Chapter 1089: Linked Pendulum

Chapter 1089: Linked Pendulum

Iron Grade Mineral—Calara!

Calara was an artificial mineral, in that it only existed in certain, physical conditions. First was temperature, where only at around 600 degrees Celsius does it retain solid form. Above it, the substance turns gaseous.

And below that temperature, the substance is just plain material, wherein it is incapable of interacting with Prana. It is a sort of unstable material in that its internal structure is extreme fragile.

Calara appears in a physical state resembling sheet, which is exactly an atom thick. The sheet could stretch for a theoretical infinite area. Of course, after a certain point, the slightest imperfections cause disastrous waves and collapse the structure.

Layers of sheets pile upon each other and are held together by forces similar to magnetic attraction. However, it’s a rapidly dissipating force, requiring constant influx of heat to be maintained. Without it, the sheets would roll over each other and crumble upon their weight, during the process losing their capacity to interact with Prana.

So, the heat Calara absorbs is used to reforge the bonds. Thankfully, it has heat absorption properties, so just sunlight is sufficient.

When built into a Human Avatar, it still needs to absorb sunlight regularly. Thankfully, in the Human Avatar form, it has enough retention and storage capacity to maintain itself for a few days. When successfully built, it resulted in a decent level of power.

Considering the weaknesses, it is substandard at best.

Primary Nature—Heat Transceiver!

All it did was allow the Free Human to absorb and release heat, which wasn’t even dangerous enough to harm anyone. The most it could do was warm people during a cold season, and even that couldn’t be maintained for too long.

After all, if all the heat is discharged, the Human Avatar crumbles. At the Iron Grade, it was trash, no different from a Kirenal Human Avatar. Only heat that is incident on the Human Avatar could be absorbed.

Primary Nature—Linked Transceiver!

At the Silver Grade, the Nature evolved into Linked Transceiver, wherein the user was able to absorb and discharge heat from their Spirit Weapon. The Spirit Weapon generally assumed shapes with a large surface area to maximise heat absorption.

The heat emission not only is strong enough to melt through the bones of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts, this heat could also be generated from the Spirit Weapon as a means of propulsion.

Moreover, the heat absorbed from the Spirit Weapon turns into a wave similar to the stream of Prana maintaining psychokinesis, and could be funnelled into the Human Avatar. It was pretty powerful at the Silver Grade, but still not noteworthy enough.

The Silver Grade Human Avatars of Royalty from many Free Human Kingdoms easily eclipse the power of Linked Transceiver.

However, its true potential, scarily enough just like Kirenal, is unleashed at the Gold Grade. In this grade, it functioned in the same league as Rutham.

Primary Nature—Linked Pendulum!

At the Gold Grade, Calara had a single property: Complete Harmonic Motion.

When a Spirit Weapon is launched from the Human Avatar, it would travel to the end of the Spirit Weapon Range, and then return to the Free Human. The return journey didn’t require the Free Human’s control.

Basically, from the moment of launch, the Spirit Weapon rapidly sucks in heat from its surroundings, in a radius of 180 metres around itself. It stores the heat within itself, and discharges point-blank onto the target upon contact.

The heat would be naturally discharged at a temperature where the contact point’s material melts. And here, as the body’s Prana tries to heal the damage, the Spirit Weapon re-absorbs all the heat it had discharged into the body.

And in this process, also absorbs the body’s heat. The material’s properties also lure in the Prana that had gathered to treat the damaged region, and trap it within the Spirit Container.

The intense heat present in the Spirit Container erases all the influence from the Prana, and turns it into pure Prana, the kind present in a Parute Fruit. This Prana then funnels into the Free Human when the Spirit Weapon returns.

This return journey is typically completed by using the heat stored in the Spirit Weapon for propulsion.

Prana is returned either upon physical contact or as a stream, which is also possible for the heat. In this manner, the user can keep fighting for a long time.

The propulsion capacity of the Spirit Weapon can be concentrated. At the time of launch, it has enough capacity to travel to the end of the Spirit Weapon Range—180 metres—in a second.

When the travel distance is reduced, the speed of travel increases.

At max range, it takes a second for the Spirit Weapon to reach the end, and another second to return to the Free Human. As the distance reduces, the time taken to cover the distance reduces exponentially.

And at a range from the Free Human, equal to his height, the Spirit Weapon attains maximum speed, where it surpasses the speed of a Rutham Human Avatar’s Spirit Weapon.

In this absolute range, it is the fastest. But of course, beyond this absolute range, it cannot compare to a Brimgan Royal’s Spirit Weapon.

Heat absorption and discharge, Prana absorption upon contact, and harmonic oscillatory movement pattern for the Spirit Weapon were the traits of a Gold Grade Calara Human Avatar. ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by NoveI(F)ire.net

Unlike a Brimgan Royal’s Rutham Human Avatar that is perfectly balanced, without any inherent weaknesses, the Calara Human Avatar has plenty of weaknesses that could be exploited. However, this approach allowed the Free Human to min-max the build.

Basically, it was exceptionally powerful in the hands of someone competent. That was Nirat Brunth’s power.

A 2-Life Stage Calara Human Avatar, the Minor Treasure of Silver Boost, the Minor Treasure of Gold Boost, and the Minor Treasure of Linked Transfer were his foundation. Currently, he had a glaring weakness in his Human Avatar, wherein its stored heat is fully expended.

To solve it, he was in search of a suitable heat-generating Secondary Nature. This way, he wouldn’t have any weakness even in a place without sunlight, which was plenty in the Drenta Vines, thanks to the Sandy-Grey Void patches.

Minor Treasure—Linked Transfer!

It was a pretty miraculous in its effects. Through it, Nirat could keep linking various Natures to himself and see how their influence affects him. And along the way, if he were to come across a Nature whose effects were compatible with Calara, then as long as he retains its influence in his Human Avatar, it would eventually birth a suitable Secondary Nature.

He was waiting to find someone with such a compatible power, but hadn’t had any luck until now.

“We’re here.” Nirat said upon arriving at a certain spot along the Drenta Vine where the PariBota Kingdom had been established. He turned around and curtly nodded at the PariBota King, “I’ll take it from here.”

“Alright,” That was all WoBhimika could utter.

“I’ll show you the path,” Nirat said as he touched a large pillar, from which dropped down a thick ladder. It dangled down the Drenta Vine, created with a material strong enough to withstand the tension spanning hundreds of kilometres.

The ladder continued to descend down without limits, and soon, was out of sight. Pointing at it, Nirat uttered, “We need to jump now.”

“Sure,” Zhya uttered as she made eye contact with Wally once. The duo followed right behind Nirat and grabbed the rope ladder that continued to descend.

After a certain point, a strong breeze carried the rope in another direction, where it stretched without limits, like a ship rowing across a mighty river. The group travelled by holding on tight to their respective spots on the ladder.

“We’d have to climb down the ladder if we miss the timing. These winds make it risky.” Nirat said as he watched Brangara stand tall a hundred metres behind them, casually holding the ropes with his feet.

For a few days, the rope descended endlessly, through a vast section of mist where the Prana detection means was severely inhibited, barely spanning for a few metres from the body.

“How’s your condition?” Zhya asked Wally the moment she noticed the mist’s properties to inhibit Prana detection means.

“I’m unaffected as long as I use my Primary Nature.” Wally nodded calmly, “However, without it, my detection means barely stretch sixteen metres from my body.”

“Sixteen, huh?” Zhya raised an eyebrow, ’I can barely reach ten metres.’

Of course, with their specialised detection means, they could extend the range further. However, it would still pale in comparison to their typical range.

“The fact that something like this is happening means…” Zhya smirked, “We’re getting closer.”

“I am curious to what it holds, even after getting raided for a while.” Wally uttered and then subtly glanced behind him, “And why is he here?”

“Ignore him, for now.” Zhya revealed a faint smile, “However, be prepared to kill him. Irrespective of what he calls himself, he is someone who might disrupt our plans.”

“Wouldn’t he just revive?” Wally asked, “There still exists three more Minor Treasures of Mystic Human Stamps.”

“That’s not an issue.” Zhya grinned, “We only need to prevent him from benefiting from the Ruin.”

“We’re here!” Nirat announced at this time as he released heat in a specific fluctuation to clear up the mist, revealing a ginormous pillar of night stretching endlessly into the sky.

This Sandy-Grey Void patch was circular in shape, spanning a radius of 400 kilometres. Pointing at it, Nirat uttered, “That’s the Death Tentacle Ruins.”

“As I suspected,” Wally uttered, “It is built within the Sandy-Grey Void.”

“Navigating it would be a pain.” He chuckled, “No wonder the death rate is so high.”

He chuckled, because if anyone on Sumatra could freely explore the Sandy-Grey Void currently, that would be him.
