Chapter 517: Chapter 432: Belle Bloom’s Skin (Part 4)
Flora Bloom had never known what it would be like for a zombie to give birth. Even Isla Preston herself had no idea. But right now, the Death Energy was rapidly draining from Isla Preston’s body, while her belly swelled endlessly.
Flora Bloom called Tianna Bloom of the Ice Element over to supervise the Water Ability Users’ training, then found a secluded corner and slipped into her personal dimension.
Isla Preston was a zombie. The spiritual water was useless for her; it would even negatively affect her zombified body.
The resilience of a High-level zombie’s body was astonishing. Her belly had already swelled to be twice the size of her own body, yet it still hadn’t burst.
"Isla Preston, how can I help you?"
Isla Preston couldn’t utter a word. Black veins surfaced all over her zombified form. Her body, face, hands, and feet began to devolve into those of a low-level zombie—ugly, rotten, decayed, and nauseating.
Flora Bloom knew that the Death Energy in Isla Preston’s body was about to be depleted.
Suddenly, she saw the black ant cowering off to the side. She quickly walked over, grabbed it, and brought it to Isla Preston.
"Can you use this?"
Isla Preston’s consciousness was fading. Acting on pure instinct, she formed her hand into a claw and snatched the black ant as Flora Bloom brought it near.
The rich Death Energy within the black ant flowed through her hand and into her body. After some time, she gradually regained her human appearance.
The baby was born two hours later. Flora Bloom watched Isla Preston cradle her child. With its delicate little hands and feet and its fair, tender skin, the baby radiated a pure aura of life. How could it possibly have any connection to a zombie?
Meanwhile, in a gathering place for zombified creatures, the man in white’s face grew paler and paler as his energy steadily drained. He was growing visibly weaker.
’Heh, that woman really doesn’t hold back, using my Origin Energy to save such a low-level zombie. But that child... not bad at all...’
After being resurrected by the man in white, Belle Bloom’s memories from before her death began to gradually return.
She had been severely burned, and her appearance hadn’t changed even after her resurrection. So, she expended a vast amount of Death Energy to obtain the beautiful human form she wore today.
This new form bore no resemblance to the original Belle Bloom. Even when she had gone to the Morhaven base with the man in white and Shelton Underwood, she hadn’t been recognized.
’It was for the best that they couldn’t recognize her.’ Belle Bloom had changed since her resurrection. Even Shelton Underwood’s second death failed to move her. Her only desire was to train, level up, and become powerful enough to one day take her revenge on Flora Bloom.
"Master, you are very weak."
The man in white gave a faint smile, though his face still held a bewitching eeriness. "It’s nothing..." He looked at Belle Bloom. "Why don’t you tell me about your history with Flora Bloom?"
Belle Bloom’s bond with the man in white was different from the brand associated with Flora Bloom’s personal dimension. Belle Bloom simply had an unbreakable connection to the man in white; she was not compelled to obey his commands.
However, she was obligated to protect him. If the man in white were to perish, she—whom he had resurrected—would also fade from the world of the living.
Belle Bloom hesitated.
She was reluctant to tell the man in white about the past, because she knew full well that he treated Flora Bloom differently. This was yet another reason for her to hate Flora Bloom all the more.
"Unwilling to speak?"
Belle Bloom shook her head. "She’s my sister."
The man in white frowned. The tip of his index finger sliced across the artery on Belle Bloom’s wrist, and as the skin parted, the putrid stench of decay filled the air.
The man in white looked disgusted by the smell, yet he still brought her wrist closer, examining the cut with great interest.
"Sisters? With that filthy blood of yours, how could you possibly be her sister?"
Belle Bloom froze. "Impossible! I was Father’s favorite daughter!"
