Chapter 966: Verdant Flame of Renewal
Chapter 966: Verdant Flame of Renewal
From the time the soul explosion happened to when the first team appeared on the scene was exactly 5 hours.
The explosion drew them, but everyone was cautious about coming directly to the scene in fear that the attacker was still around. However, some came, but many left before the attack from the beast arrived.
Some ran and were chased.
Some died before the battle even began, with some even killing themselves using life-saving treasures that promised to send them to safety, but they would lose one stage of their cultivation, and it would be twice as hard to recover it.
However, Commander Agnes’s team was unfortunate. They were caught in the assault of four deadly beasts, each a powerhouse that no mere Spirit Lord could handle.
Perhaps, if they were attacked by only one beast, they would have killed it like they had many times over. However, this time things were different, and they each had to fend for themselves.
They did, but things went downhill from there.
However, before the explosion that sent both the beasts and the remaining members of Commander Agnes’s team flying in different directions, Lowell managed to use the return talisman, taking him back to the moon.
However, the rest of the team, including Commander Agnes, was blown away, unsure of what awaited them if they didn’t die upon impact.
Commander Agnes was thrown through the air like she weighed nothing.
She sped across the landscape like a rag doll.
In no time, she travelled several thousand miles deeper into the outer region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley.
However, just when she was about to hit the ground, a person appeared and caught her. The person then vanished in an instant, appearing inside a cave filled with a potent amount of flame essence.
“Set her down there,” a Tier 18 Forsaken Soul Spirit set Commander Agnes’s body to the side. Kent flicked his hand, and a golden flame appeared on his palm.
“Meeting me is your fortune, lady. However, coming back from the dead will depend on your will to live.”
The flame flew from his hand and landed on her forehead. In an instant, the golden flame turned into a green-colored flame that enveloped the lady, whose injuries were immediately healed, and her clothes were reduced to nothing.
The flame engulfed her, sealing her private parts.
Not that Kent was interested in her goodies. He had seen that of goddesses, and so a mere mortal was of no interest to him.
“There is still so much flame essence here. If I stay for a few days, I am sure forming close to 5000 flame veins won’t be impossible.”
Kent closed his eyes again and went back to his memories, unaware of the eyes he had called on himself by using the Verdant Flame of Renewal to heal the lady and nourish her body.
The Nine Flames of Nirvana that Kent used to create his body when he attained Nirvana through body cultivation all had unique aspects.
The green flame, which was recognised during the primordial era as the Verdant Flame of Renewal, had healing and rebirth aspects.
It can mend wounds, purify toxins, and restore vitality. In fact, its essence was what the Phoenix race inherited, which granted them rebirth, allowing them to rise from the ashes and advance to higher stages.
With the Verdant Flame of Renewal, Kent was basically immortal, for it would take more than killing him to actually kill him.
Of course, when he merely had the flames in his core, killing him was possible. However, after Nana helped him merge them with his Chaos Soul flame, his healing speed increased significantly.
However, it wasn’t just him who could benefit. If he wanted, he could share it with others. He shared it with the lady who was currently healed of all external wounds and was undergoing internal healing.
However, temporarily using the flame, even though he didn’t know it yet, a pair of scarlet eyes opened deep within the core region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley, looking for something they sensed yet couldn’t see.
—
[Core region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley]
Inside the core region of the Serpent’s Coil Valley, there is a mountain made purely from a special stone known as Immortal Flame Stones.
They are said to contain traces of immortal qi. Though faint, cultivating the flame essence from it promises to, even if not recognisable, temper the body with immortal qi.
The mountain is 20 km tall.
At the centre of this mountain is a large cave that has been carefully carved with attention to detail.
The door frames are made from black stones, and standing guard are two Tier 19 (Peak Heavenly Ascension stage) Nagas.
They each have their eyes open. One is wielding a staff made from wood, and the other is wielding dual flame-forged sabres
Inside the cave, it was decorated with jade stones and various items that suggest a human lives there. However, the lady inside the beautiful cave, with scarlet hair, ember tattoos glowing across her skin, and cute red eyes, was no human.
These items used in the decorations were salvaged from wanderers they had killed.
She had her eyes open and was looking into the distance. One could tell she was looking for something; however, after a few minutes, she sighed.
“I sensed something extremely powerful inside my domain; however, it seemed to be too far from me,” she muttered before calling out to her guards.
The two Nagas appeared.
“Niraya, Vashara, go to the inner region and look for something for me,” the lady said, looking her two trusted guards in the eye.
“Whatever the Monarch commands, we will get it done.”
“Good. Head to the inner region and look for something or someone out of place. If you find them and you can capture them, do so and bring them to me.
If you can’t, then use the bracelet. I will come to you. Of course, if you need assistance in searching for the thing, use the three rulers of the inner regions as you see fit. Kill all who dare resist.”
“We will get it done, Monarch.”
She nodded, “You can leave, and I expect results.”
The two Nagas left and soon vanished into the distance, heading to the inner region to search for something that, if their Monarch got her hands on, would allow her to not only finally break the 30th limit on her body, but she would also awaken her Innate Beast Body, allowing her to ascend to an Immortal whenever she pleases.

Meanwhile, Kent remained in the cave, just 120,000 km away from the inner section, unaware that danger was heading toward him.
If only he knew that saving the lady would bring bad news to him, he wouldn’t have done so. However, since the danger hadn’t located him yet, he could only sit in silence and form his flame veins.
Two days went by, yet the flame essence in the cave didn’t seem to be thinning down anytime soon.
“I have already formed 3500 flame veins. Adding to the 1000 I already have, that is 4500.” Kent smiled, “At this rate, I will be nearing 5000 in a day.”
Commander Agnes still hadn’t woken up yet.
Three more days later, making a total of five days, the lady woke up, and the first thing she did was lunge at Kent with a dagger she had retrieved from her space ring.
However, it was caught between Kent’s fingers just when it arrived before his face.
“Looks like you are awake,” Kent smirked.
