Chapter 132 Why is Daisy with him?
Chapter 132: Chapter 132 Why is Daisy with him?
After finishing dinner, Alessio and Daisy stepped out of their private dining room together.
The corridor outside was quiet, illuminated by warm golden lights that reflected softly against the glassy floor. The air was filled with the faint scent of flowers from the garden and the aroma of their meal.
Daisy was still smiling faintly, holding the small shopping bag containing her leftover dessert while Alessio walked beside her at an unhurried pace. The strawberry cheesecake was safely tucked away, and she had been looking forward to enjoying it later.
Neither of them noticed that the private room directly opposite theirs opened at the very same moment.
A woman’s bright laughter echoed through the corridor.
"Hahaha... Ricky, you’re impossible."
The familiar voice froze Daisy where she stood.
Her smile disappeared.
Slowly, she lifted her head. Her dark eyes widened.
Jessica stepped out first, wearing a glamorous black dress that hugged her figure elegantly. Her red lips curved into a satisfied smile as she casually held Cedric’s arm. Her red hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her heels clicked against the floor with confidence.
Cedric followed beside her.
He had been looking at Jessica, his expression relaxed and amused. His hand rested lightly on her arm, and he was about to say something else when his eyes landed on Daisy.
He stopped walking.
"...Daisy?"
His pupils shrank. The amusement on his face vanished, replaced by a sharp and questioning gaze.
His gaze slowly shifted toward the man standing beside her.
Tall. Broad-shouldered. Well over six feet. Even dressed casually, the man’s commanding presence couldn’t be hidden. His sharp features, calm green eyes and effortless confidence gave him an overwhelming aura.
Cedric recognized him instantly.
Alessio Ricci.
His jaw tightened. His body stiffened. A hot, unfamiliar rush of heat flooded his chest.
Why... Why is Daisy with him?
His blood boiled. His heart filled with an emotion he hadn’t expected. He felt hot, irrational, violent jealousy.
Jessica followed Cedric’s gaze. She frowned slightly.
That man... He looked strangely familiar. And not to mention he was unbelievably handsome. His sharp jaw, broad shoulders and those cold green eyes that seemed to see right through everything.
Her smile faltered for a fraction of a second.
Seriously...? If Daisy wanted another man, how did she end up with someone like him?
Her nails dug into her palm.
Cedric suddenly took a step forward.
"DAISY!"
His voice thundered through the corridor.
Several diners turned around immediately, their conversations interrupted by the sudden outburst.
Daisy flinched violently. Her shoulders instinctively shrank, and she took a small step back.
"What the hell are you doing here? And with him?"
She hurriedly reached for her phone. Her fingers trembled.
Before she could even write, Alessio stepped forward. Just one step. Enough to place himself naturally between Daisy and Cedric.
His expression remained calm. His voice, however, turned icy cold.
"Watch your tone."
Cedric’s eyes darkened. "...Move."
"No."
Cedric’s voice became rougher with every word. "That’s my wife. What the hell are you doing with my wife?"
Alessio met his gaze without the slightest fear. Then, a faint smirk appeared on his lips.
"What am I doing?" He glanced meaningfully toward Jessica. "The same thing you’re doing with the woman beside you."
Silence.
Jessica’s smile disappeared. Her lips pressed into a thin line.
Cedric’s face darkened instantly. "What did you just say?"
"You heard me."
"You—" Cedric looked around Alessio toward Daisy. "Daisy! What nonsense is he talking about?"
Daisy quickly shook her head. Her hands moved hurriedly.
We only had dinner. He helped me shop. That’s all.
Cedric never even looked. He strode toward Alessio instead.
"Stay away from my wife."
Alessio didn’t move. "Or what?"
The corridor seemed to freeze. Neither man blinked. Neither looked away. The tension became suffocating.
Cedric suddenly grabbed Alessio by the front of his shirt. "You think just because you’re Alessio Ricci, you can touch what’s mine?"
Alessio slowly lowered his eyes to Cedric’s hand. Then back to Cedric.
"You should let go."
Cedric laughed coldly. "Make me."
Daisy’s breathing became uneven. She hurried between them, shaking her head desperately.
Please stop... Please...
Her frightened eyes landed on Alessio.
He saw them. Seeing the panic and tears gathering in those beautiful, expressive eyes. With a quiet sigh, he unclenched his fists. "...Fine."
He slowly removed Cedric’s hand from his shirt. "I’m not interested in fighting."
Cedric gave a mocking laugh. "Knew it. Weak."
The word had barely left his mouth—
Bang.
Alessio’s fist crashed into Cedric’s jaw with terrifying precision.
Cedric staggered backward several steps, his hand flying to his face.
The entire corridor erupted into screams. A woman shrieked. Several diners jumped to their feet. Tables scraped against the floor.
Jessica gasped, her hands flying to her mouth.
Several waiters rushed forward before immediately backing away. No one dared interfere.
Cedric wiped the blood from the corner of his lip. Then smiled. "So that’s how it is."
The next second, he charged.
The two men collided violently.
Neither held back.
Cedric fought with pure anger. His punches were wild, driven by jealousy and rage. He threw everything he had, his movements fueled by an anger he didn’t fully understand.
Alessio fought with frightening efficiency. Every movement was controlled and precise. He dodged, countered, and struck with the calmness of someone who had done this many times before.
Cedric landed a hit on Alessio’s shoulder. Alessio responded with a sharp blow to Cedric’s ribs.
Jessica watched with widened eyes.
He’s... experienced...
This wasn’t an ordinary man. This was someone who had been in countless fights. Someone who knew exactly where to strike.
"Daisy!" Jessica called, but Daisy didn’t hear her.
She looked back and forth helplessly, her eyes overflowing with tears. She rushed toward them, desperately trying to separate them.
Stop...! Please stop...!
She reached for Cedric’s arm.
"Cedric..."
Still blinded by rage, he shoved her aside without even looking.
"DON’T TOUCH ME!"
Daisy lost her balance. Her body struck the floor. A soft cry escaped her lips.
"...Mm..."
Everything stopped.
Alessio turned instantly.
"Daisy!"
Without a second thought, he abandoned the fight and hurried to her side. He knelt immediately.
"Did you hit your head?"
His voice had lost every trace of coldness. Only concern remained.
He gently helped her sit up, supporting her carefully by the arm.
"Are you hurt?"
Daisy shook her head through tears. She wasn’t even thinking about herself. She just wanted them to stop fighting.
