was obvious as the gazes of many followed their every move, but they were used to it and carried on as usual.
The purple-eyed girl finally finished reviewing the file in her hands. As she closed it, her gaze casually swept the surroundings, and something shiny caught her eye.
“?!”
Her eyes widened, and she abruptly turned toward it, stopping mid-stride.
Without a word, she broke from the group, drawing confused looks from the other three.
“Nicole?”
She didn’t answer, moving quickly to a park bench facing away, where a young man with silver hair sat.
Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around him from behind and murmured, “Welcome back.”
The sudden hug briefly distracted him from the game he was playing, but he didn’t mind. Pausing, he reached up and ruffled her hair.
“Mhmm… I’m back,” Arthur replied with a warm smile.

The moment Evan was ejected from the spatial rift into the centre of Kreah City Square, he flipped through the air, springing off the ground and launching into the sky in an instant.
He moved so fast that the city’s people and the armed forces gathered around the rift barely caught a blur, and by the time some realised ‘something’ had come out of the rift, Evan was already thousands of feet above the ground.
High above the clouds, Evan opened the RHS Interface and scrolled to the Archive section, checking the planet’s map to pinpoint his target.
Suddenly, a loud voice boomed across the sky.
[HALT!!!]
Raising an eyebrow in surprise, he turned to see a trio of dragons, all Sovereigns, charging at him with full hostility.
‘Oh? They managed to spot me even moving this fast? I guess dragons have better kinetic vision than humans.’
Evan then dismissed the system interface, muttering, “I’d normally handle this civilly, but I’m in a hurry to see Liz.”
He immediately activated Blink, teleporting behind the first dragon and landing a punch that cracked its scales and tore through its flesh, sending it crashing to the ground.
[…eh—**BAAAMM!!
The second dragon couldn’t even complete being shocked before Evan roundhouse kicked it into the third, sending both tumbling toward the ground.
He then lassoed all three with Everlasting Chains, swinging them onto the spot where the rift he’d just emerged from had been.
By the time the dragons slammed onto the concrete floor, Evan had already shot off into the distance, beating his wings to accelerate faster and faster.
With the aid of Mesarthim’s ‘Orange’ and several wind magic and acceleration spells from the Akashic Page, Evan soon reached a speed close to Mach 10, slicing through the air several seconds before those on the ground were hit by the combined roar of a thunderstorm and volcanic eruption.
In less than an hour, Evan was flying above the airspace of the Aelum Kingdom, heading straight for its capital, Eblor.
He began slowing down as he approached, and by the time he reached his destination, the National Peace Park located west of Eblor, his speed had dropped enough for him to land without creating a crater.
With Lethe active, he touched down in the middle of the park unnoticed, then walked along a corridor lined with flowers, deactivating the skill just before stepping out into the open, blending in seamlessly with the park visitors.
The park was a pretty expanse of greenery, but Evan wasn’t here for sightseeing, so he ignored the scenery and went straight toward the centre, his magic power spreading outward in concentric waves to scan the entire area for what he came to confirm.
‘Hmm? It’s in the centre?’
Sensing something that matched his target in the direction he was already moving, he continued on his path, eventually arriving at the centre of the park, where there was a circular flower bed positioned at the centre of the intersection of several walkways leading in from different parts of the park.
Various kinds of flowers bloomed there, each species arranged in perfect circular patterns that radiated outward from the centre point, where a flagpole with the Aelum Kingdom’s flag stood.
He paused in front of the flower bed, scanning the ground with his magic power and detecting a condensed bud of creation law energy buried beneath the soil, a presence that made him nod with approval.
‘Good. Triffid is already growing.’
With that thought, he turned away and stepped off the walkway, heading toward a nearby bench resting on the open grass. Taking a seat, he leaned back slightly and spoke aloud.
“Hey, Aidos. You still remember me, don’t you? Come out for a bit. We need to talk.”
