Chapter 2446 – Seeing the Future Once More

A stream of sword qi emanating imposing majesty took to the skies, then cleaved into the Well of Turbulent Daos.

The well rumbled and boomed. Chaos energy billowed into the air, and a hand shot out of the well and formed seals.

Boom!

Resplendent chaos light condensed into a divine wheel, clashing with the sword qi to produce an endlessly terrifying current of destructive power.

An ethereal voice emanated from within the well. “Why aren’t you using that mysterious power of will? Don’t tell me that you could only use it once?”

Su Yi knew that opponents tended to fixate on whatever they were most afraid of. There was no doubt about it; for the voice in the well to bring this up suggested that he was afraid of his first incarnation’s power!

Su Yi disregarded that and continued attacking the Well of Turbulent Daos.

Kaboom!

Sword qi whooshed through the air, dazzling and resplendent. It was as if Su Yi had stirred up an endless river of stars, sending it shooting into the firmament, where it repeatedly slammed the Well of Turbulent Daos.

His Undying Realm No Laws, No Heavens cultivation base circulated to unprecedented heights.

But, relying purely on his own strength, he had no hope of contending with a taboo treasure like the Well of Turbulent Daos, let alone the mysterious figure inside it.

Thus, when he attacked, Su Yi directly drew on the Sword of the Nine Hells.

This made his sword force terrifying beyond measure. The mysterious figure in the well blocked most of it, but it was still enough to leave the well swaying on impact, and it seemed it might well fall out of the sky.

The sound boomed in all directions, but Su Yi just ignored it. He was in no mood for wasted words.

His long pent-up murderous intent and hatred was on the verge of erupting.

Visions of sending Old Mo and the others into the cycle of reincarnation floated to the forefront of his mind. It was a permanent farewell, an overwhelmingly painful loss.

And Luo Yao’s death came as an even heavier blow. Su Yi’s heart was long full of endless hatred and fury.

Su Yi had never revealed it on the surface. Rather, he buried it all deep within his heart.

But there was no suppressing it any longer. Now, his pent-up hatred and fury finally erupted!

Within his sea of consciousness, the Sword of the Nine Hells rumbled and boomed, resonating with Su Yi’s essence, qi, and spirit. THe three remaining Divine Chains clattered and shook.

Within Su Yi’s body, the Epoch Spark, now fully fused with his cultivation base, unleashed its potential, letting Su Yi display the full extent of his strength.

Even the Sword of Proximity clattered and wailed, as if sensing Su Yi’s hatred and fury!

He really is going all out… Within the rusted sword sheath, his first incarnation’s heart devil noticed the changes to Su Yi’s aura.

It even seemed to startle the power of the Tribulation of the Five Witherings gathering overhead. The tribulation clouds grew incomparably violent.

All of this was because of the Epoch Spark unleashing its latent potential. This stimulated the calamitous power of the natural order of the epochs within the Tribulation of the Five Witherings!

The Tribulation of the Five Witherings’ power intensified, throwing the Well of Turbulent Daos into upheaval and making it sway violently.

At that moment, a figure shot out of the well’s depths. He swung his palm, and glittering, golden power of the natural order descended.

Bang!

Su Yi was forced back, coughing up blood.

The power of that strike was just too terrifying; it was far beyond a Nine-Tribulation Master God. Even though Su Yi was drawing on the Sword of the Nine Hells’ power, he couldn’t avoid injury.

“I said it, didn’t I? Without that avatar of will to help you, you… are no match for me!”

That figure stood in midair, his calm and indifferent booming throughout heaven and earth.

His whole body erupted with radiant light, and golden flames enveloped him. He was like a sovereign presiding over the firmament, as grand as the heavens themselves!

Everyone was startled.

Upon closer inspection, although that figure looked identical to Old Man Heart Demon, his presence was completely different. He was ethereal, mysterious, and tyrannical!

Everyone present, no matter who they were, felt terrifying pressure bear down on their hearts, bodies, and souls.

Many of them looked stricken.

Is this… is this the mysterious existence in the Well of Turbulent Daos?

Even the Outsider Celestial Demon Emperors were startled. In their eyes, that mysterious figure was obviously the “Old Man Heart Demon” they were familiar with.

But his aura was so different that he seemed incomparably foreign.

The Buddha of the Future!

Back in the Human Realm, the Buddha of the Future’s avatar of will had appeared once in a bid to refine the Dark and Gold Star Realm, the home of the Wilds.

But this wasn’t the Buddha of the Future’s true appearance.

The true Buddha of the Future sat on a lotus platform shining with endless Buddhist radiance, and he looked as if he were seated in the distant Pure Lands. Wheels of light revolved behind him, manifesting visions of a thousand great worlds, and countless streaks of nirvanic fire fell around him like rain. He was incomparably majestic.

Su Yi also recalled that when the Buddha of the Future laid eyes on Su Yi, he uttered just one sentence: “You’ve seen the future, so why haven’t you bowed before me?”

The sentence was imbued with the mysteries of Chan Buddhism, and it brought with it tyrannical pressure. His way of doing things was starkly different from the Dipankara Buddha’s.

Now, here he was again. He’d emerged from the Well of Turbulent Daos, and this was obviously his true body, not an avatar of will!

“No wonder the Dipankara Buddha was so intent on luring me here. So, his true killer weapon was you all long,” whispered Su Yi.

Before arriving in the God Domain, Su Yi had wondered where the long-vanished Buddhas of the Present and Future had gone.

Now, it seemed they hadn’t really vanished. They’d been in the God Domain this entire time!

Meanwhile, the Tribulation of the Five Witherings rampaged, repeatedly assailing the Well of Turbulent Daos.

Wen Qingfeng and the others’ situation was already as perilous as could be, and many of them were badly injured. Some had hearts on the brinks of collapse, while others had sunk deep into worlds of illusions. All of them faced death at any moment.

“You’re only just now realizing who I am? You sure are dense,” said the Buddha of the Future, still under the guise of Old Man Heart Demon. His majestic voice boomed throughout the nine heavens and the ten earths.

Boom!

Before his voice had even finished echoing through the air, he attacked directly, his hand forming a seal and pressing down on the sky.

Golden Sanskrit writing surged forth, then condensed into a lotus treasure seal glowing with radiance as dazzling as the sun itself. Then, it descended upon Su Yi.

The very sky itself seemed to melt instantly. Terrifying pressure collapsed the area around Su Yi, presenting him with an almost suffocating, imminent threat.

Any other time, Su Yi would have wanted to fight the Buddha of the Future. Even if his hopes of victory were minuscule, Su Yi wanted to know just how strong his enemy really was.

But now, time was tight. There was no room for Su Yi to test his opponent’s limits.

Instead, he took out his rusted sheath and swung it. A black line appeared in midair, like a rift through time and space. It effortlessly enveloped the lotus treasure seal, which vanished completely.

The Buddha of the Future narrowed his eyes. Su Yi, meanwhile, seized the opportunity to strike.

Boom!

Sword qi burst forth, cleaving through the sky.

The Buddha of the Future swung his fists and clashed with him head-on, glowing like the sun. He collapsed the incoming sword qi, only for that black line to devour his attack; it couldn’t damage Su Yi in the slightest.

Su Yi had now seized the initiative. He used the Sword of Proximity to attack, and the rusted sheath to devour his opponent’s attacks. In just a few breaths of time, he’d forced the Buddha of the Future into a passive position!

Meanwhile, Su Yi attacked suddenly, slashing the Well of Turbulent Daos.

Bang!!

The Well of Turbulent Daos shook, scattering a rain of chaos light.

The Buddha of the Future looked solemn. He roared, “Step back, all of you!”

The Demon Emperors clashing with Wen Qingfeng and the others’ hearts shook. They looked over and saw that the Well of Turbulent Daos was shaking as if about to fall; it clearly couldn’t withstand the Tribulation of the Five Witherings much longer!

The Demon Emperors’ hair instantly stood on end. All of them retreated explosively, not daring to hesitate.

Su Yi, meanwhile, shifted through the air, arrived by his friends’ side, and waved his sleeve.

Boom!!

Chaos light surged forth, filling the sky and enveloping all of his allies.

Meanwhile, the light of the Tribulation of the Five Witherings came crashing down. Heaven and earth instantly collapsed, and all things in between were annihilated.

Su Yi and his allies were unaffected thanks to the power of the Epoch Spark, and the Buddha of the Future protected himself with the Well of Turbulent Daos.

Chi Nie and the other Demon Emperors’ hearts filled with intense bitterness.

Earlier, they’d been at an absolute advantage. They’d dealt Wen Qingfeng and the others massive damage, but just as they were about to kill their opponents, the Tribulation of the Five Witherings erupted in full force!

The situation instantly changed completely.

“That sheath really is terrifying, but it’s not enough to threaten me,” said the Buddha of the Future gravely, his eyes flashing with light as searing as the radiance of the sun. “Now that you have to divert your attention to defend your allies, you’re sure to lose!”

His voice boomed, holy and grand, echoing throughout the nine heavens and the ten earths.

Su Yi said casually, “So long as you don’t flee, I guarantee we’ll end things today, once and for all.”

The Buddha of the Future snorted coldly, then attacked without another word.

Boom!

When he raised his hands into the air, a Buddhist tower appeared.

It was only nine inches tall, but as it flew, it expanded, growing to ten thousand feet in a flash.

Its body was bathed in Buddhist light, and it glittered as if it were forged out of Undying Divine Gold. It was divided into nine stories, each covered in strange and mystical Sanskrit text., like blooming lotuses shining with intense radiance.

A strange, taboo aura swept outward, enveloping the entire area.

Even the Tribulation of the Five Witherings was affected, its power thrown into disarray!

Everything in heaven and earth was suppressed beneath that Buddhist tower’s holy aura!

What’s that?

Everyone was bewildered.

The tower hovered there, like an otherworldly paradise reflected before their very eyes. It was full of holy, Undying power, and it could suppress all things!

And its wielder, the mysterious Buddha of the Future, changed as it appeared, his aura soaring to new heights.

He now seemed like a sovereign presiding over all of creation!
