Chapter 132: Murong Feifei

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Murong Feifei

The highway was smooth and winding, coiling like a long serpent through the towering mountain ranges.

It was still early morning, and a hint of chill was in the air.

The wind howled past the windows. After about an hour in his Porsche 911, Ye Xing finally reached Fu City.

Fu City was the capital of Fujian Province. As a coastal metropolis, it was quite large. Skyscrapers rose from the ground, banyan trees were a common sight along the roads, and the bustling traffic of people and cars gave it a prosperous air.

’It’s almost eight, so I have a little over an hour left. Hmm, that should be enough time. I’ll head to Gushan first to see Xiao Erhei. I haven’t seen the little guy in two days. I really miss him.’ With that thought, Ye Xing changed course and drove toward Gushan.

Gushan was a famous scenic spot in Fu City.

The mountain was home to countless historical sites and enchanting forests and ravines. The Gushan scenic area centered around the ancient Yongquan Temple, with dozens of attractions scattered in every direction—caves, peaks, and terraces. These natural landscapes, formed over millennia from weathered granite, took on fantastical shapes. The mountain also boasted numerous ancient cliff carvings from various dynasties.

The mountain was crowded with tourists. Ancient stone-paved paths wound their way to the summit. Every weekend, many office workers came here to hike, getting some exercise while enjoying the beautiful scenery and relieving stress.

Today was not a weekend, yet Gushan was packed to capacity.

The famous director Zhang Yilin, along with numerous popular actors and stars, was shooting a movie on Gushan. This news had caused a sensation throughout Fu City, and countless fans flocked to the site to watch.

Ye Xing parked his car in the lot at the foot of Gushan and started running toward the summit.

Many people were also on the stone-paved mountain path, heading for the summit. They walked in twos and threes, chatting as they ascended.

"Mom, look! That man is running so fast!"

"That young man has great stamina!"

"It’s great to be young!"

Because he was in a hurry, Ye Xing climbed at a rapid pace. Weaving through the dense crowd, he reached the Gushan summit in just over ten minutes. This was with him deliberately holding back, not daring to run too fast and without using any True Qi. Otherwise, he would have made it in minutes. An ordinary person would have been left gasping for air, but for Ye Xing, with his Martial Arts Third Realm cultivation, it was a walk in the park. He hadn’t even broken a sweat.

Temporary structures like a film set, and makeup and dressing rooms for the actors had already been set up on the Gushan summit.

Just then, filming for a scene wrapped up. Xiao Erhei was lounging leisurely on a deck chair, one leg crossed over the other, giving a lazy, sidelong glance. A crowd of actors stood nearby, watching him.

WOOF WOOF!

Xiao Erhei’s nose suddenly twitched. His eyes lit up, and he sprang from the chair, barking excitedly as he dashed forward.

Ye Xing had just arrived at the film set when he saw Xiao Erhei charging toward him.

"WOOF WOOF!" "WOOF WOOF!"

Overjoyed, Xiao Erhei circled Ye Xing, his fluffy tail wagging nonstop. He kept nudging his head against Ye Xing’s heels affectionately.

SKREE SKREE!

Just then, a sharp cry pierced the air. The Little Purple Eagle glared at Xiao Erhei, its little eyes full of dissatisfaction. It suddenly flapped its wings and flew from Ye Xing’s shoulder, landing with its tiny talons planted right on Erhei’s head.

"WOOF!" "WOOF WOOF WOOF!"

Erhei was instantly furious. His eyes flashed with anger as he lifted a paw and swiped at his own head.

SMACK! He missed the eagle completely, not even grabbing a single feather, and the self-inflicted blow made his own eyes well up with tears.

"SKREE SKREE!" "SKREE SKREE!"

The Little Purple Eagle chirped with glee. Flapping its small, pale-purple wings, it landed on Erhei’s head once more, its tiny talons standing proudly on his crown.

"Little Zhi, come back! Stop bullying Erhei!" Ye Xing ordered in a low voice.

’Looks like these two little guys are competing for my affection,’ Ye Xing thought. ’Erhei is more obedient and well-behaved, while Little Zhi is more lively and mischievous.’

"Ye Xing, you’re finally here!"

Just then, Director Zhang walked over with a smile.

"Yeah, I was in the area, so I thought I’d stop by and see this little guy," Ye Xing said with a smile. "He hasn’t been causing you any trouble, has he?"

"Of course not! I couldn’t be happier. Why don’t you stay for lunch?" Director Zhang invited.

"I can’t. I have a flight to catch. I need to get to Fu City Changle Airport, so I’m in a hurry. I just came to see this little guy, but I have to go now," Ye Xing said apologetically.

"Huh? You’re in that much of a hurry? You just got here and you’re already leaving?" Director Zhang was speechless. "Well, alright then. Come visit again next time!"

"Yeah, I will after I’m done with my business," Ye Xing said to Director Zhang. He then patted Erhei’s little head. "Erhei, you be good and film your scenes, you hear? I’ll come see you again in a couple of days."

With that, Ye Xing turned and walked back down the mountain.

"WOOF WOOF!" Xiao Erhei barked reluctantly, watching Ye Xing’s departing figure.

At that moment, the door to a dressing room opened, and a slender girl emerged. She wore light-blue denim shorts that revealed her fair, shapely legs, paired with a white blouse. Though the blouse was somewhat loose, it failed to conceal her exquisite, curvaceous figure. She exuded a youthful aura, perfectly complemented by her stunningly beautiful face.

The moment she appeared, waves of gasps, screams, and shouts erupted from the crowd of fans watching in the distance.

"Murong Feifei!" "Murong Feifei!"

"Feifei!" "Feifei!"

The fans were very enthusiastic, their cheers rising and falling in waves. The crowd of onlookers was huge, but there were also many security guards and bodyguards on site maintaining order.

In this movie, "Divine Dog Xiao Erhei," Murong Feifei was playing the role of Xiao Erhei’s owner.

"Miss Murong, are you ready? Shall we start filming the next scene now?" Director Zhang asked.

"Yes, I’m ready." Murong Feifei nodded. Then, her gaze shifted. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a figure heading down the mountain.

’Huh? That’s strange... Who is that? Why does his back look so familiar? I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere before.’ Murong Feifei’s eyes filled with confusion, and she froze for a moment.

"Miss Murong? Miss Murong, is something wrong?" Director Zhang couldn’t help but call out.

"Oh, it’s nothing!" Murong Feifei snapped back to reality. She noticed that Xiao Erhei was also staring at the figure down the mountain, which only deepened her confusion. "Director Zhang, who is that? Why is Erhei staring at him too?"

"Oh, you mean Ye Xing? Haha, he’s Xiao Erhei’s actual owner. He’s also the supplier for Immortal Flavor Old Fish—a very impressive young entrepreneur," Director Zhang said with a laugh. "I wanted to have him stay for lunch so you could meet him, but he had a flight to catch. Maybe another time!"
