Chapter 1114: Sealing The Promise
Chapter 1114: Sealing The Promise
“How are you feeling?” Kent asked right when they broke their kiss and hug.
Unity smiled and answered, “I feel complete. Well, I still have no idea how my shameless pursuit of love from someone who had given up on love ended. Also, I am yet to know anything about my life as the Goddess of Love and Art, but in all, I feel complete.”
Kent nodded with a small smile. “I am sorry for how I treated you back then. In my defense, I was going through a heartbreak, so sorry.”
Unity smirked, “I don’t care about what happened between us back then. What matters is that now that we have a second chance, we might as well make the best out of it.”
“You are right. We should make the most of this second chance. It is not always that we get to have this.”
“That is absolutely true.”
The two lovers looked into each other’s eyes and smiled.
Things aren’t always black and white, so since they have a second chance, making the most out of it is the only way forward.
“On that note, we should probably commemorate our new promise with sex. It is only right… right?” Unity asked, looking at Kent with eyes filled with lust and attention.
Kent didn’t deny her the fantasy she knew Unity was thinking at the moment. Naturally, he has a lot to apologize for, so sex to get things started was only right…

Time quickly passed, and in no time, there was only an hour left before the final match in the Interplanetary Sect Competition started.
As expected, it would be between the Supreme Immortal Sect and the Celestial Gate Sect.
Naturally, the Celestial Gate Sect had a sure chance to win if Kent didn’t come, so they were already looking forward to the battle.
Meanwhile, the disciples of the Supreme Immortal Sect began to panic. Despite Elsa personally healing the souls of the four seeded candidates, they were still in no shape to fight. If they were to fight in the upcoming battle, it would be detrimental to them.
So only Vanna, Nyss, and the two other disciples would be going against the seven disciples of the Celestial Gate Sect.
“The only upside we have is the individual battles. This time, we get to decide, so we can call for it, and hopefully, we win all four battles.
However, I doubt they will accept fighting all the battles if they were to lose three. This can only mean that, regardless of how many individual battles we win, they can request a team battle where we will be outnumbered and outclassed.”
Lady Enzi sighed and then looked toward Princess Eshira, who was seated with a weak expression on her face. She was still weak from exhausting her mind, soul, and body.
Elaine had already used up all the ’Leaf of Life’ when they went to the Paragon Universe, so she couldn’t restore her energy to normal. But even if she had one, using it would have been a waste.
Objectively, they could have let them rest in the tower. If that had happened, all of them would have recovered by then, since that would have been 25 days for them. Plenty of time for them to heal.
However, Vexthra said no when her sisters suggested that. To her, this was a sect competition where disciples were competing against the best from other sects.
Using the tower would, in a way, cheat and deprive them of a very valuable lesson. Losing five teammates is already a lesson to them.
Sometimes, an unexpected action can put you in a situation where you either forfeit or fight against the odds and win.
“Looks like you guys have found yourselves in a weird one, huh?” Suddenly, just when everyone was out of options, Kent appeared… alone, causing everyone’s expressions to brighten up.
They surrounded him, especially Nyss, who was taking more room than even Kent’s wives.
Not that they cared. They will have him for themselves soon enough…
In a way, his wives had become more invested in the competition than even the disciples. They also wanted to participate in a competition like this.
Vexthra had already told them that when they reached the Immortal World, she would allow them to experience true sect life. So for now, they could only fantasize about it.
“Big brother, with you here now, we will win for sure,” Nyss said, sounding very happy. The idea that she was several years older than Kent, yet behaved like a child, baffled everyone. However, she didn’t seem to care about that.
“Oh…I will defeat them with a wave of my finger.” Kent, of course, was on the same level of energy as Nyss.
His response seemed to have made everyone calm down. Kent’s presence was indeed a welcome one.
Kent looked at the four seeded disciples and Princess Elowen. “You all did well. Now, allow me and the others to win. Afterward, we can just ascend knowing we won an interplanetary competition for our sect.”
They nodded to his words.
Kent smiled. Then he waved his hand, and five pills landed on his palm. He tossed them to the five, who caught them with careful demeanors.
“These are Tier 9 Soul Strengthening Pills. They are all perfect pills, so the potency is high. They will repair and strengthen your soul.”
They nodded and swallowed them in one go. Soon, the effect took hold, and they closed their eyes to begin cultivating the overwhelming soul energy that was entering their bodies.
“So, when is the battle?” Kent asked, and Nyss was quick to answer.
“We have just an hour more to go.”
“Okay then. Looks like we still have some more time to go. In any case, we should be ready to kick their ass,” Kent said and sat down to meditate too.
Nyss followed suit, although she didn’t need to. Kent was merely meditating to ask the tower to place limits on his body.
After recalling more of Chaos’s memories, Kent’s strength took another leap. If he didn’t put measures in place, he might just accidentally kill somebody.
It was rather delicious to think someone would place limits instead of breaking them. Kent had become so powerful now.
It was all thanks to Chaos, who spent centuries killing. Both Kent’s killing intent and understanding of combat in both his demi-dragon and true dragon forms had surged.
Now, he had become so powerful that if he were to face the same angels he faced back in Paragon’s Universe, killing them wouldn’t be too hard.
This also meant his foundation had become much stronger. The only thing left for him now was to ascend, and breaking past the Core Formation would come much faster than one would think.
After a couple of minutes, making sure he had limited himself enough, he opened his eyes.
Unity was not with him simply because her presence would cause chaos.
Unlike Vexthra, who had sealed her divinity and even lowered her appearance to blend in, Unity could not do that yet. Her divine energy was like a magnet.
Her walking around would attract and create too much chaos.
Before she could come out and roam the outside world, she had to first learn how to control the divine energy in her bloodline. So for now, to make sure nations and kingdoms didn’t fall, she had to remain inside the tower.
After a few more minutes, Kent and everyone left for the final battle between the Supreme Immortal Sect and the Celestial Gate Sect.
