Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan

Looking at Naruto, who had clearly had his head stepped on but still gritted his teeth and tried to stand up, and Neji, who looked pained and clutched his stomach but had a determined look, Raijin smirked menacingly and mockingly.

For ninjas who have never truly experienced war and killing, some setbacks are not necessarily a bad thing.

Especially young people like Sasuke, Naruto, and Neji, who are extremely talented and possess strength beyond their peers, are always under the protection of their family, friends, and teachers. While they do have some understanding of the dangers of the Shinobi World, it’s not as clear and profound as Raijin wants. Such children often end up making mistakes and lose their lives in the most pathetic and unexpected way possible.

Tsunade-hime’s young brother Senju Nawaki is one such example. He was talented and grew up in the care and protection of Senjus and Sannin. When he went to the battlefield he was too enthusiastic and not cautious enough, as a result, he ended up stepping on an Explosion Tag landmine trap prepared by the enemy and lost his life.

Naruto, Neji, and Sasuke have of course fought against real enemies during missions that Kuroto had arranged for them to complete before participating in the Joint Chūnin Promotion Exam, they still lack the mindset of a proper shinobi, at least, this is what Raijin feels. He thinks it is better to make them feel the bitterness of facing life and death at his hands rather than Nagato, Obito, or Toneri’s hands where they might really lose their friends and companions.

Therefore, when Raijin took action just now, he did not hold back to avoid injuring them. He was as brutal as an enemy would be.

Naruto tried to stand up again, “Damn you, get off of me!”

Raijin smirked and pressed his foot on Naruto’s body harder. “Idiot, at a time like this, you should either quietly lie down and watch your comrade die, or beg me to spare your life, not shout at me. You do realize that I can kill you in an instant, right? You wouldn’t even realize it, and you’d be dead!”

“Don’t talk nonsense! I would never beg you… I would never ever beg you for such a thing, and I am not going to let Sasuke die either. I am going to be the greatest Hokage. How can I surpass my Sensei if I can’t even save my friend?!” shouted Naruto, not yielding to Raijin.

Raijin chuckled. “You are a funny one, eh boy?” He bent down and playfully held Naruto’s jaw with his left hand and said, “Hokage? You are nothing but a brat! A brat like you wants to be Hokage? A brat like you thinks you can save that Uchiha boy? Forget about becoming Hokage. Just find a way to escape from me, and if you can’t do that, then beg me… I am very generous. If I like the way you are begging, I might take pity on you and release you. What do you say, fox-brat?”

Not far away

On the branches of a big tree, Shisui and Shinichi were hidden within the cover of leaves and watched everything happen on the battlefield. Naturally, they noticed Sasuke being chocked by Kusagakure Kunoichi they noticed Naruto being stepped on and humiliated by Raijin, noticed Samsara man-handling Mika and her Summon, and they also noticed Tengu effortlessly evading Lee and Kiyomi’s combined attacks.

Seeing everything happen Shisui narrowed his eyes slightly, he felt a little uneasy, especially when he saw Sasuke being choked to death.

Shinichi noticed Shisui’s uneasiness, and assured him, “Don’t worry, haven’t I sealed my Visual Prowess in Sasuke’s eyes using Transcription Seal? Even if his neck is broken or his body is severed in half nothing would happen to him so long as he doesn’t die instantly, and I doubt that would happen.”

Shisui shook his head and said: “I’m not concerned about Sasuke’s safety. After all, Raijin, Samsara, and Tengu are there. Nothing would happen to him under their watch. I just feel that the actions of Kusagakure Kunoichi are a bit too strange… No, not just her. The actions of Otogakure ninjas are also quite weird. Why are they targeting Sasuke in particular? Sasuke shouldn’t have anything to do with Otogakure apart from that little interaction with Kaguya Kimimaro several years ago. So, why are they after his life? It’s strange, isn’t it?”

Shisui was stunned, “Kuroto-san?”

Shinichi nodded, “It’s not impossible, right? Boss could have secretly given such a mission to Kusagakure and Otogakure.”

Shisui was not so sure, “But…”

Shinichi added, “Think about it. Boss wants Sasuke to quickly awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, for this reason, he has sent Raijin, Samsara, and Tengu to Konoha. Both of us know that awakening Mangekyō Sharingan can be very difficult, so maybe he thinks that Raijin, Samsara, and Tengu might not be enough and employed Kusagakure Kunoichi as well as Otogakure ninjas, this does seem to fit boss’ style of doing work.”

Hearing Shinichi’s reasoning Shisui couldn’t help but agree… It really does fit Kuroto’s method of doing things, making multiple arrangements to ensure that the plan works. Of course, just because Shisui agreed that such a thing might be possible doesn’t mean that he was going to let down his guard and said, “It’s possible, but Kuroto-san did not tell either of us about this thing, so let’s not drop our guard, just in case.”

“Of course,” smirked Shinichi as he shifted his attention back to the fight, and with a thoughtful expression he said, “But man, that guy Raijin is a real monster. He almost defeated Darui of Kumogakure at his own game and now he is manhandling both Naruto and Neji. I like his fighting style, makes me want to fight him. Just who is he?”

Shisui shrugged, “Who knows,” they generally don’t know the identities of other members of the organization, after all, it is the code of conduct of the Amatsukami to not question the identities of other members in the organization.

Shinichi also sighed, “Where does Boss find these monsters?”

Shisui shook his head, “Don’t know, it’s been a mystery, as al–” He stopped midway as he noticed someone approach them. Turning his head, Shisui looked sideways and noticed that it was none other than Hokage’s Hand, and asked, “Kakashi-san… for you to be here?”

Kakashi did not explain, but spoke, “It seems we might have to intervene.”

Now that Kakashi has discovered that Sasuke is in a predicament and nobody is there to save him, he feels that he has no other choice but to come forward and save Sasuke’s life. Although, it would disqualify Team 7 from the Joint Chūnin Promotion Exam, at least, they would be alive.

Hearing Kakashi’s intentions, Shisui hurriedly stopped him, “Wait, Kakashi-san…”

Kakashi was about to flicker beside Sasuke, but Shisui’s action of stopping him confused him, “Huh? What do you mean?”

Shisui did not explain much, he only said, “Let’s just wait and see.”

“Wa-wait and see?” exclaimed Kakashi. Sasuke on the battlefield is being choked to death by the Kusagakure Kunoichi and here Shisui and Shinichi are so calm and watching all that happen without a care in the world.

On the battlefield

Sasuke was still struggling painfully in Orochimaru’s hands, but his flushed face gradually lost its color and began to turn pale. His limbs seemed to have lost strength, and the extent of his struggle was much smaller than before.

Raijin, who was stepping on Naruto, glanced at Sasuke, and then moved his gaze to Naruto at his feet and Neji at his side. Suddenly, a thought flashed in Raijin’s mind, ‘Among the three of them who can break their limit? Naruto? Neji? Sasuke?’

As his eyes were sweeping over the three children suddenly there was a loud burst of Orange Chakra from Naruto’s body which resulted in the instant corrosion of the Fuinjutsu that Raijin had placed on Naruto’s body to isolate the Nine-tail’s Chakra.

Before Raijin had time to think, suddenly a giant claw stretched out of Naruto’s body and slammed on his body.
