Chapter 1970 Chapter 1962: Swift Accumulation (2)
Tilly felt the pulsating beats of her heart, intensifying with every passing second as she followed this young cultivator whose bearing, presence, and looks touched upon an unearthly pinnacle. In only a few words, she had given herself to him, fallen to a primal, delicious lust, but was swaying to his every whim. She didn't think herself an easy woman by any stretch of the imagination, yet here she was diligently keeping close to this young cultivator's side.
Unbeknownst to her, the next sequence of events that was dawning on the horizon would throw her entire comprehensible world into complete disarray!
"Are we doing that?" Magus inquired with a soft hum.
"Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! Hehehe!!" Ori cheered, its tone downright mischievous and diabolical to the senses.
"Do not hold back," King said. Only four words, but they were constructed with an immeasurable weight and an incomprehensible depth. It wasn't an instruction nor a warning. It was a wish. A hope born by its edge.
The words caused Kratos, who was gearing to sprout domineering nonsense in a thundering roar, to quiet down and enter a dour mood. All of its intended words gathered together, crunching within the primordial throbs of Wei Wuyin's heart, and coalescing into a single sentence: "No cage can bind us."
It was a reminder.
It was a message filled to the brim with an unshakeable confidence.
It was a guarantee that it would be willing to bet on its life.
Eden could feel the unrestrained supportive flows of its family. Surges of energies made their way to it, from the Dantian, the Heart, the Mind's Eye, and beside itโthe Sea of Consciousness. All of them were lending their hands. Its Mystic Form became illuminated with a bright, divinely radiant brilliance.
Wei Wuyin heartily laughed with the air of a paragon. Eyes from all over drew to him as he briskly walked forward under the company of an Entry Moderator. The Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation followed suit, illuminating his eyes with an unforgettable seven-colored spiritual radiance tainted by the golden hue of war.
Tilly's eyes widened. 'Who is this man?!' The question erupted like a supernova in her thoughts.
Wei Wuyin picked up speed. Tilly found her waist seized, and Wei Wuyin took to the skies with her in tow.
Boosh!
An explosion of air erupted as Wei Wuyin jetted across the Lower Tectonic Zone, one of the 3,000 zones that existed within the battlefield. As he did so, a few disgruntled Creationists left their tents and cursed at him in their hearts. None of them were Alchemists, however. Those of that profession gawked without control, staring at his trail in sheer awe.
His speed was aggressively fast, unleashing periodic booms to accelerate, allowing his speed to climb higher and higher with each boom. Wei Wuyin finally had some scope as to the enormity of the entire zone, and despite being able to see the Towers of Gaia, they were mind-bogglingly far.
Most individuals would rely on the Identity Rune to issue a relocation request, await a Transportation Moderator to arrive, and then use their authority to transport the requester. This was the common mode for zone travel, relying on the existing systems and secondary assistants. The fact that it took Wei Wuyin nearly two minutes to reach the edge of the Lower Tectonic Zone was an extraordinary discovery.
When he arrived, Tilly was dizzy, clutching against Wei Wuyin's robes with a fierce grip. Wei Wuyin was moving so fast that she couldn't see her surroundings clearly at all! How far did they travel? The tunneling effect she felt reminded her of the time when she was only a mortal, traveling with her uncle across starfields on a Void Vessel at full speed.
Wei Wuyin gently caressed her stomach with his fingers, his arm still wrapped around her slender, petite waist, sending a wisp of energy. Her discomfort eased immediately. Sensing her coming to a fully settled state, Wei Wuyin gazed further ahead. The Tower of Gaia for the neighboring zone, the Lower Soil Zone, was in sight. Not only that, but there were seemingly endless Globes of Creation up in the air.
The demarcation between zones was also abundantly clear, covered by a cascading waterfall wall of translucent liquid energy. The wall was only about a thousand meters away, yet the aura of chaos was intense, frighteningly so for an ordinary Creationist.
"That's the Defense Wall," Tilly found herself almost cradled in Wei Wuyin's arm, yet this comfortable position afforded her the time to comment and perform her duties, almost instinctively so. Wei Wuyin's eyes narrowed slightly. Just behind the wall was the Tower of Gaia for that region.
"I haven't told you about how war unfolds on this battlefield. In the Battlefield or Order, besides the trials, an offensive and defensive effort, whether it's independently handled or jointly done by an army, was based on and determined by Creation Value. This is judged on a variety of criteria too long to list. For Alchemists, however, it's easier to explain. The Creation Value of a product is determined by the grade of challenge, rank, tier, quality, effect, time spent concocting, and number of failures preceding success-seven standards.
"When an alchemist issues an offensive, they begin by selecting a grade of challenge. This establishes the foundation by which the enemy can defend. The grades are: Spirit, Soul, and Dao. This will determine the list of products that one can select, and the value of certain products. For example, a sixth-grade Mortal-Rank product was worth more in the Spirit grade than the Soul grade. Then, from this list, a product will be decided upon, and the Alchemists will concoct it.
Upon success, the defender has a limited time to mount a defense by matching the Creation Value determined. If done so, they would have stopped the offensive and fended off a Chaos Descent, and if they succeed with excess, they can counterattack. If they failed to do so, all losing participants would suffer a devastating Chaos Descent. This is why wars were rarely declared. When a full-blown war is executed, that is challenging the entire zone.
"An ENTIRE zone! As such, typically, only well-planned out efforts are behind these declarations with clear intentions."
Wei Wuyin was already aware of this detail in the Battlefield. This was why he was here. He wasn't here for a lengthy stay.
"According to the rules, there's only a time limit for concoction. Nothing else. If a Creationist desires, they can select additional items on the list to bolster their Creation Value." Wei Wuyin calmly said as he leapt toward the wall. Tilly yelped softly as she felt the wind brush her face. They landed just one foot away from the wall.
"Tha-that's indeed true. There's a few Creationist that specialize in speed creation, a type of path that relies on lower-graded products, armaments, talismans, or arts to accumulate Creation Value to defeat their opponent. But it's not always reliable. The weakness of those fellows is easily spotted: select a higher grade to fight in.
"They are almost always killed by the Chaos Descent after defeat. Disastrously so. After all, they expend great energy for quantity over quality, leaving barely anything in reserve."
Wei Wuyin nodded. "And-according to the rules, Creation Value equates to Merit."
Tilly blinked. She nodded, "Mn." Then, she thought for a moment, "But also the strength of your opponent matters as well."
Wei Wuyin's eyes sparked to life, "So if, let's say, a single person challenged an entire zone to a war, their merit would be multiplied by...an incredible amount. Right?"
Tilly's eyes widened slightly. "On-only if they win. If they lost, they'd..."
"Then," Wei Wuyin's hand pressed against the defense wall, his spiritual aura seething against the overbearing force and spiritual suppression, "what if..."
Tilly's already wide eyes expanded further.
Wei Wuyin flashed a divinely radiant grin, exuding a paragonic charm, "What if..."
Tilly gulped so heavily that it was audible to ghosts and gods alike, her heart seemingly threatening to burst out of her abundant chest. She used her hands to clutch at Wei Wuyin's robes, as if seeking solace from the rising anticipation of the unknown.
Wei Wuyin turned toward the wall, feeling the chaos wash over his fingers. The Identity Rune appeared within his hand, awashed by pure chaos.
"I, Creationist of the Alchemic Dao, Commander of the 44th, DECLARE WAR-"
Madness surged within his eyes. Unfettered. Unleashed. Reinforced by paragonic pride and adamant greed. A desire latent within his heart, carried since his younger days, erupted without shackles.
"I DECLARE A WAR OF CREATION! ON EVERY OTHER ZONE!!!"
BOOSH!!!
Explosions flared everywhere as 2,999 Towers of Gaia illuminated the entire Stellar Battlefield of Order!!!!!
