Chapter 1111: The Final Race (Part 8)
Cooter Ancestor—Walwal Walwal!
With an expression basking in the delight of laziness, he calmly eyed KalTara, and in the next moment, a lightning jaw clamped upon the latter.
KalTara had to hurriedly assume his Boar King form to tank the attack, grunting as the fur covering his legs were charred. His legs felt numb, twitching and struggling to gather strength in them. A second later, the lightning jaw vanished.
“Go there,” Walwal Walwal pointed towards Mahira Tusk and commented, “Annoy her. Best case scenario, your death would be instantaneous. Against me,”
He sighed and shook his head, “It can only be painful.”
“Are you an Empyrean Snapper?” KalTara asked as the charred section on his fur quickly reverted to normal. His eyes glinted as he analysed the other party’s presence while waiting for a response.
“I’m a Cooter Clansman.” Walwal Walwal tilted his head in confusion, “Surely you must’ve heard about my Clan, considering how you’re also a Clansman.”
“It is weird, however.” He continued, stared at the floor in a daze for a few seconds, and then resumed his explanation like nothing had changed, “To think another Clan appeared in such short notice.”
“It seemed impossible in my time, until of course,” He shrugged, “I achieved the impossible.”
“Praises apart,” Walwal Walwal raised an arm defensively, “Don’t fight me if you wish to either win or die peacefully.”
KalTara eyed his opponent, thought for a second and asked, “What happens when I defeat you?”
“You gain a key,” Walwal Walwal said and turned around to stare at the pillar of light far away, “That key gives you unobstructed access to it.”
“Thank you for the explanation.” KalTara activated a Reactive Jade Human Avatar form using his Boar King body, “Now, I’ll be taking hold of your key.”
“Haah…!” Walwal Walwal groaned exhaustedly in response, feeling everything was a draining chore. However, he took on a battle stance while eyeing the floor, ’Been a while since I had to fight with all my strength, huh?’
“The only time in my life where I had to go all out was…” He uttered slowly as his body vanished.
As KalTara rushed towards Walwal Walwal, the surroundings brightened. And cast upon his face brightly, like the rising sun, was a bluish-white light, producing crackling sounds of thunder. In a matter of seconds, a long, dark shadow of KalTara was cast behind him, stretching for a few kilometres.
Primary Nature—Lightning Plasma Dominance!
Walwal Walwal didn’t start with this Nature from the get go. When he was a Cooter Tribesman, he had a different Primary Nature. However, when he succeeded in becoming a Cooter Clansman, he rebuilt his Body Stage power.
Lightning Plasma Dominance was the Nature obtained by Cooter Clan Chiefs thanks to the Influenced Region produced by the Major Treasure of Spirit. It wasn’t supposed to exist before the Major Treasure’s arrival.
Of course, the Cooter Ancestor’s situation was different. Right upon evolution, the first thing he did was kill the Bulging Snapper that had governed over him and his family. Upon his evolution, the Bulging Snapper had evolved into an Empyrean Snapper.
However, right at that time, Walwal Walwal defeated the Empyrean Snapper and kept it captive in a vegetative state. And then, he camped in its head, using its brain as a Spirit Pool.
Slowly but surely, using Mystic Mist Art, he extracted and refined plasma from the brain that was filled with traces of the Empyrean Snapper’s electrical impulses. Once successfully refined, it created the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool.
And using this Spirit Pool, Walwal Walwal gained the Primary Nature of Lightning Plasma Domination. But that wasn’t all. This method had a greater secret, much like the Mammoth Ancestor’s Secondary Nature of Weaponisation.
When Walwal Walwal continued to use the Empyrean Snapper’s brain to refine his Spirit Pool using Mystic Mist Art, his body was steadily influenced to gain the Buoyant Disease. And over time, this Buoyant Disease only grew progressively worse, to the extent Walwal Walwal was barely able to remain in his human form for a few seconds at most, before he was forced to assume his Spirit Weapon Transformation.
For the majority of his life, Walwal Walwal spent cooped up in the Empyrean Snapper’s brain. The sheer presence oozing from the latter prevented most Pranic Beasts from drawing close. And when they did, he killed them.
He would hunt Pranic Beasts, feed them to the Empyrean Snapper, and then camp in its regenerating brain to damage it extensively while extracting fluids from it to refine his Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool.
He spent over six centuries repeating the same action in extremity, until the Empyrean Snapper’s influence had seeped sufficiently in his body, especially the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool forming his build.
When his Buoyant Disease reached its zenith and the Empyrean Snapper’s influence in him too reached its zenith, his Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool gained the means to change, wherein it was capable of stockpiling upon itself using psychokinesis and liquify into a structure mirroring the original.
Secondary Nature—Spirit Snapper!
Upon assuming his Spirit Weapon Transformation, Walwal Walwal could build a form out of his Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool to resemble an Empyrean Snapper. This extended his Spirit Weapon range to exactly mirror the Empyrean Snapper.
The back of an Empyrean Snapper spanned an area of sixteen square kilometres. It alone surpassed the Spirit Weapon range of 10-Life Stage Free Humans. However, the greatest advantage came from his singular reach, which was the neck.
The neck of an Empyrean Snapper stretched for ten kilometres on average. This meant Walwal Walwal had an effective reach of ten kilometres in the direction he was facing. This allowed him to face a Brimgan Royal and not lose out in terms of range much.
Progressing through the Life Stage wouldn’t increase his Spirit Weapon range, since his Spirit Weapon range exactly mirror the body structure of an Empyrean Snapper. However, the strength of psychokinesis forming the liquid structure increased with the Life Stage stack.
Living in this extremity was dangerous, as Walwal Walwal spent most of his life within the head of the Empyrean Snapper. The Empyrean Snapper had been used as a furnace until its life’s end.
Even though Walwal Walwal gained tremendous power from his Secondary Nature, he knew it would only self-destruct the Cooter Clan’s potential. And hence, just like the Mammoth Ancestor, he too hid all details related to his Secondary Nature.
Following that, he spent a few decades raiding the nearby Free Human Kingdoms until they were fully razed into ruins. Upon gathering them at a single place, Walwal Walwal stressed the Free Humans until their Spirit Containers shattered and they fell to the Spirit Stage.
He used them to spawn more Cooter Clansmen. And thanks to the potency of his Buoyant Disease, a few Empyrean Snappers were born.
Among his remaining children, Walwal Walwal picked the most talented Cooter Clansmen to follow his footsteps in secret, to cultivate in the brain of an Empyrean Snapper. He used all his resources upon them.
During the Mudropper Invasion, many existing Kingdoms, Empires, and Pranic Beast colonies fell to ruin. Walwal Walwal raided them all, gathered their stored resources, and poured them all into his children, especially using the Elixirs to quickly raise their cultivation.
Thanks to their talents, most of them reached the 10-Life Stage on time and attempted to enter the Transcendence State. However, thanks to their unstable foundation, they were vaporised by the Bolt of Transcendence.
Walwal Walwal kept at it until one of his children succeeded partially, creating the Major Treasure of Spirit.
Once that succeeded, he killed the rest of the children raised in secret and focused on nurturing the Cooter Clan normally.
Gradually, the Major Treasure of Spirit began to form the Influenced Region of Teary Eyed Snapper. And dripping out of it was the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool.
Walwal Walwal appointed one of his children as the Cooter Clan Chief, taught the latter on how to use the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool, and left the Cooter Clan to enter the Transcendence Stage.
The Cooter Clan had no idea about how the Major Treasure of Spirit was created. They merely followed his teachings and continued to develop organically while living upon the Empyrean Snappers.
Over time, the population of the Empyrean Snappers increased steadily.
The Cooter Ancestor merely slept upon becoming a Transcendent. From time to time, a Cooter Clansman would successfully reach the Transcendence Stage and join his faction. He gave them orders and let them do their thing while he just…slept in peace.
“To be lazy is a fortune.” Walwal Walwal uttered as a lightning jaw extended out of his body and spontaneously clamped upon KalTara, “And in Sumatra, only the fittest can dare live lazily.”
“What about you?” Walwal Walwal asked upon sling shotting KalTara straight into one of the portals. And then, his Empyrean Snapper form’s lightning neck swept past a sea of creatures and charred them all without exception.
“Oh…” Walwal Walwal was surprised to see KalTara jump into the Transcendent Plane through the portal once again. All the injuries on his body began to rapidly heal, as his Reactive Jade form began to change into a form that could counter his Lightning Plasma.
An aurora began to form above KalTara as he prepared to fight for a second round against Walwal Walwal.
“You’re tough,” Walwal uttered and cranked up his strength, “That attack typically destroyed all my enemies…”
Suddenly, his senses pricked as a golden flash moved under his Empyrean Snapper form and positioned itself directly underneath his Spirit Weapon form. In his last moment, Walwal Walwal’s eyes made eye contact with the bloody Brully that had taken position underneath him.
There was a subtle glint from the Brully, causing Walwal Walwal to shudder as his Prana detection means went haywire, causing spots on his Spirit Weapon form to crack and pop out, “To think Sumatra has developed to such an extent…”
His words were cut short once again as a pillar of light drowned his being.
State of Unity—Eternal Armoury!
