My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!

Chapter 870 - 871: Hmm... My Meat

After the meal, Elias Hale offered to drive them back. Without any meat, Melody Thorne had a small glass of red wine.

Outside the Quinn family home.

Jared Quinn returned from the company, and not seeing Melody Thorne and Timmy, he was about to go out to look for them when Elias Hale brought them back. Timmy and Melody Thorne looked satisfied.

"Young Master Jared," Elias Hale greeted as he got out of the car.

"Where did you go?"

"Uncle Elias took us for a meal," Timmy spoke first, holding a toy in his arms.

"Don’t misunderstand, it was purely just a meal," Elias Hale said as he got back into the car. "I won’t disturb you any longer, I’ll be off now."

"Goodbye, Uncle Elias, drive safely,"

"Okay."

Jared Quinn reached over and pinched Timmy’s little ear, "You call him ’Uncle Elias’ so affectionately, huh?"

"Dad, dad, be gentle, be gentle. If I call him brother, wouldn’t that be rude?" Timmy hissed, sticking out his tongue.

"Go upstairs and go to sleep," Jared Quinn let go of Timmy’s ear.

"Okay, going right away, right away."

Timmy dashed off.

Melody Thorne still stood there, inexplicably feeling that the recent scene was very vivid, with some images flashing by.

Jared Quinn got angry, Timmy ran off, and she remained frozen in place.

Seeing Jared Quinn getting closer, Melody Thorne suddenly covered her stomach.

"Stomachache?" Jared Quinn didn’t buy it.

"No, no, I’m hungry."

"Hmm?"

"Elias Hale was so unkind. He treated Timmy and me to dinner, but he only served us vegetarian dishes. Not a single bite of meat, so... I’m not full," Melody Thorne complained with a pitiful tone, her black pupils wet and swirling.

She wanted to eat some meat!

Jared Quinn took her by the wrist and led her inside, letting her sit and wait, while he went into the kitchen. A layer of bright expression appeared in Melody Thorne’s eyes, thinking only of the crystal shrimp that Jared Quinn made, eagerly anticipating the delicious crystal shrimp.

In just ten minutes, Jared Quinn came out of the kitchen with a plate and a bowl.

"Is it crystal shrimp?" Melody Thorne’s eyes lit up.

The bowl and plate were placed on the table: a bowl of white porridge and a plate of greens.

"Uh... Where’s my meat?"

She wanted to eat meat! She didn’t want to eat vegetarian.

Just the other day, there was minced meat.

"Eating meat isn’t good for the blood clots in your brain," Jared Quinn placed the items on the table. "Be good, eat these. Once the clots are gone, you can have meat."

He deliberately emphasized the word "meat"!

Melody Thorne huffed, sulking, "I don’t want it. I don’t want to drink plain porridge."

Jared Quinn squinted, "You don’t have to drink it... Or perhaps tonight we should try those things you hid under the bed?"

Melody Thorne, "No!"

"You gonna drink?"

"I’ll drink, I’ll drink, how could I not drink? White porridge is my favorite!"

After a bowl of white porridge, Melody Thorne was genuinely full, lying motionless on the large sofa in the living room, clutching her stomach, feeling really stuffed.

Jared Quinn sat beside her, handling the company files that Nina King had someone deliver.

A pair of white slender feet on his thigh kept moving.

Melody Thorne wondered whether Jared Quinn would agree to let her learn medicine with Elias Hale.

Considering how spoiling he was towards her, he probably would, right?

Suddenly, her feet stopped moving; something was in the way.

Melody Thorne, lost in thought about it, didn’t notice. She only knew something was in her way, so she nudged it twice with the sole of her foot, trying to move it aside.
