Ch. 1304 - Descending Upon Celestial Luan
New Novel🪶
“Whoever refuses to destroy the Celestial Luan God Realm,” Qi Haoran said, “can tell Young Master Xu himself.”
That silenced everyone instantly.
Elders who’d hesitated quickly fell in line behind Elder Bi. Even the Second Elder, seeing he had little support, joined them.
He could complain all he wanted, but facing Xu Zimo directly? That was another story.
Everyone knew they really had no choice.
“You offended him before, and now we owe him a favor,” Qi Haoran said. “Helping once is no big deal.”
“Who’s the current Realm Lord of the Celestial Luan God Realm?” he asked.
“It’s Desolate Emperor,” someone replied. “The previous Realm Lord was deposed. He only just took over.”
“Then gather the troops,” Qi Haoran said, slamming the table. “Strike before they can react.”
The elders nodded one after another.
When the meeting ended, Qi Haoran sent word to Xu Zimo.
In the courtyard, spring wind brushed the willows.
Xu Zimo lay reclined on a bamboo chair, while Wu Zhaodi brewed tea beside him.
As for Paimon and the others, he had sent them to the God World to experience the Heavenly Dao directly, a shortcut to enlightenment.
A disciple from Vast Heaven God Realm arrived with the news.
After hearing it, Xu Zimo smiled at Wu Zhaodi. “Just wait. The show’s about to begin.”
“I want to kill the Realm Lord of the Celestial Luan God Realm myself,” Wu Zhaodi said bitterly.
“You’ll get your chance,” Xu Zimo assured her.
With everything set in motion, he began cultivating the inheritance left by Jumang, the God Tree’s Blessing, a technique that could serve as a second life, and the Wood God Ancient Dao, which could heal allies on a massive scale.
After a full day and night of cultivation, Vast Heaven God Realm’s preparations were complete. Qi Haoran personally notified Xu Zimo that they were departing for the Celestial Luan God Realm.
When they stepped out, billions of airships floated across the sky, glowing softly and aligned in perfect formation.
“Let’s share one,” Qi Haoran said, stepping onto the lead ship.
Xu Zimo noticed that the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign and the War Heaven Saint Sovereign were already aboard.
“Young Master Xu,” they greeted awkwardly.
“I appreciate your help,” Xu Zimo said calmly.
“It’s our honor,” they both replied quickly, their former arrogance nowhere to be seen.
The ships roared to life, trails of white mist spewing from their backs as they shot toward the distant Celestial Luan God Realm.
The Celestial Luan God Realm.
Located at the southernmost end of the Southern Region, it was a vast and ancient power ruling territories spanning hundreds of millions of miles.
In its golden age, it had even produced a Sage Monarch.
Though that ruler had long vanished, the palace’s prestige endured.
It stood atop Cloud God Mountain, a land of perpetual snow and bitter cold.
The outer walls were made of white jade, gleaming with divine light.
Its disciples wore robes of soft white fur, glimmering faintly with stars; the words Heaven and Earth were embroidered upon their chests.
That day, the palace was hosting its Grand Disciple Tournament, the first since the new Realm Lord’s ascension, symbolizing a new era.
As the distant roar of spirit ships echoed across the sky, two guards at the gate noticed first.
“Someone’s invading!” one shouted.
“Calm down, it looks like Vast Heaven God Realm,” the other said. “We’ve got no feud with them. Maybe they came to observe the tournament.”
They hurried forward to greet the visitors.
The ships halted before them, the shockwaves nearly blowing them off their feet.
“May I ask which senior of Vast Heaven God Realm honors the Celestial Luan God Realm today?” one disciple called out.
Xu Zimo stepped down first, flanked by Wu Zhaodi and Qi Haoran. Behind them followed the two ancient ancestors.
“Wu… Senior Sister Wu?” one guard stammered, recognizing her instantly.
No surprise, her mother had been the former Realm Lord, making her one of the sect’s most renowned figures.
“Don’t call her that,” the other guard snapped. “The Realm Lord declared her a traitor!”
“Then go report to the Realm Lord!” the first said nervously.
They tried to flee, but the War Heaven Saint Sovereign waved his hand, the surrounding space froze solid.
“Senior of Vast Heaven God Realm, what are you doing?” the guards shouted in fear.
“We’ve come to destroy your palace,” Qi Haoran said flatly.
The disciples’ faces turned pale. “S-surely you jest, senior!”
“Do we look like we came all this way for a joke?” Qi Haoran asked coldly. “Be quiet, or you’ll ruin everything.”
The air twisted, and the two were swallowed by the void.
“They’re holding a disciple tournament inside,” Xu Zimo said with a smile. “Shall we go watch?”
“Surround the palace,” he ordered the others.
He then led Wu Zhaodi into the palace grounds.
The place was ethereal, their feet stepped on mist, as if walking through the clouds.
A massive statue of a Celestial Luan loomed nearby. Legend said that when the Luan once cried, its voice illuminated all nine regions of the South.
Touching the statue’s feathers, Wu Zhaodi’s eyes softened. “Young Master Xu, I suddenly don’t want to destroy this place. It’s where I grew up.”
“Then we’ll just kill a few and make you the new Realm Lord,” Xu Zimo said lightly. “How’s your progress on the Avatar technique I gave you?”
“With your guidance, I’ll master it soon,” she replied.
