Chapter 1092: Parute Death

Chapter 1092: Parute Death

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater!

Perched deep within the grey sand, it stared at the ongoing battle between the Transcendents. It eyed the four rogue Transcendent Eaters that had appeared and extended its roots.

[Trash! You dare covet someone you’re not even worth gazing upon?]

Carnivorous vines flushed out in large numbers and targeted the four rogue Transcendent Eaters.

[A mere slave to a Continent dares remain boastful?]

Without hesitation, the four rogue Transcendent Eaters retaliated, beginning to push back Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater. The Transcendents from both sides fought endlessly and kept killing each other.

Fruits popped out of the branches of Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater, which it flicked towards Sumatra. The fruits hatched the respective Transcendent inside, who immediately followed orders to face the enemy.

However, facing four Transcendent Eaters at the same time was impossible. Left with no other choice, as its reserve of Transcendents were all revived and engaged in battle, Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater grunted in anger.

[I’ll show you the difference between a Transcendent Eater that’s rogue and one that has served a powerful Continent!]

Immediately in response, billions of fruits appeared on its vines, spontaneously reaching ripeness, having not taken much energy to do so. And then, they all hatched, forming a sizeable army.

[Hah! Cultivators?]

One of the rogue Transcendent Eaters burst into laughter upon seeing the latest batch to be revived weren’t even Transcendents, but merely cultivators.

[That’s your trump card? Hilarious!]

In response, Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater merely smirked as from the army it created, two rows of beings took front stage. One row was large while the other was big.

Exert Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Empyrean Tusk!

Expert Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Empyrean Snapper!

Covering the bodies of both were hordes of Brimgan Royals, alongside the Clansmen of the respective Deity Race.

In the vacuum of space, they couldn’t survive. Thankfully, their Prana healed their bodies and kept them alive. Casually, in the biomes of the Empyrean Tusks appeared a forest of Parute Trees that constantly ripened and spilled Parute Fruits.

These Parute Fruits were digested and generated Prana that funnelled through the bodies of the Empyrean Tusks, giving them basically an endless reserve of Prana.

Expert Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Gold Empyrean Tentacle!

They appeared on the backs of all the Empyrean Snappers. And then, Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater uttered a word.

[Mahira!]

Immediately in response, a Gold Empyrean Tentacle and a Brimgan Royal turned into Nature Weapons and entered the Nature slots of each Empyrean Snapper.

That was enough to instantly make it extremely dangerous. The Empyrean Snappers fell into the grey sand and created their respective terrain to fight in.

Every single Empyrean Snapper that had died to date were given this build, which instantly made them feel at home in the grey sand. Moreover, their Spirit Pools bubbled to the brim, endlessly getting refined.

In the interior of the mountains that grey on their back was a Parute Tree forest, supplying them with an infinite supply of Prana.

In the side of the Empyrean Tusks, the older generations were granted the Nature Weapons of a Rascl and Razor Rat, making it easy for them to charge endlessly and take complete advantage of their massive beings.

The two Deity Races charged into the enemy Transcendents and actually pushed back the Iron Transcendents.

With an infinite supply of Prana, an Empyrean Tusk somersaulted through space and ejected air through its trunk for propulsion before crashing into an Iron Transcendent. And upon making contact, it collapsed its gravity to turn into a miniature sun.

The miniature sun generated a strong pull of gravity to suck in the Iron Transcendent and then burnt it to a crisp with heat.

It was a suicide attack, which worked the best. After all, every Empyrean Tusk could kill an Iron Transcendent.

In terms of the time and resources needed to revive the two sides, Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater was the winner, hardly using much energy to revive a cultivator.

As for the Empyrean Snappers, they disappeared into the grey sand and emerged out with sneak attacks.

The latest batch of Empyrean Tusks that were slaughtered by the Celestial Boar moved with vigour and rapidly switched between human and Pranic Beast forms upon being thrown into the mouths of the Iron Transcendents.

And then, they turned into miniature suns to deal the killing blow.

While the Empyrean Tusks created radiating miniature suns that brightened the battle zone, a feast was happening towards the corners among the Empyrean Tentacle Race.

One after another, the Silver Empyrean Tentacles consumed their Iron and Gold counterpart. And upon reaching Mystic Grade, they assumed a State of Harmony.

Suddenly, they turned into Nature Weapons and flew into the Nature slots of the Empyrean Tusks.

State of Harmony—Infinite Divine Soldier!

The Empyrean Tusks grew insane in less than a tenth of a second. Their bodies morphed into grotesque creatures from the generated influence alone. And it seemed even their Primary Nature was about to change in a matter of seconds.

However, before that happened under the control of Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater, they erected a totem on the body of a Silver Transcendent and then turned into a miniature sun.

The Silver Transcendent was only partially damaged by the attack. However, a second later, the Empyrean Tusk appeared again and turned into another Miniature Sun.

This Empyrean Tusk had over four hundred years left in its lifespan before Brangara killed it. And now, every single day of that lifespan meant a revival. The Empyrean Tusk kept reviving nonstop and turning into miniature suns, all at the expense of its lifespan.

Since the Infinite Divine Soldier’s totem was placed on the Silver Transcendent, the latter couldn’t escape. No matter where it moved, the Empyrean Tusk revived on it, collapsed its gravity, and turned into a miniature sun.

Around eighty years’ worth of lifespan was consumed, which resulted in a Silver Transcendent’s death. This text is hosted at n͟o͟v͟e͟l͟f͟i͟r͟e͟.net

The totem disappeared after that as the Empyrean tusk died. A second later, the same Empyrean Tusk was revived once again, back with the original lifespan it had left during its death on Sumatra.

The Nature Weapon containing Infinite Divine Soldier was equipped onto it as an Empyrean Snapper arrived behind it, wrapped it in a layer of soil, and plunged into the grey sand.

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater’s vines dangled through the void, lashing about on the Transcendents. Suddenly, a hole appeared from one of them as the Empyrean Tusk was ejected at top speeds, right from closeup.

The Silver Transcendent could react easily, but its counters were blocked by Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater. And that, allowed the Empyrean Tusk to reach the Silver Transcendent and place a totem on the latter.

[Shit!]

The Silver Transcendent could only utter in demise as it was spammed with a series of miniature suns.

[Silent, are we?]

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater chortled in disdain towards the four rogue Transcendent Eaters. By endlessly reviving the Empyrean Tusks, it was managing to kill even Silver Transcendents, at a fraction of the revival cost of a Silver Transcendent.

It was fighting four Transcendent Eaters on an equal front and was even…winning by a slight margin.

At that moment, a pillar of light was released from Sumatra Continent, which drew in the attention of every single Transcendent in the node.

They all simultaneously stared at the showcase of the ultimate treasure a Continent could create.

[The key, is here!]

An Iron Transcendent uttered and then swerved its head towards the node. The three Cosmic Beings naturally reacted and started ignoring all the Transcendents attacking them.

They made a beeline towards Sumatra.

[Now!]

The four rogue Transcendent Eaters harnessed all their power to target the Cosmic Beings, causing large body parts of the latter to fall on Sumatra, each contact weakening through the Continent’s defensive barrier.

[Hahaha! If all three Cosmic Beings reach it, even Sumatra is doomed!]

A rogue Transcendent Eater chortled.

[And even if you kill it, their body parts will still fall into the Continent. That is enough to destroy its barrier!]

The third rogue Transcendent Eater mocked Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater next.

[Dirty slave! Witness your master’s demise!]

The rogue Transcendent Eater expected their fourth companion to throw an insult too. However, that didn’t happen. Instead, what appeared were the wails of the fourth rogue Transcendent Eater.

Strangely, having appeared at some point in time, was a furball, his hand merely grabbing space. But in response, the fourth rogue Transcendent Eater…couldn’t move.

“I see, I see…” The furball chuckled in interest, “So many things were happening while I was reaping benefits, huh?”

Transcendent World—Tentacles of Tusk!

It had suddenly grown to become one of the largest Transcendent Worlds of Sumatra. And now, the furball, Renduldu, had reached a level of power where he could fight a Transcendent Eater, alone.

“I’ll take care of these.” Renduldu eyed Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater, “In the meantime, please buy us time.”

He eyed the pillar of light emanating from Sumatra Continent, “We need to buy time until it is claimed.”

“Especially…” Renduldu stared in the void of space, “Against the approaching opponent.”

[I will!]

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater said in confidence and moved through the node, generating a suffocating influence into its surroundings. With endless momentum, it left the void.

And then, all the Parute Trees on Sumatra Continent wilted, for it had died.

“Thank goodness,” Renduldu heaved a sigh in relief upon seeing the pillar of light vanish, “We’ve bought enough time.”

“Thank you for your valiant sacrifice.”
