Chapter 2759: God King Versus God Killer II

The World Boss Fenrir Unchained roared at the God King Odin when he got sent flying towards the edge of the battlefield once more. The pain that he suffered from the power of Gungnir could be forgotten as long as he gets to kill the God King Odin. Even with his large size, the World Boss Fenrir Unchained could not even lay a claw towards the God King Odin as if the latter was untouchable.

The God King Odin looked as valiant as ever but he knew that he must stay vigilant. The God of Mischief Loki is still present in the area and would use any dirty method to win any battle. The God King Odin knows this because he has used the devious mind of the God of Mischief Loki lots of times. He even used the devious plans to sow some discord amongst the Asgardian gods.

Even if he were the God King of Asgard, Odin has yet to fully trust the other gods which is why he made use of the notoriety of the God of Mischief Loki. He made sure that the God of Mischief Loki would be the one that will be blamed if it is revealed. For example, the God King Odin feared that the God of War Tyr would outclass him in martial prowess.

The fear from being outclassed made the God King Odin devise a plan that involved Fenrir. The God King Odin commanded the God of Mischief Loki to tell his son to bite the hand of the one using the chains of subjugation on it. The God of War Tyr was the one that bound Fenrir first and had to sacrifice one hand as a result. Not only did the God of War Tyr became weakened, he also found respect for the God King Odin more because he was pampered and shown revelry for his sacrifice.

Another one of the God King Odin’s plans is the reduction of the Valkyries. He made use of the God of Mischief Loki’s devious plan of having them be the forefront warriors that the god king can call upon. The God King Odin has always been wary of the Goddess Freyja because she can rival him. The only reason that the Goddess Freyja did not become a god queen is due to her bowing her head towards the God King Odin back then in order to spare the Vanir gods.

Even if the Goddess Freyja has vowed to be subservient to the God King Odin, the Valkyries were still a fighting force that he cannot ignore. If the Valkyries were loyal to him then he would not have been wary of them but they were only loyal to the Goddess Freyja. As such, the God King Odin weaponized the Goddess Freyja’s subservience and sent the Valkyries in life-or-death missions.

The Valkyries that were a massive army slowly dwindled as a result but elites have been born. The Valkyries became known as the Judges of Death in the battlefield as they are practically beings that deliver death to those that the God King Odin wants dead. Still, this is a fitting result for the God King Odin as he can wipe out a few handfuls of Valkyries than hordes of them.

“I just need to kill that loudmouth and everything will be buried. All the things that I have done using his devious mind will never be leaked. I shall be remembered as the god king that is fierce in battle but a righteous king.” The God King Odin muttered.

“I can practically think what is on your mind now, Odin.” The voice of the God of Mischief Loki entered the God King Odin’s ears.

The God King Odin swung Gungnir in an arc and destroyed several invisible clones of the God of Mischief Loki. The God King Odin already knew of the tactics that the God of Mischief Loki uses. It is not the first time that he fought and easily defeated the trickster god after all. The God of Mischief Loki is now using the power he kept hidden because he is always shamed by other Asgardian gods when using it. Layers of frost could be seen on the ground and on Gungnir as the clones were created using ice.

“So, you are now openly using that disgusting power of yours. I thought that you really hated using it when your Asgardian side is more beautiful. Your mother was the Goddess of Forest Fire after all but your father is a Frost Giant.” The God King Odin stated.

The God of Mischief Loki then appeared before the God King Odin with sigils on his body and ice blue skin. This is the effect when the God of Mischief Loki uses the power he inherited from his father. Power so immense that his own body would transform to a suitable form in order to handle it. This is also the reason why his body could shapeshift easily because he would have died if he did not do so.

“Who cares of who sees me in this form. All of you will die anyway. Once I ascend to a High God, my body would undergo a transformation so powerful that it will recreate me. That is the reason why High Gods and those above it are different compared to greater gods and lesser gods. All of you have become one with the law.” The God of Mischief Loki stated.

“Did you learn that from the other High Gods that you have observed?” The God King Odin asked.

“No. My mother told me this as she was a High Goddess before you killed her.” The God of Mischief Loki stated as he created ice daggers that launched themselves towards the God King Odin.

“You know that you cannot defeat me.” The God King Odin stated as the ice daggers did not even touch his body because of the barrier around him.

“Oh! I know that my attacks will be ineffective against you. It will still be used as a way to focus your attention though.” The God of Mischief Loki stated which made the God King Odin react slowly to the threat that appeared behind him.

The World Boss Fenrir Unchained used the shadows to move behind the God King Odin. The World Boss Fenrir Unchained then imbued his claws with as much divine energy as he could and slashed at the God King Odin from behind. The World Boss Fenrir Unchained claws got blocked by the barrier that the God King Odin deployed but that only held true for a few seconds. The barrier that could not be scratched even with the powers of a frost giant suddenly cracked at the tyrannical energy of the World Boss Fenrir Unchained.

“Impossible!” The God King Odin stated.

“It is possible because your other subjects are now dead. Look over there because your god of war has fallen.” The God of Mischief Loki stated as the God of War Tyr’s head has now become a chew toy for the Bloodstained Hellhound Garmr.

Just as the God of Mischief Loki stated, the God of War Tyr has fallen. The buff that he provided to the entirety of the Asgardian faction vanished at the moment of his death. This led to the lesser gods being easily killed by the other wolves. Funnily enough, the God of War Tyr might not have fallen in battle if he could grip another sword. He fought with everything that he has but it fell short due to being the opponent of the Bloodstained Hellhound Garmr.

“I picked that dog up forcefully that my own daughter now disowns me. It was her favorite pet dog and I used the magic that you used to subjugate monsters. Of course, I tweaked it a little bit so that it will only be obedient to me. I even tested it on my own daughter before I escaped from the death realms.” The God of Mischief Loki stated as he really did betray his own daughter in order to make sure that this plan of his succeeds.

“You abandoned your daughter which is one of the strongest goddesses of death. I guess you really are betting everything in this hostile takeover that you have planned.” The God King Odin stated as he made the barrier explode once more to send the World Boss Fenrir Unchained flying.

“I had asked her to join me but she is very devoted to her death realm now. She even said that she will not accept my soul if I were to die because of the betrayal that I caused her. That is fine with me because I shall never die as I will become the new God King of Asgard.” The God of Mischief Loki stated but his real body is actually already next to the God King Odin.

“Did you really think that I have not detected your presence?” The God King Odin stated as he grabbed the God of Mischief Loki by the neck.
