Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan

Chapter 1050: Did you not think of the Consequences?

Looking at the giant figure of Gamabunta along with the deep red color created by the Jutsu used by Sasuke not long along, the appearance of Garaga that seems to appear and disappear from time to time along with all that Ice around him, and the sudden appearance of a Forest of Bones, Shikamaru and the others frowned.

Ino was very worried and shouted anxiously, “Shikamaru, Sasuke-kun must be in trouble… we have to go over there and help them!”

The other Genins including Chōji, Shino, and Sai looked at Shikamaru.

Facing everyone’s gaze, Shikamaru shook his head bitterly, “We can’t get involved in that kind of battle, with those Giant Summons there, we would only become a burden for them…”

Sakura said worriedly, “But we can’t leave them alone! What if…”

Shikamaru sighed and after pondering for a while, he suggested, “Well, we can get closer to take a look from a distance… If there is an opportunity, then we can use that to save Sasuke and the others… that’s the most we can do…”

“Alright, then let’s do that… we have to save Sasuke-kun and the others at all costs!” said Ino as she pumped her fist and began running toward the Giant Toad in the distance.

But before she could take a step forward, Sai stopped her, “Wait…”

Everyone looked at Sai with a frown, “What is it Sai-kun? Now is not the time…”

Sai explained, “Instead of everyone going the same way, we should divide ourselves…”

Sakura questioned, “What do you mean Sai-kun?”

Sai looked at everyone and explained, “What I am saying is that… I, Shino, and Sakura will go after Naruto and the others via air, meanwhile, you guys go there through the forest…”

“You want us to split up?” asked Ino.

Sai nodded, “Yes, that would be better…”

Ino and Chōji turned to look at Shikamaru.

Shikamaru contemplated for a moment before nodding, “Well, sticking together doesn’t seem to be working out for us the way I had hoped, Kiba, Tenten, and Shin even got injured and had to withdraw from the Exam. Maybe acting separately would indeed be a better choice…”

Chōji mumbled lightly while looking at his best friend, “Shikamaru…”

“Thank you…” said Sai as he took out a scroll and began to draw an Ink bird. Since the rain has stopped, he can continue to use his Jutsu and within moments an Ink bird had already taken to the sky with Sai, Shino, and Sakura standing on its back.

Watching Sai, Shino, and Sakura leave, Ino asked Shikamaru, “Was that really the only option?”

“I don’t know, it’s really troublesome,” shrugged Shikamaru while shaking his head, and added as he jumped on a tree branch, “In any case, let’s go and see if Naruto needs our help!”

“Alright!” nodded Ino and Chōji as they followed after him.

At the Battlefield

“Hyaaaaaa!” With a cry of war, Mika attacked Guren using the ends of her hair that have been transformed into several dozen Sharp Kunais.

“It’s useless….” Mumbled Guren shaking her head. The moment Mika’s hair approached her, they transformed into pink crystals at a molecular level and shattered into crystalline dust.

‘Damn it, that technique again!’ Mika gritted her teeth feeling helpless.

She had never expected her opponent to be the user of Crystal Release Kekkei Genkai, what’s more, the Kunoichi in front of her is highly talented in using her Kekkei Genkai to the point it’s cheating. In such a situation, let alone defeating her, merely approaching Guren can lead to death!

“What should I do? At this rate, Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun might,” Although Mika has absolute trust in Sasuke and Naruto’s strength, the people they are facing aren’t ordinary either, moreover, they are clearly targeting Sasuke’s life. “Why do you people want to kill Sasuke-kun? I don’t think he has done anything to offend Otogakure…”

“Beats me… I am not sure either…” shrugged Guren.

“You don’t know why you are after his life, yet you are trying to kill him?” asked Mika with a frown.

“Well, to be fair, we are just completing a mission… and as a ninja yourself, this much information should be enough for you to understand, right?” answered Guren.

“Let’s say you do succeed in Killing Sasuke-kun… and you people also succeed in killing me and Naruto-kun, do you really think that the people of Konoha would not figure out the people responsible for our death? Are you not afraid of incurring the wrath of the Uchiha Clan? Are you not worried about the anger of the Toad Sannin Jiraiya-sama and Kakashi Sensei? And what about Hokage-sama? Uchiha Shisui-sama? Itachi Sensei? Uchiha Shinichi-sama? Are you not afraid of Konoha’s response to our death? Do you think there would be no consequences? Or is it that Otogakure is strong enough to fight off Konoha?” asked Mika.

“……” Guren did not give any response. In fact, these doubts have been plaguing her for a while now. Killing Uchiha Sasuke isn’t a particularly difficult task in her opinion, however, there is a bigger problem they would have to deal with after that—the consequence of killing Uchiha Sasuke.

The boy is not a nobody they wouldn’t be facing any trouble post-assassination. By no means does Guren think that Otogakure is strong enough to face Konoha. Other than Orochimaru and Kabuto, there’s hardly anyone who can fight against the likes of Kage Class Shinobi and Konoha seems to be filled with several Shinobi of such Class. Two of the three Sannin, Hatake Kakashi, current Hokage, former Hokage, Uchiha Shisui, Uchiha Shinichi… moreover, Konoha also seems to have some connection with Amatsukami.

In front of Konoha and its army, Otogakure is not even worth mentioning, and Orochimaru should know this all too well. Yet, he ordered them to assassinate Uchiha Sasuke, Guren just couldn’t understand why is that the case.

“Looks like I hit the nail in the coffin, huh?” said Mika to which Guren once again did not give any response, and chose to remain silent, “……”

“If you are not going to talk, then just move aside…” suggested Mika.

Guren refused, “I am sorry, but I cannot do that…”

“If that’s the case, then I have no other choice…” After saying these words, Mika clapped both her hands together and transferred as much Chakra as she could to the marks on her back making it glow in a neon light.

“Arrrrghhhh…” Mika felt burning pain in her back, however, she resisted it and continued to transfer more and more of her Chakra along with all the Natural Energy she could absorb from her surroundings.

‘What is she doing?’ frowned Guren as she increased her vigilance. She had a bad feeling about what was coming and wanting to avoid that, she quickly completed the one-handed hand signs as several spinning crystals in the shape of Shuriken appeared around her, and she fired them at Mika, ‘Crystal Style: Wild Dance of Shuriken!’

“Too late… it’s already here!” muttered Mika in a somewhat monotone voice. Immediately, a loud roar resounded through the battlefield filled with crystals of various colors, shapes, and sizes as a large area around her was instantly engulfed in a cloud of white smoke, poof.

The Spinning Shuriken entered the cloud of white smoke but there was no scream, nor blood, and no wound.

‘What the hell is that…?’ frowned Guren with a layer of sweat covering her forehead as she stared at the pair of giant eyes peering at her through the cloud of white smoke.

Roar!

Another roar resounded through the battlefield and followed by the roar, incredible air pressure was generated from something within the cloud of white smoke that blew away the cloud of white smoke. As the smoke cleared, Guren finally had a clear view of the creature before her, ‘What kind of creature is that?’
