"Yes," Ma Yue replied, once again clasping his hands in assent.

After Ma Yue departed, Cheng Zongyang did not linger at home either, instead preparing to leave Zi’an County to handle some business.

’Since the traffic in and out of the Cheng Mansion has attracted some attention, I’ll need to change locations.’

’For this new place, my only option is to try the mountains.’

"Don’t worry. How about a chat over there?" Cheng Zongyang gestured toward a tea stall near the city wall.

As a result, the man was about to turn and leave, but in the next moment, Cheng Zongyang grabbed his shoulder. "It’s true that we can’t cause trouble inside the County Town," he said. "You want to know who sent me?" The young man was well aware of Cheng Zongyang’s intentions for stopping him.

But the South District wasn’t home to just these two gangs; there were five others, for a total of seven gangs spread throughout the area.

These gangs, in turn, had connections to the Cultivation Immortality Gang Influence and Cultivation Immortality Clan Influence in the North and East Districts.

Cheng Zongyang didn’t know if he was being targeted because of the previous incident with the Foundation Establishment Pill, or because of the recent influx of people at the Cheng Mansion.

But regardless of the reason, he didn’t want to be bothered. As for whether Su Wuwei and the others might be captured and interrogated for related secrets, he was not concerned.

’They’ve signed the Oath Contract. They couldn’t talk even if they wanted to. Speaking would only be a path to death.’

Cheng Zongyang looked at the young man and said calmly, "Go back and tell your Gang Leader that it’s best if we stay out of each other’s way. If you track me again, I don’t mind eliminating your gang’s leadership first. As for whether I have the nerve to do it, you’re welcome to try me."

With that, he allowed the man to leave.

This was Zi’an County, and he still wanted to conduct business in the County Town, so naturally, he wouldn’t break the rules of the Immortal Sect. But that didn’t mean he would just endure it if they genuinely came after him.
