Marvel: The Sole Player

For the ten-million-dollar prize, Darian is grinding through a massive virtual game called “Marvel World.”

What he doesn’t realize is that from the moment the game began, he was already transported into the real Marvel Universe; becoming its only player.

From cutting deals with Tony Stark to outsmarting Hydra agents and walking straight into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s crosshairs, Darian treats every encounter like a quest to be cleared and every hero like an NPC with loot to drop. To everyone else, he’s an unpredictable anomaly, but to himself, just a gamer following the mechanics.

Nick Fury: Darian is an excellent agent, but he's a bit of a snob. Every time a mission is issued, he skips over it.

Tony Stark: I can't believe it! The other day, Darian and I teamed up, and I came back with only my underwear left.

Banner: I'm the exact opposite. My only underwear was stolen, and in a rage, I transformed into the Hulk, making headlines that evening.

Thor: Darian claims he's reached 1000 Justice Points, then he raised my Mjölnir Hammer and ran off...

When the world questions his methods, Darian just shrugs and says,
