[HARDHOME-SHORE]

[JON, TORMUND, and EDD jump off the dock onto the boat.]

"Oh thank the gods" Lyanna whispered in relief. Safe, Jon was safe. She could relax now, they all could.

"Go! Go! Go!"

"Wun Wun, to the sea."

[The giant stays back, continuing to take out loads of wights by swinging his flaming log. He begins to walk towards the boat, ripping the wights hanging onto him off of his back and throwing them into the water to die. JON looks back to shore to see the Wights, along with a WHITE WALKER, killing the last surviving wildlings.]

"A slaughter" Margaery whispered aghast.

"They were all ill-prepared for that encounter, caught off guard. There would have been no other result. They were lucky Jon Snow got there when he did" Olenna muttered, hard-eyed as she watched the scene.

[Slowly, a figure walks to the end of the dock. The focus moves to the figure, revealing the NIGHT'S KING. He stares at JON and JON stares back.]

"He's acknowledged Jon" Rickard muttered, ill at ease about that fact.

[The NIGHT'S KING turns his head to the carnage at the edge of the shore and then looks back to JON. He slowly starts raising his arms. The dead wildlings twitch, then open their eyes to reveal blue.]

"J-just like that..."

[KARSI comes back to life, blue-eyed. They all start standing up, joining the army of the dead, and staring at JON. JON can do nothing but stare back at the NIGHT'S KING as the boat drifts away.]

"I think it's beneficial to all if we take a break here" Jon Arryn stood, wobbling slightly on the spot. How long had they sat here that his knees had started to numb?

A chorus of agreements went out, and the people began to file out. Well, almost all the people.

Catelyn looked back at her husband, who nodded at her. The woman nodded back, taking her children away to rest. Lyanna wanted to take away Jon, who looked spent while Lyanna herself refused to let him out of her sight for now. But he knew that he was needed for this discussion and promised to get out once he has revealed all the necessary information, Rickard and Brandon stuck back with Ned.

Robert, Stannis, and Renly stayed behind, while Shireen left with Joanna Lannister, whom Stannis seemed to trust enough to look after his daughter.

Jaime and Tyrion stuck back from the Lannisters.

Margaery took her leave but Olenna stuck behind.

Daenerys went with Rhaegar.

Jon Arryn remained.

The Dornish party remained.

The Greyjoys did not stay.

Varys and Gendry remained as well.

-X-

"How did you know that Valyrian Steel could harm the White Walkers?" Ned turned on Bloodraven immediately after those who remained gathered to discuss the events.

All eyes were on Jon, who sighed and shook his head.

"There was nothing in the memories of the past about Valyrian Steel being used against the White Walkers... thankfully I could glimpse the future as well so thats how I found out but it makes sense that they would be useful against these things."

"Does it? How?" Gendry asked.

"Valyrian Steel is forged after folding the iron many times to balance and remove all impurities. The use of spells and in the production of it gives it its unnatural strength... That is what the common knowledge is at least. These unknown spells trap and preserve the properties of the fire into the sword, which gives it its strength."

"Trapping and preserving the properties of the fire used into the forging of the blade... understandable then that its edge is unmatched and how light it is. Fire has no weight and is destructive" Rhaegar muttered.

"It's not just any fire that went into producing these weapons..." Doran left his words hanging, a question for Jin who was smirking at the man.

"Dragon fire" Jon answered. "Young and adolescent Dragons were used in the production of these weapons, to light the Flames and such. A secret only the forging families of Old Valyria knew. A secret that died with the Doom."

"So if Daenerys hatches her eggs..."

"She doesn't need to my Night Fury should be able to do it and since I know the method I can make it but it will take quite alot of time since I don't know anything about forging and will need help of someone who is strong enough to not burn from the heat of dragon fire and is able to follow my instructions to the dot, we don't have someone like that so I will have to learn forging which will take time." Jon explained

"So till then we are stuck with the ones that we have now" Robert grunted. "How many houses have Valyrian Steel weapons?" the King asked his hand.

But it was Jaime Lannister who answered.

"House Tarly has the two-handed greatsword Heartsbane, House Corbray has Lady Forlorn, House Mormont has Longclaw, House Harlaw has Nightfall. House Drumm has Red Rain and an axe of no known name by House Celtigar... Oh and Vigilance of house Hightower" Jaime smirked. "Father is obsessed with having a Valyrian Steel weapon for our house and has been trying to buy one for years. He made sure I knew the names since he expects me to continue his efforts."

"Then you have Blackfyre and Dark Sister whose fates are unknown. Brightroar was lost when King Tommen Lannister sailed to Valyria and never returned. Lamentation was lost by House Royce in the storming of the Dragonpit during the Dance of The Dragons. Orphan-Maker belongs to House Peake now but it has been seen in use by their Lords or otherwise in years after Unwine Peeke, so nobody knows if it is still with them" Tyrion added before looking at Jon. "Bryden Rivers carried Dark Sister with him to the nights watch, right?"

"He did" Jon nods. " And only he knows where it is in the great North "

"But it can be found?" Ned asked.

"It can be found" Jon nods.

"So that's... seven Valyrian Stell weapons of known location and one sword currently unknown but can be tracked down" Robert grunted. "What about the rest of the ones with no known location?"

"Blackfyre was taken by Daemon Blackfyre... but not much is known after that" Jon frowned. "There is a good chance that the Golden Company has it in their possession now."

"The Golden Company? What would a Sell Sword Company be doing with a sword like that?" Renly asked.

"The Golden Company is founded by Bittersteel, one of Daemon Blackfyre's most ardent supporters" Tyrion answered, to Jon silent scoff. "Perhaps he took it from Daemon's corpse."

"Perhaps" Jon muttered.

"The one lost to Valyria is lost for good. Our uncle tried to collect it but he too never returned. And we saw what's there in Valyria" Jaime explained.

"House Royce's weapon... was the Dragonpit ever explored and worked on?" Ned asked.

"Not to my knowledge" Jon Arryn answered.

"So there is a chance it could be there..."

"Slim chance... but a chance. Add it to the things to do once we return" Robert grunted.

"What about other Valyrian Steel artefacts? Can they be reforged into weapons?" Elia asked.

"Maybe... not sure. I'll ask Tobho but he never mentioned such a thing to me" Gendry answered, being the only one who had worked with a skilled reforger, he was the only one with a solid answer.

"Ice might be too big for one person to use in battle" Ned added with a small frown. "Perhaps I'll have It reforged into two blades."

"Ned-"

"We need all the weapons we can get" Ned cut his father short. "An extra Valyrian Steel sword might make a big difference."

Rickard was silent as he nodded. His face did not give away his thoughts on the matter.

"The White Walkers are the ones controlling all the dead" Jon began, "and the Night's King is the one controlling the White Walkers. Kill a White Walker, all the dead that it raised will die with it. Kill the Night's king, all the White Walkers die...'

"And with it, the dead" Brandon added with a growl. "No wonder those things stay back and let the undead do most of the killing."

"Dragonglass is the only thing they know that can kill them, the look on the Walker's face when Jon parried his attack said as much. We can use that to our advantage" Oberyn added. "But we will need Dragonglass for the other men. Arrowheads, swords, axes and daggers.

"Dragonstone has a reserve of Dragonglass" Stannis spoke.

"As does Skagos... but the north has had little connection with those people in a long time. They say the Skagosi stick to the old ways still..." Brandon answered.

"It's time the North reconnects with Skagos" Robert grunted. "Ned, you will reach out to Skagos once we return."

Ned nods.

"All well and good, but what do we do with the Wildlings?" Olenna cut in. "We all saw what happens to them if they remain North of the Wall. How do you propose we get them to our side without causing issues for the Northern Lords and the Night's Watch?"

"I have a plan" Ned said and all turned to him.

Jon left as he didn't think he was needed anymore and he knew that Lyanna wouldn't be able sit still for much longer.
