Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4697: Moirai III

Chapter 4697: Moirai III

A Fragment of THE Moirai Threads.

A string so vibrant and powerful that he felt like it weighed an entire Depth of Absolute Sovereignty in his hand.

It represented many things as truth be told, even though he did not have any doubt, he was still unfathomably cautious of everything that was to come.

He had a sense of expectation and wonder for the mysteries out there, but he was not looking forward to the struggles and the hardship that he would have to go through to bypass them.

This object was an unfathomable saving grace as it was also born as a product of what his existence deemed would be the most ideal loot for him to have.

If it could truly react with THE Existential Paradox Loop...

"Utilize the Fragment of THE Moirai Threads."

HUUM!

If he had the cheat to peer into the future, to see what would be happening, why not use it right away?

The moment that he uttered such words, the golden thread shot out from his hand and pierced into his chest like a sharp blade. His eyes frowned in pain as the golden thread proceeded to wrap around and constrict his heart with a grip that felt like destiny itself squeezing his existence.

It was not a pleasant feeling at all.

But moments later, a unique cloud of golden brilliance began to surround him, and his eyes became glazed gold as visions that had not yet come to pass began to crystallize before his perception.

Usage of the Fragment of THE Moirai Threads initiated.

A Partial Simulation of THE Existential Paradox Loop is beginning.

Note: This is a Partial Simulation only.

Capability: Fragmentary glimpses of potential futures based on current trajectory.

Limitation: Information is probabilistic, not absolute. Details may be obscured or inaccurate.

Estimation: 9 Fragments may allow for a Full Simulation until potential collapse or death.

Current Fragments: 1/9

Warning: Viewing potential futures does not guarantee they will occur.

Simulation beginning...

...!

Noah viewed these prompts calmly as moments later, he began to feel waves of information flowing through him. His eyes flickered gold, and scenes of potential futures he had not yet come across began playing before him.

Timeline Analysis Beginning...

Within minutes of the Second Phase of THE Fallout ending, you set off into the Wastes of THE Fallout after having laid to rest a Gulper Eel.

You break down its Weavings and memories as part of what it used to be and what it stood for are written in the pages of your Grimoire of Infinite Lexicons.

The Phonemes of Advantage and Fortune naturally trigger and focus on retrieving certain memories that pulse with glory and benefit for you.

From its memories, you learn of a terrifying corrupted region this entity had run away from while THE Fallout was continuing.

A domain that had been locked in Ginnungagap, which was within THE Belly of Existence.

After THE Belly was torn open, this domain and many other wonders spilled out and proceeded to face corruption.

You grow very interested as the memories leave behind a name...

THE Corrupted Vault of Ginnungagap.

You remember the words of Ul’Moreth about THE Vaults of Ginnungagap and the dangers and wonders they held.

After you weigh the risks, you try to backtrack the path of the Gulper Eel to find this corrupted domain.

You begin heading out deeper into the Wastes of THE Fallout cautiously, still feeling the faint connection to THE Infiniverse.

You affirm you can return to it if need be, the connection with The First Tongue allowing this to be a possibility, especially due to the 9 newly forged Core Phonemes.

You wonder if it would be possible to bypass the restrictions of the Wastes of THE Fallout to sense or reach out to Lumivara and Ul’Moreth.

As you move carefully through The Wastes while noting the specific path you take, you come across an abomination. Or really, the Abomination was drawn to your pure weavings of Existence.

A creature not originating from THE Belly of Existence or THE Loom.

Something from a domain existing between the gaps of Existence that was torn open due to THE Fallout.

You come across your first Scorched.

You draw upon The First Tongue to define and classify this entity:

THE SCORCHED

Origin: Entities who survived direct exposure to The Fallout’s flames without any protection.

Mutation: Existential Combustion

The Scorched are entities whose very existence has been permanently set ablaze by The Fallout. They burn continuously with the multicolored flames of existential annihilation, and rather than being consumed, they have learned to fuel themselves with the destruction.

Characteristics:

- Bodies wreathed in perpetual flames of The Fallout

- Can project and weaponize Fallout energy

- Immune to further Fallout damage

- Feed on destruction and decay

- Cannot heal naturally; must consume the existence of others to regenerate

- Gradually lose their original personality and memories

- Eventually become more flame than entity

Hierarchy(Currently encountered):

- Cinders: Newly Scorched, still fighting to maintain identity

Curse Variation:

The Scorched bear the full Existential Ceiling curse but have developed a workaround. By consuming the existence of others, they can temporarily boost their advancement rate. This makes them predatory but also prevents them from ever achieving stable, lasting power.

...!

The information Noah was reading in the form of prompts was grand, but the images he saw were even grander!

His eyes blazed gold as even though this was only a possibility, he saw it.

THE Scorched entity appeared in his mind’s eye with terrifying clarity.

It was a serpentine creature of impossible grace and horrifying beauty, its body long and sinuous like some ancient leviathan adapted for land. Fins that should have belonged to an aquatic being fanned out along its spine and tail, but instead of membrane and scale, they were composed entirely of crystallized Fallout flames that shifted through colors.

Its fur, or what might have once been fur, had become living fire that flowed across its form like water made of destruction. Multicolored flames of violet and crimson and gold and colors that had no name rippled across its serpentine body with each movement, leaving trails of scorched reality in its wake.

The creature’s face was elongated and almost regal, with eyes that burned like twin suns trapped in sockets of ash. Where its mouth opened, one could see that even its teeth were flames given solid form, each fang a concentrated point of existential annihilation.

Most disturbing were the cracks across its existence, the markers of the cursed that glowed not with the usual residual Fallout energy but with active, hungry fire. The cracks were not healing. They were spreading. And from each crack, more flames poured forth.

It moved with a dancer’s grace despite its size, each step leaving behind footprints of burning reality that took moments to repair themselves. Bubbles of superheated existence rose from its form like foam from turbulent waters, each one a tiny pocket of destruction waiting to pop!

Oh!

Even though he was only viewing scenes of it in his mind, Noah could see the ferocity of THE Scorched as its Depth burned with heavy Intermediate immensity.

This was not a creature that could be reasoned with.

This was not a creature that remembered what it once was!

This was flame given purpose, and that purpose was consumption!

The golden haze around Noah’s vision flickered as the Partial Simulation continued to feed him glimpses of what might come. He saw himself facing this creature in the gray Wastes, saw the clash of blue-gold authority against multicolored annihilation, saw the dance of death that would unfold between them.

And he saw that this was merely the first of many such encounters!
