Kael asked in a tense voice when he looked at the goddess beside him. But the female only let out a scoff at his words before she replied.

/Of course not! Does it look like I am joking to you? That face is what the foolish goddess chose to take. What? Does that look familiar to you?/

The corruption asked, and Kael did not dignify her with a response. Instead, he kept looking at the goddess who had taken Seraphina’s face.

Or rather, her face looked like Seraphina’s, but there were some differences that one could only notice if they had stared at both faces for a long time. Like the length of their eyelashes. The goddess had a fuller but smaller lash volume compared to Seraphina, and the shades of their eyes were two tones apart.

The goddess whispered from inside the temple, and the non-believer looked at her with an annoyed expression.

"Stop trying to gaslight us into following your goddess or whatever."

The goddess felt her temper flaring for the first time. Because she had taken a human form, she had sealed her power. And as a result, she had gained human emotions as well.

Things like jealousy and envy were some of the new things she learned, and she did not like them. But at the same time, she could not control them either.

She knew in her mind that she needed to give humans rain, even if they never prayed to her. They deserved this much, at least.

But she could not bring herself to agree and give it to them.

As a result, a drought followed, causing people to seek her out in desperation. And the region that worshipped her was rewarded with rain.

Soon, the news spread, and even those who had been openly against her had no choice but to bow their heads in her presence.

And that was how the first religion of this world came to be.
