Chapter 94/A Diseased Obsession
Chapter 94: 94/A Diseased Obsession
Chapter 94
Alexander’s Point of View
Valentina came with us to the club to spend the night against my will. The moment we sat in the closed, private VIP suite, Damian and Mike began setting up rowdy, provocative drinking challenges, pouring glass after glass with utter recklessness. Meanwhile, Valentina only drank two small glasses, remaining awake, observing the atmosphere with sharp intelligence and a suspicious calmness. This chaotic, tense situation lasted for a very long time, and the heavy drinks kept coming to the point that my head began to grow unnaturally heavy. I could no longer remember what happened next in detail; my vision blurred completely before I plunged into the darkness of sleep and total unconsciousness.
The next morning, I opened my eyes heavily, a severe pain squeezing my forehead. I felt the coldness of the silk sheets against my skin. I found myself lying in bed completely naked. The blood froze entirely in my veins, and I was utterly petrified when I turned to my side and found Valentina with me, also naked beneath the exact same cover.
I bolted upright from my place like an idiot, my entire body convulsing with genuine horror and a chill that shook my core as I rubbed my face and eyes in utter disbelief. She woke from her sleep at my violent, sudden movement, looking at me with a calm indifference that intensely provoked me. Fixing my shocked gaze upon her, I demanded in a raspy voice trembling with rage and agitation: "What exactly happened here?"
She leaned her back against the pillows, tilting her head as she replied with lethal coldness: "Don’t you remember anything of what happened between us all night long?"
I grabbed my head with both hands, which were burning with heat and pressure, and snarled through my grit teeth: "I don’t remember a fucking thing! Tell me right now what happened!"
She lunged her small body toward me, bridging the distance between us, and said with artificial certainty and confidence: "You were the one who approached me last night and gripped me tightly."
I shook my head in revulsion and disgust, recoiling my body to the far edge of the bed as I spoke in a decisive tone: "No... impossible. I never commit this kind of filth while I am in my right mind."
Her eyes narrowed with stubborn persistence, and she went on the offensive, claiming: "Yes, you did. You tried to kiss me and touch me while I tried to pull away from you at first, but you were extremely insistent and persistent."
I pulled at my hair in sheer frustration, a suffocating shortness of breath crushing my chest as I said: "I was completely wasted and entirely blacked out! I didn’t know what the hell I was doing!"
She shrugged her shoulders with lethal nonchalance and answered: "That is your problem alone, not mine."
I slammed my powerful palm against the mattress with a violence that shook the structure of the bed, growling bitterly: "Damn it... damn this wretched luck and that entire night!"
She knitted her brows in disapproval and annoyance, snapping in an elevated tone: "What is wrong with you, panicking like this? Are you going to put all the blame on me now and play innocent?"
I stood on my feet with frantic haste, my eyes scanning the corners of the room for my clothes scattered across the floor. With sparks of fury and absolute menace flying from my eyes, I warned: "I don’t want anyone to know about this filthy matter. Is that clear?"
She stood up as well, wrapping the white sheet tightly around herself, and said with a glimmer of hope and a cunning smile flashing in her eyes: "And why hide it? You told me yourself that you admired me and my actions last night before we went to sleep."
I turned to her with features as rigid and stern as stone, projecting a sharp voice that nearly tore my throat: "Enough with the lies and bullshit! I never said anything of the sort!"
She smiled with absolute, unshaken confidence, locking her challenging gaze into my eyes as she said boldly: "From now on, you have to accept reality... you are my boyfriend."
I froze in the middle of putting on my shirt, my hands stiffening. I stared at her with intense bewilderment and deep disgust, asking: "Are you out of your mind, or just obsessed?"
She answered with extremely serious features, entirely devoid of any humor: "Very much so... I am obsessed with you, Alexander."
I dressed with blind, messy haste, escaping that cursed room like someone fleeing a fatal plague about to slaughter him. Since that ominous, black day, she has been pursuing me like a maniac everywhere, violating my privacy. She had even exploited my complete lack of consciousness that night, stealing my private personal phone number from my pocket while I was wasted, remaining trapped in her diseased imagination, believing that I am her boyfriend and that I will belong to her.
A burning, deep sigh escaped from the depths of my chest. I opened my eyes slowly, returning from the abyss of memories to the present, back to my current dark room. I turned my body around, facing my wife, Stephanie, who was now buried beneath the cover, fast asleep. Her calm, regular breathing echoed through the space, restoring my serenity.
My hand extended with overwhelming tenderness and a rushing longing. I brushed the tips of my fingers with extreme lightness and softness through the strands of her silky hair draped across the pillow. Bringing my face close to her innocent face, I spoke in a whispering, raspy voice emerging from the depths of my heart laden with truths: "I have never betrayed you, Stephanie... you are the only one who resides in my heart and mind."
I moved slowly across the mattress so as not to disturb her, gradually drawing my massive frame closer to her until I felt the warmth of her breath. Extending my arm cautiously, I wrapped it around her waist with a simultaneous force and tenderness, pulling her toward my chest until our bodies fused and no empty space separated us anymore.
I felt her body stiffen for a few seconds at first, but with the heaviness of her sleep, she began to gradually relax, surrendering to the warmth of my embrace. Unknowingly, her breaths mingled with mine, and she drifted into a deep sleep nestled within my arms.
I closed my eyes, tightening my embrace around her, wishing deep within myself that this warmth would erase all the doubts planted by that text message, before my exhausted body finally surrendered to sleep while holding her securely.
