He had far too many questions, and he hoped his first incarnation’s heart devil could give him some answers.

You’ll understand once you’ve proven your Dao and become Eternal,” said the heart devil in the rusted sheath. “Those yet to achieve Eternity cannot comprehend the Eternal Pact, and if they try, they’ll provoke a backlash from the Laws. The heart devil paused, then added, “Of course, you’re an exception.”

Su Yi was stunned. “Just learning about the Eternal Pact in the All-Profound Dominion will result in a backlash from the Laws and the erasure of one’s memories?”

“That’s right. I might not be able to destroy them all, but I’ll kill as many as I can before the Dark Days of Legend arrive!”

Su Yi had planned his revenge carefully. The destruction of the Three Purities Daoist Court was just the opening act.

Even as he conversed with his friends, he skimmed the information Qi Wei had gathered.
