Chapter 2626: Four Demonic Generals II

“Tch! These mortals only know how to submit and do not even give me a proper challenge. I need somewhere to release my stress on.” Nuba stated as she just conquered the fifth town.

She made sure to actually destroy some structures along the way while minimizing the casualties as the Corrupted Huanglong commanded them to capture as many mortals as possible. She also started her stress relieving activities by destroying any sculpture of the Vermillion Bird of the South. Any paraphernalia that has resemblance to the Vermillion Bird of the South are burned at her hands.

“Why are they even worshipping worthless deities anyways when all of them are already dead? These mortals have never been in the presence of a real god!” Nuba stated as she marched forward to another town.

As she traversed the wild woods of the southern area, she suddenly found herself looking at a peculiar swordsman that emitted a strange energy around him. This strange swordsman also has a bamboo hat which obscured his face. Nuba suddenly found another way to cure her boredom as those that are in the way are free casualties that she could toy with. The Corrupted Huanglong only told her to subdue those in the cities which means any being that is travelling could be killed at her discretion.

“You should blame your own luck for running into me!” Nuba shouted as her long dress suddenly turned into flaming snakes that headed towards the swordsman.

The swordsman noticed the presence of the attack and immediately counterattacked. The swordsman released one quick slice with his katana, and it looked like he was able to cut space itself for a moment. The flaming dress was actually destroyed by the katana of the swordsman as his bamboo hat fluttered in the wind from his movement.

“Are you the ones that they said are wreaking havoc in the eastern continent?” Blade stated as his hand was now partially transformed into a red blood demon hand.

“I told you that this continent is not in its stable period. I could feel the strength of that Yellow Emperor returned while the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts are no more.” Talim stated as it was nagging at Blade.

“Ever since you have been fully awakened, you have become quite the nagging expert. Help me deal with this enemy and then you can berate me with what I did wrong.” Blade stated as he activated the First Seal.

[Your stats will now increase by 10% and your weapon attacks have 20% increased critical strike chance.]

Blade unlocked the first seal and a demon mask appeared on his face as his eyes turned red. Since he uses the quickdraw style with his own variations, Blade’s sword draw is incredibly quick and lethal that even Nuba did not notice that he already appeared next to her. Blade drew his sword and a quick slash suddenly gashed Nuba’s body.

“Argh!” Nuba cried out as she was more shocked than actually hurt.

“Hey! Watch where you point that thing! I could feel the intense heat here! Do not use me to block those fire spells.” Talim shouted as it felt a powerful burst of heat affect its metal body.

“She did not use any fire spells because her body from the neck is entirely made up of flames.” Blade stated as he saw the real appearance of Nuba.

Nuba did look like a beautiful maiden that is dressed in red flaming robes but that is actually used to hide the fact that she no longer has an actual lower body. He is just one long spine from the neck down and the only thing with flesh in her actual body are her head, neck, and hands. The rest if her body is made of flames that she conjures using her own divine energy.

“She is ugly! She is so scary and that should say a lot because I am a sword.” Talim stated to mock Nuba as it believed that its voice could not be heard by the being they are fighting.

The current form of Nuba is not something that she created because she wanted to. This is what she actually looks like even back then or at least back when the Corrupted Huanglong was finished experimenting with her body. She was one of the gods that did not become mad and obtain great power in return for having their forms twisted from their conventional look.

In return for having her entire body from the neck down disappear, Nuba managed to become the most powerful of the Gods and Goddesses of Fire or Drought in the eastern continent. She could even create a temporary sun if she so wishes but it also came at a cost that her body is gone. Her personality became twisted due to the result of that experiment as well.

The Goddess Nuba was a warm sun goddess back then and she even competed in beauty against the Goddess Nuwa. Now, her current form is only superficial beauty as even her pretty floating head is actually an illusion maintained by her own divine energy. What she truly looks like is a dried-up female head attacked to a flaming spine.

“Who did you say was ugly, old looking relic!? I am going to melt you down until you are just charcoal!” Nuba shouted as it seems to be able to intercept the mental waves that Talim could create to talk with Blade.

Nuba, being embarrassed and blinded by anger, used an intense amount of divine energy to surround the entire area in flames. She is a Goddess of Drought after all, and she has the strength of a Lesser God at her peak. Burning down an entire forest is not impossible for her, but she is conserving some of her strength. She believed that this strength is enough to defeat a wandering demon cultivator like Blade.

“She is underestimating us, Blade! Show that ugly thing what we can do!” Talim shouted as Blade agreed.

“Agreed! Unleash the Second to Fourth Seals!” Blade stated as a loud laugh suddenly came from Talim as he is about to use its sharpness once more.

[Your stats will now increase by 10% and your weapon attacks have 20% increased critical damage.]

[You have undone the Third Demon Blade Seal.]

[Your stats will now increase by 10% and your weapon attacks have 20% basic attack speed.]

[You have undone the Fourth Demon Blade Seal.]

[Your stats will now increase by 10% and your movement speed is increased by 20%.]

Blade unleased up to the fourth seal and that also meant significant transformations to his body. His entire head is now covered in the demon mask while his body turned blood red. The demon sealed inside of his blade has been transformed into a Blood Demon after all. They are different from the Daemos that can control time, space, and force.

“Kill!” Blade stated as his demon blade also changed to a longer and more lethal weapon.

As soon as Blade entered his focused mode, the entire area felt like time slowed up for him. With one draw from his katana, a powerful and sharp force came out. He then proceeded to sheath back his katana because his attack has finished in that moment. Nuba did not even notice that Blade attacked her as an explosion of cuts suddenly happened directly on her body.

“KUWAARRGHH!” Nuba exclaimed as she did not see the movement used by Blade and she was already slashed ten times. Nuba could not believe that a mortal was able to cut her up as her body exploded into ten different pieces.

Nuba’s body exploded into ten pieces, but Blade did not stop as she had reinforcements incoming. Blade could feel the distinct aura of ten different beings that are at least the strength of Ascendant Immortal. He is also at that level with his transformation, but he cannot be in a transformed state for too long. It takes a lot of physical stress on his body when he transforms into a Blood Demon. Talim might be cooperative because Blade was able to beat it up in his mindscape, but he cannot fully trust it yet.

“Tch! She is already reforming her body. I must find a way out of this predicament.” Blade thought as he immediately prepared a wide swinging stance.

“Blood Demon Blade Style: Judgement Cutter!” Blade stated as his body used up a great deal of mana and converted it into Blood Demon Energy that he used to activate his skill.

Blade’s surrounding fell silent once again as he drew his sword. Nuba reformed her body again and planned to burn everything around her when she felt the immense energy unleased by Blade. A powerful torrent of sword energy suddenly swept across her that passed through towards her allies. The body that she just reformed was once again cut into pieces by Blade. When she reformed her body, the Blood Demon Swordsman was already gone.
