Chapter 1091: Nirclick Invasion

Transcendent World—Tentacles of Tusk!

Mahira Tusk landed on her Transcendent World, covered with mutating wounds, having just confronted a Cosmic Being. Her gaze trailed onto a horde of Transcendents that had suddenly appeared, each individually weaker than her, by a significant difference even.

However, they had numbers, excessively at that. And then, they ganged upon a Cosmic Being, launching so much attacks that a large section of the Cosmic Being’s body pieced off and fell towards Sumatra.

’That’s too big of a piece!’ Mahira Tusk promptly took action as a gigantic bone spike jutted out of her Transcendent World and stabbed towards the Cosmic Being’s severed body part. However, a streak of light intercepted.

“Gah!” It was a Transcendent resembling a turtle, spanning a height of 40 kilometres. Despite using all its defensive means, it failed to defend against Mahira Tusk’s attack. Its body crumbled and was absorbed into the bone spike, reinforcing the latter.

That one attack destroyed a Gold Transcendent. However, the other side’s purpose had been achieved. For now, there was no one else to stop the Cosmic Being’s severed body part from falling upon Sumatra Continent.

“Ren!” Mahira bellowed and condensed a sphere resembling a Nature Weapon. She was just about to use it when suddenly, tens of thousands of Iron Transcendents appeared before her.

“Die!” They roared in unison and swarmed her, only to be pierced by a forest of bones that jutted out like a porcupine’s spikes. The army of Iron Transcendents were killed just like that.

However, before Mahira Tusk could do anything else, they reappeared, having been revived.

“So, they’ve appeared.” She frowned and stared in the direction from which the Iron Transcendents had arrived. They didn’t fly in, but instead seemed to have been thrown towards her.

Farther away, as she observed, having killed the Iron Transcendent army a second time, Mahira Tusk noticed a carnivorous vine protrude out of the grey sand bordering a path leading to their node.

From one, to a dozen a second later, the carnivorous vines increased in numbers, as soon, a ghastly screech reverberated across the void, emitted using an almost endless reserve of Transcendent Prana.

Being the most widely recognised ceiling of power at the Mystic Grade, an existence dreaded by the majority of Transcendents. Only the most powerful of Continents had the strength to subdue and control one.

Transcendent Eater!

Immediately in response, carnivorous vines burst out of the grey sand from a spot significantly farther back in the node behind her. It was Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater, having revealed itself fully upon coming across a dangerous enemy.

Came a question from Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater, addressed towards Mahira Tusk.

“Meditating,” Mahira Tusk twirled the sphere in her possession, “In preparation to receive the culmination of his chronicles.”

[Then, start dancing!]

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater said and spawned thousands of fruits from its branches, all of which hatched in a matter of seconds. There was a visible shrink in the grey sand nearby, causing the node to become a tad bigger than before.

The army of Transcendents under Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater’s control split into two. The bigger group flew towards the invading Transcendent Eater’s army while the smaller group flew towards the severed Cosmic Being’s body part headed towards Sumatra.

They intended to stop the body part from hitting Sumatra Continent. However, the enemy seemed prepared this time, as another army of Transcendents appeared.

Moreover, spawning in the vicinity of Sumatra Continent was another set of carnivorous mouth, all growing in size to form a wall around the Continent.

A second Transcendent Eater had arrived, quickly spawning its set of Transcendents to block the Transcendent army of Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater.

[Rogue Transcendent Eaters!]

Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater’s pissed voice boomed across the minds of all Transcendents belonging to Sumatra.

Majority of the Transcendent Eaters were rogue. They went around searching for Transcendent Worlds to consume and strengthen themselves. Very rarely were they subdued and made subservient to a Continent.

Any Continent with a Transcendent Eater used to be an extremely dangerous existence during its life as a Mystic Transcendent. That was how it could subdue a Transcendent Eater and make the latter be loyal for perpetuity.

The rogue Transcendent Eaters had arrived upon smelling an opportunity to bag plenty of strong, useful Transcendents. After all, anyone observing this region in the Sandbox Universe would notice multiple Continents heading towards Sumatra Continent.

Most of them were Continents that were already located in the vicinity, with its Transcendents mingling about quite often in the node where Sumatra’s Transcendents lived. They weren’t much of a threat, since individually, Sumatra’s Transcendents were a tad better, especially the latter generations.

However, drawing eyes of multiple rogue Transcendent Eaters, and even luring them to the destination first was a majestic Continent moving at such speeds space seemed to twist and turn according to its whim.

Nusantara Continent!

It was Sumatra’s home Continent, from where it was born as a Blessed Race, became a Mystic Transcendent, and eventually turned into Sumatra Continent.

Nusantara Continent was one of the most powerful in the Sandbox Universe. Its movements drew the attention of many, including Cosmic Beings.

These Cosmic Beings, intending to target Nusantara Continent, followed suit on its trails, warping their way across vast distances.

One of them had already reached the destination!

Boom, while the fourth rogue Transcendent Eater appeared nearby Sumatra Continent, a brand new Cosmic Being floated into the node. Its arrival sent a chill through the hearts of all of Sumatra’s Transcendents, for they were instantly feeling overwhelmed.

There were already two Cosmic Beings in the node. They were being held back by the Transcendents from three Continents: Sumatra, Palawan, and Boracay.

They had shared a node for a long time, with the Transcendents from the three Continents joining hands to face Cosmic Beings all the time.

Currently, the Continents of Boracay and Palawan were already on the move towards Sumatra, purely out of greed, intending to fish from troubled waters.

They weren’t part of the invading force, for they knew Sumatra’s strength firsthand. If they were to be part of the invading force, they would be turned into Sumatra.

Sumatra’s Transcendents weren’t too much of an issue. The overall strength between the three Continents were more or less similar.

However, when it came to the natives, things were completely different. In the recent century, Sumatra had climbed up to be part of a whole other league.

Hence, the two neighbouring Continents of Palawan and Boracay were intentionally slow in their movements, planning to arrive only after the rest of the invading force arrived.

Their respective Transcendents, upon seeing the arrival of a third Cosmic Being, spontaneously turned tail and fled into their Transcendent Worlds. They didn’t wish to lose their fighting strength beforehand.

Now, Sumatra’s Transcendents were absolutely stretched thin, having to worry about the Transcendents spawned by four rogue Transcendent Eaters, and worst of all, fight three Cosmic Beings. Nw novel chapters are publshed on novel[f]ire.net

And obviously, in an effort to weaken the fighting strength of Sumatra’s natives, the severed body parts of the Cosmic Beings were intentionally thrown towards Sumatra Continent.

The biggest piece fell towards the head of Sumatra Continent, where the majority of its pinnacle strength existed, especially the Mystic Grade existences.

The Cosmic Being’s body part melted slammed into Sumatra’s protective barrier, something unbreachable by most Mystic Transcendents. And then, it started to corrode through, steadily dripping into the Continent.

Gong!

A bright light flashed as the dripping substance was bombarded by Sumatra Continent. The radiation of a Cosmic Being, one that could grotesquely mutate even a Mystic Transcendent, was rapidly suppressed.

Appearing to face the dripping substance were Sumatra Gold, numbering in the tens of thousands. The two clashed as Sumatra Continent’s Transcendent Prana reacted and endured the Cosmic Being’s radiation.

Gradually, the radiation was erased completely, while the remainder of the dripping substance was stabilised.

A large droplet landed on a wetland and split into a thousand fragments, each of which spontaneously stabilised and turned into living beings. They had now been assimilated into Sumatra, as Pranic Beasts.

Advanced Silver Grade Pranic Beast—Nirclick!

With a Prana capacity of 2402 and a lifespan of 490 years, the Nirclick was a Pranic Beast specialised in camouflage.

The wetlands had large rocks floating across its surface, similar to ice bergs. Grass covered some of them in patches, with signs of moss around its edges. The wetlands had a significant variety of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts in thriving population densities.

The Nirclicks, upon appearance, morphed to resemble the floating rocks. They had a jelly-like body that was extremely malleable, with fragmented cores serving as brains.

These bodies latched onto the rocks and camouflaged themselves, assuming both the texture and physical properties of the floating rocks.

And after that, they began releasing pollen into the air.

Primary Nature—Fat Globule!

The pollen, once inhaled by a creature, would settle within their bodies in exactly the locations where the respective body stores energy in the form of fat. The pollen would then steadily absorb the creature’s Prana and grow in size, resembling fat globules.

Upon reaching maximum size, it undergoes mitosis and splits into two, beginning to grow to maximum size once again, in a loop. As it consumes the body’s Prana to multiply, the creature’s Prana will struggle to cleanse the body.

Of course, the Prana of a powerful Silver Grade Pranic Beast and above is robust enough to easily counter this. However, the rest wouldn’t fare well in comparison.

“Grrr!” An Iron Grade Pranic Beast walking through the wetland growled, feeling a tad lazier. As time passed, it kept growing more and more lazier. This was brought about by its body growing in size and weight, as the fat deposits in its body kept increasing.

Soon, one of them grew so fat, its body had expended all Prana. And when it tried to convert the fat reserves into Prana, nothing worked, for the fat didn’t belong to it.

Before its body could figure out a solution, it suffered a heart attack and collapsed into the wetland. Its body deflated seconds later, leaving behind a skeleton as a pollen cloud formed above it.

Slowly, a floating rock moved towards it, recognising based on Prana disnature within the pollen cloud that the source pollen was its. The floating rock extended a tendril into the pollen cloud and absorbed it.

This was what it ate for sustenance, unable to consume anything else. However, the pollen released by just one Nirclick had affected dozens of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts, turning them fat and lazy.

Thousands of Nirclicks were actively damaging the region. And from the skies, more droplets were falling all across Sumatra Continent. It signalled the start of another invasion, purposefully created to halt Sumatra’s development.

And as more and more Nirclicks started to appear across the Continent, an overbearing presence began to build up at a certain spot in Sumatra. Then, a pillar of light burst into the sky.
