Chapter 537: Chapter 287: "Boatman" of the Two Places

Half an hour passed in the blink of an eye.

Cheng Zongyang had only left to prepare the Teleportation Array. He knew full well that, having come this far, the trio wouldn’t back out now.

And, just as he expected.

When he returned, he saw Yu Wenlin and the other two chatting with Zhou Zhendong.

They showed no signs of guilt or embarrassment over their earlier suspicions when they saw Cheng Zongyang return.

Such wariness was only natural.

The trio had checked on Zhou Zhendong and confirmed that there were indeed no issues. After a brief discussion, Shentu Li volunteered to take a small sip. He promptly fell into a deep sleep, but having drunk less, he woke up after about fifteen minutes.

While he was unconscious, he couldn’t be roused, no matter how much Yu Wenlin and Ji Lin tried to wake him.

They were relieved only after seeing that Shentu Li was unharmed.

Seeing the three of them chatting happily with Zhou Zhendong, Cheng Zongyang smiled and asked, "Well?"

"We’re in," Yu Wenlin said with a nod. "I hope you’re a man of your word, Young Master Cheng."

Cheng Zongyang nodded slightly, then led the three of them to another secret room in the basement.

This one was used exclusively for teleportation.

"Drink up, you three," Cheng Zongyang said calmly, his eyes on the water bottle in Yu Wenlin’s hand.

Yu Wenlin remained impressively cautious; he had been holding onto the water bottle that Zhou Zhendong and Shentu Li drank from the entire time, worried it might be swapped out.

Cheng Zongyang, for his part, didn’t care in the slightest.

The three men were rather shocked when they saw the faintly glowing array in the basement and learned from Cheng Zongyang that they would be traveling to the Cultivation Immortality Realm via a Teleportation Array.

After all, this was their first time experiencing something like this.

Of course, once they passed out, they wouldn’t experience any of it.

At Cheng Zongyang’s word, Yu Wenlin and the other two sat on the floor and each quickly took a drink.

Then, as all three passed out, Cheng Zongyang collected them one by one into the Wilderness World, activated the Teleportation Array, and began sending them through, one after another.

The journey went off without a hitch. The series of Teleportation Arrays worked flawlessly, and the travel was incredibly fast. He breathed a sigh of relief when, after hopping from one array to the next, he finally arrived at the last one on Reef Island.

He looked at his watch and found that only about ten minutes had passed.

’I’ve really become a ferryman between two worlds.’

Finally, he took out the Array Token and inserted it into the last array leading to the Cultivation Immortality Realm. His body vanished in a flash.

The next moment, he reappeared inside the hidden compartment of the study in his Zi’an County residence, back in the Ice and Fire Cultivation Immortality Realm.

He emerged from the secret room and inspected the house. Everything was just as he had left it, with no sign that the protective arrays had been triggered.

Cheng Zongyang gave a slight nod. ’The security in Zi’an County is quite good.’

He went to one of the rooms that had been converted into a dormitory, released Yu Wenlin and the other two, and waited for them to awaken.

They hadn’t drunk much, so they woke up in less than half an hour.

When the three of them awoke on the floor, they discovered their surroundings had completely changed.

Ji Lin hastily checked himself over and breathed a sigh of relief when he found nothing was wrong.

Yu Wenlin got up, glanced around the room, and opened the door. The first thing he noticed upon stepping out was how incredibly fresh the air was. With each breath, he could feel a strange new essence entering his body, making him feel wonderfully refreshed.

Shentu Li and Ji Lin followed him outside.

The three men exchanged a glance before taking in their surroundings.

Clearly, they were no longer in Cheng Zongyang’s mansion. From their position on the second-floor corridor, they could see a partial view of the outdoors.

A river flowed to the left of the house, confirming they were no longer in Jade Peak County. Their view to the front and right was blocked by other buildings, obscuring everything else.

Just then, out of the corners of their eyes, they spotted a man drinking tea and reading in a pavilion below, near the left wall.

It was none other than Cheng Zongyang.

Seeing this, the three of them immediately jumped down.

The next moment, however, they heard Cheng Zongyang’s exasperated voice drift up to them. "There’s a perfectly good staircase, but you had to jump. If you dare pull a stunt like that out in the open, you’ll be risking your lives."

His tone was nonchalant, devoid of any real anger.

The three men exchanged glances, their demeanor softening considerably. They approached the pavilion where Cheng Zongyang sat and asked courteously, "This place... could it be...?"

They still found it hard to believe, as if they were in a dream.

’Did we really make it to the Cultivation Immortality Realm just like that?’

Cheng Zongyang nodded slightly. "That’s right, this is the Ice and Fire Cultivation Immortality Realm. That door leads out to the South District of Zi’an County. This house is mine.

"Of course, as a courtesy, I’m giving you three days. Use this time to get your bearings, look around, and then make your decision.

"You’ve all read the pamphlet, so you should know the rules. Watch what you say. That’s the most important factor in being able to live here peacefully.

"Otherwise, if they find out where you’re from, you’ll be in for a world of trouble.
