“Your big brother, you say.” Uncle Drew studied the two petite ladies and smiled.
’They are harmless, almost as if they hadn’t killed a fly before.’
As someone who had killed his fair share of people and beasts, he knew when he saw a dangerous person and a harmless one. Of course, there are many assassins who appear harmless but will strike when you least expect it.
Uncle Drew had met dozens of them in his time in the underworld and in his past life as Kael Duskbane—general and right-hand man of the Wraith Queen.
He saw how an ally could easily turn and stab you in the back. He had witnessed many betrayals, and so his senses had been tuned to the point that even the faintest killing intent wouldn’t escape him.
So, looking at the two ladies, he knew they were no killers.
However, he couldn’t just take them into the tower without Kent’s permission.
“I do know your big brother. He is my master,” Uncle Drew said, making Yuna and Purity happy.
They had just arrived in the High World, and coincidentally, the world they had arrived in was under attack by a group of people who claimed to be legions under the same person they were seeking.
Yuna and Purity were happy about that; however, they also knew interfering in their battle was not the way forward. So they relaxed and waited for the battle to come to an end.
However, just when they could approach them, the fourteen immortals attacked, and they were powerless to stop them.
Like Uncle Drew said, the two were harmless. They couldn’t even kill a fly if they wanted to.
Of course, causing trouble here and there was within their capabilities; however, engaging in full-on combat, knowing someone would die, was beyond them.
They just couldn’t do that.
Just like everyone else, they could only stand by and watch. Thankfully, just when things turned dire, Uncle Drew returned to save the day.
“Mister, can you take us to him? We miss Big Brother so much,” Yuna said, her expression brightening up as she stared at Uncle Drew with puppy eyes.
Uncle Drew smiled weakly and decided to talk to Vexthra first.
’My lady, I have a little issue on my hand here. There are two adorable ladies here who claim they are Master’s sisters. They came from an immortal world, and they want me to take them to him.’
Vexthra, who had finally managed to send Alina to sleep by using her divine energy on her, sighed and responded to Uncle Drew.
’Ask where they know him from.’
“Question, where do you ladies know my young master from?”
“Big Brother saved me 370,000 years ago and took me to Pyris Pill Alliance, where I met Big Sister Nefeli. Big Brother promised to come back for me soon, but he didn’t, so I came looking for him.”
Uncle nodded and turned to Purity. “How about you, Little Flame?”
Purity clearly didn’t like being called Little Flame, but to leave a good impression, she smiled and answered, “I came from the Pill Ascension Realm. Big Brother Kent gave me to Yuna as her guardian and friend.”
“I see.”
Uncle Drew relayed their response to Vexthra, who immediately knew they were telling the truth. Kent had already told them about all the amazing people he met when he traveled to the past.
She was already aware of Yuna, so hearing she had come to look for him made her happy. She knew Kent would be happy to meet her.
’Bring them in. However, Kent is in seclusion, so they will have to spend time in the tower city for the time being.’
Uncle Drew nodded and then turned to Yuna and Purity.
“Looks like your big brother is in seclusion, but his amazing goddess wife is not, so I will be taking you to her now… She wants to meet you ladies.”
Yuna and Purity became happy hearing that.
Uncle Drew smiled and looked at the people staring at them from afar one last time before waving his hand. The next second, they vanished into the tower, leaving everyone stunned.
“Where did they go?” one of them asked.
His friend turned and looked at him. “Why ask me? It is not like I know where they went.”
Some of them spread their senses, hoping to find a trace of them. However, they underestimated their current strength. As suppressed immortals, they could not sense as deeply as they used to.
So, seeing that they couldn’t find them, they turned their focus to figuring out who the two ladies were.
Some of them started pulling all the knowledge they had. However, they couldn’t figure out who Yuna and Purity were.
Of course, as time went by, some started getting clues until someone suddenly figured out who Yuna was, thanks to her sterling reputation.
“Initially, because she didn’t have her immortal aura, I didn’t recognize her. However, now that I have taken my time to examine her appearance, I think… no, I believe the one with the dark hair is the infamous Silver Tongue of Pyris Gate.”
