Chapter 2586: Complications of Enslaving Gods.

The god of knowledge said that the information about how to create a Supreme Authority was unlikely to be useful to Legion. By saying that, he was saying that it was nearly impossible for Legion to become a Supreme god.

He was taking another jab at the god of telepathy. The virtual body couldn’t take it anymore and urged him, “Just get on with it.”

To this, the god of knowledge chuckled and said, “To talk about why the authority of the pathway of slavery is so difficult to subdue, we must talk about what it is capable of. The god of slavery should be capable of enslaving gods. This is a very powerful ability because gods should be impossible to enslave.”

“You can test this conjecture yourself. If you enslave a god, the authority of the pathway will reject that god, so the rank of the god will fall.”

“If you’re unlucky, once the rank of the god falls, they will die a violent death. If you’re lucky, the god will be able to survive a godling.”

“For a god to survive as a godling after their authority rejects them, they must have a rank 10 divine ability. But even a rank 10 divine ability is not enough to maintain their lives after their authority rejects them.”

“This is because when their authority rejects them, all the divinity in their souls will be purged. This will usually lead to their souls fracturing.”

“So if you enslave the mind of a god, which I’m sure you can do as the god of telepathy, it is most likely that what you will get for your effort is a corpse. And if the god is one who has fully fused with their pathway, like me, it is even more impossible to enslave their minds because their minds would be reinforced by their authority.”

“But the pathway of slavery is different in that its target of enslavement is the souls and the authority itself, not just the mind. While the best that you can do is change the memories of a god, the pathway of slavery can subdue a god completely.”

“However, this great power comes at a great cost. The first great cost is that you must first be able to prevent the authority of the pathway of slavery from enslaving you.”

“There have been many angels of slavery in the past, and there have been many godlings of the pathway of slavery, too. All of them tried to control the authority of the pathway of slavery, but they all failed and lost their lives.”

“The process of controlling the authority of slavery is easy. All you need to do is to use your divine body of the pathway of slavery to fuse with it.”

Then he chuckled and said, “I know that you can’t use this method since you don’t have the divine body of slavery anymore, so I’ll tell you another method to use. You don’t need to complain for one before I give it to you.”

His voice was smug as he said, “You can also use a mental divine ability to try and fuse with the authority of slavery. This should work as long as the mental divine ability you use it directly connected to your mind, so a Mind Domination divine ability will also work.”

“But that is just the easy part. It is always easy to try to control the authority of slavery, but no one has ever succeeded.”

“The authority of slavery is difficult to control because it will disable every divine ability in the host during the fusion, demand that the host have very powerful raw power to carry it, and demand that the host have a powerful mind to prevent being enslaved.”

“So as long as you are trying to control the authority of the pathway of slavery, you will lose all of your power until you fuse completely with it and become the god of slavery. If you can’t become the god of slavery for one reason or another, you will die.”

“The death of so many people trying to control the authority of the pathway of slavery and the fact that anytime he tries to control it, he loses his power, is why the god of nobles had given up on trying to control it for now.”

“The god of nobles has been asking me how to control it for a long time. I didn’t tell him because he didn’t have the information that was worthy of what he wanted to know, not because I was holding out on him.”

Then he smiled and said, “But I suppose he will have become desperate now. Who knows what he will try since the god of crime and error wants his life?”

The virtual body asked him, “Is that all?”

The god of knowledge nodded and said, “That is all I have to say. Now it is your turn to attack me.”

The virtual body snorted and said, “Open your mind.”

The god of knowledge responded by removing all of his outer bodies. This gave the virtual body permission to enter his mind.

The virtual body created a virtual copy of his mind with the Mind Domination divine ability. This caused a white halo to appear around his head. The white halo dimmed and disappeared as the virtual body made the virtual copy of his mind enter the mind of the god of knowledge.

What Legion saw in the mind of the god of knowledge was a giant planet. The atmosphere of the planet was the outer layer of his mind, while the crust of the planet was the second layer of his mind.

This was the most secure mind that they had ever seen. A mind should have a gaseous outer layer, a liquid middle layer, and a solid core. But both the middle layer and the core of the mind of the god of knowledge were solid.

This solid state of the second layer of the mind of the god of knowledge meant that it would be very difficult for Legion to read his memories.
