[Inner Region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley – Kent and Commander Agnes’s POV]
Without knowing a manhunt had been issued for his head, Kent and Commander Agnes arrived in the Inner region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley, in a place called Venomous Gorges.
The main reason for coming was for Kent to utilise the superior flame essence there to form his flame veins much faster.
He still had quite a few Flame Veins to form after the initial 8500.
Commander Agnes knew this was just a temporary stop, so she said nothing and continued to follow Kent. Thankfully, because Kent could see quite a large distance around, they were able to enter the Inner region without any battle.
“We will be staying here for at least 20 days,” Kent said, seated in a lotus posture. “The moment we leave here, we will head straight for the location of the Soul Flame Fruit.”
Commander Agnes nodded.
Kent said nothing again and sat with his eyes closed, forming flame veins much faster now.
Of course, the reason was that he had now arrived at a place where the flame essence was much denser and more potent. The more powerful the flame essence, the faster the formation of the flame veins.
Provided his body could handle the heat, then forming his flame veins wasn’t a problem.
The second reason was that the more flame veins he formed, the faster he could absorb the flame essence, increasing the speed at which he formed the flame veins.
’It had only been a day, but I have already formed 2500 flame veins, which is much faster than back in the Outer region,’ Kent said inwardly, a smile playing on his lips.
However, he couldn’t help frowning about something.
’Since the moment we entered this region, I couldn’t help but notice the beasts within a 30,000km radius are moving with a purpose in mind.
It is almost as if they are searching for something or somebody.’ Kent deduced that, knowing the next couple of days, if they maintained the same strange behaviour, he would figure out why before taking any action.
’Although most are Tier 18 Beasts, there are thousands of them, and even if I am a monster, handling a couple of hundreds would be a headache, let alone thousands. I must handle this with care.’
Three days later, Kent took a bold step.
“Commander Agnes, since we are now allies, I will trust you with a secret of mine,” Kent said before using the Map Share to share the Soul Map with Commander Agnes, whose eyes widened the next second.
Kent was using the 80,000km wide view of the Soul Map, focusing more on the Inner region. At the moment, thousands of beasts, mostly snake types, were in groups searching all over the Venomous Gorges, looking for something or someone.
However, what shocked Commander Agnes was the fact that she could now see a vast distance around them.
She kept wondering just how Kent managed to lead her into the Inner region without meeting even a single beast.
Initially, she pegged it as Kent being a good guide, allowing him to enter the Inner region without any hindrance.
However, now she could see the reason.
“No need to look shocked. People around me tend to forget the word insanity after a few days, so you might as well join the bandwagon and be free from shocks in the coming days.”
Kent smiled and then focused on the main reason why he shared the Soul Map with Commander Agnes.
“As you can see, there are thousands of beasts, each behaving in a peculiar way. If I am not mistaken, then they are searching for me.”
“Why would they be searching for you?” Commander Agnes asked. She could indeed see the beasts, and she saw how they were moving about, but there was nothing to suggest they were looking for Kent.
“I really thought long and hard about it. However, aside from me using my Soul Flame to heal you, I have done nothing special to suggest this much scrutiny.
So, this can only mean one thing: the ruler of this domain of the Flame Sea sensed my precious Soul Flame, and they want it for themselves, or they sensed something extremely precious but don’t know what it is, so they sent their lackeys to search for anything out of place.
I know I would do the latter if I were in her place.”
“Humour me, but how can one use Soul Flame to heal?” Commander Agnes asked. Throughout her many years of living, this was her first time hearing such a thing.
Kent smiled and shook his head. “I can’t tell you the main reason, mainly for your own safety. However, my Soul Flame can heal, and it was what I used to heal and bring you back from the dead.
That is the only reason anyone would become this frantic. However, do not panic, we will be getting the Soul Flame Fruit regardless of what is happening.”
Commander Agnes nodded, unsure if this was something she could handle. Facing just 4 Tier 18 beasts was already enough to cost her team. Seeing thousands of them, with even a few Tier 19s, didn’t inspire confidence.
“No need to look down, young lady. Although I can’t kill thousands of them, rest assured, we will be getting what we came for, and in no time, you will return home with a smile on your face.”
Commander Agnes looked at Kent long and hard before asking a question. “Are you really at the Core Formation, or have you disguised your true realm?”
Kent laughed. “Does it really matter? Ultimately, the question is whether we will obtain the Soul Flame Fruit or not. The rest can wait until we get what we came for.”
Commander Agnes nodded.
Just like that, ten days had gone by since they arrived in the Inner region. Within these ten days, a great deal had happened to Kent, bringing him great joy.

This was the message after ten days inside the Inner region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley.
’Agni said I can start forming the Flame Core after I create at least 20,000 Flame Veins. However, now that I have, why do I still feel like I’m lacking in the number of Flame Veins required?
Also, although I can sense the next step, which is Flame Core, I need more flame-rich treasures and a place with much denser flame essence before I can attempt forming a Flame Core.’
Kent stood up.
’This means I must hunt for Flame Cores, Flame Spirits, and even treasures having rich flame essence in them. If possible, even the Soul Flame Fruit would be required.’
Kent maintained a calm look on his face, though his mind was moving in overdrive.
’The only disadvantage we have now is fighting power. I may have become powerful, but I cannot fight my way to the Soul Flame Fruit.’
Kent looked at Commander Agnes and sighed inwardly.
’She can’t help much, meaning I will be doing most of the heavy lifting. However, this is the Inner region; killing just one beast will alert the ruler of this domain, according to what Lady Kami told me.
This means instead of killing, I must subdue them. However, if the Monarch were to appear, then escape will be futile.’
While Kent was thinking, ten Tier 18 beasts were making their way toward them, causing Commander Agnes to start to panic.
However, knowing the beasts can’t sense them unless they come within a 5,000 km distance made her calm down a bit.
