Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid

Chapter 513 - 431: Eve of Deployment

Chapter 513: Chapter 431: Eve of Deployment

All the Ability Users in Morhaven knew they would have to face great battles in the future, so they trained with all their might.

Word of Morhaven’s activities quickly spread, carried by interested parties to Argent Base and several others.

Oscar Owen of Korsan Base contacted Flora Bloom immediately. After learning of the situation, he expressed his willingness to merge Korsan Base with Morhaven Base and join the training efforts.

Over the course of a year, Korsan Base had grown from its initial two thousand members to an unbelievable ten thousand, all of whom were Ability Users.

The ten thousand people arrived at Morhaven Base in several batches and joined the training units. Furthermore, just as Lianne Kendall had predicted, Oscar Owen and his mother moved into Villa Area No. 3 upon their arrival.

The people from the mountains were hardy, yet they were kind-hearted and down-to-earth.

They quickly integrated into the greater family of Ability Users at Morhaven Base.

The division of labor within the base was now clear. The Ability Users focused on desperately improving their strength, while the ordinary people dedicated themselves to planning how to increase the base’s crop yields.

Everyone was playing their part, but someone had started scheming against Flora Bloom.

At his mother’s behest, Mason Adler began trying to get close to Flora Bloom, attempting to learn from her the reason behind Morhaven Base’s recent activities.

Since arriving at Morhaven Base, Mason Adler had rarely left his home. Blind and unfamiliar with Morhaven, his only contact with the outside world was receiving his daily food and being cared for by the person who had accompanied him.

But this time, he couldn’t sit still any longer.

His mother had sent word, telling him to get close to Flora Bloom, sound her out, and do it with a purpose. To make matters worse, the person who had been taking care of him had effectively defected, joining Flora Bloom’s people.

So, for the first time, he left his home alone. With no one to guide or support him, he felt his way forward, asking for directions and memorizing the route to Villa Area No. 3.

However, after a "kind person" led him to the main gate of Villa Area No. 3 and told him he could find Flora Bloom just by walking inside, the person immediately took off.

But after walking a short distance, the person peeked back, intending to enjoy the miserable spectacle of the strange blind man trespassing in Villa Area No. 3.

Sure enough, as Mason Adler felt his way forward, a buzzing sound, BUZZZZ, grew from a distant hum to a deafening roar. Suddenly, he felt as if countless needles were stabbing him all over his body and face—a dense, inescapable assault.

He had been a Second Level Fire Ability User when he arrived, and he was still a Second Level Fire Ability User now. He wildly unleashed his Fire superpower in every direction, not knowing where to aim, in a desperate attempt to save himself.

But he had made a grave miscalculation.

Flora Bloom’s bee swarms had evolved; any fire weaker than a Middle-Level ability could no longer harm them.

In the end, Mason Adler was stung until there wasn’t an inch of unharmed flesh left on his body. He lost consciousness and collapsed at the entrance to Villa Area No. 3.

The person who had guided Mason Adler there had only intended it as a prank, wanting to watch the blind man’s little show. They never imagined the "No Trespassing" warning for Villa Area No. 3 would be so deadly.

Terrified, he vanished in a flash, little knowing that Flora Bloom had been aware of the entire situation from the start.

With a sigh, Flora Bloom returned to the villa area and had someone take Mason Adler to the medical team. The only person available in the unit was Shelly. As she began treating Mason Adler’s extensive injuries, Joel Bloom, watching from the sidelines, gritted his teeth so hard they might crack.

Just as she was about to remove the poisonous stingers of the mutated bees from certain... sensitive areas, Joel Bloom volunteered to take over. Shelly was more than happy to have a break.

Flora Bloom had already given him some spiritual water, so his life wasn’t in danger.

Joel Bloom was nowhere near as gentle as Shelly. The moment he saw a stinger, he ripped it out, heedless of whether the corrosive venom on it tore away chunks of flesh from Mason Adler’s sensitive areas in the process.

This was especially true for the area on his back, from his waist to the top of his thighs. After Joel was done removing the stingers, the area was a pockmarked mess of bloody craters. They oozed not only blood, but also a toxic yellow fluid, creating a sight that would send a chill down anyone’s spine.
