Chapter 2445 – The Situation Changes

Over thirty Demon Emperors from the Deathless Body, Thousand Transformations Soul, and Formless Heart Demon races attacked at once. Their lineup was incomparably imposing.

Twelve Deathless Body Demons charged at the vanguard, while the Thousand Transformation Soul Demons took up the rear. The Formless Heart Demons, meanwhile, attacked from the sides.

This formation had obviously been designed for Su Yi. His enemies knew that his heart and soul were all but indestructible; he’d been able to kill Emperor-Level Formless Heart Demons and Thousand Transformation Soul Demons even before entering the Undying Realm.

Su Yi seized this rare opportunity to slip past them.

Demon Emperor Chi Nie looked stricken. He and the other Deathless Body Demons rushed to stop Su Yi.

But they were ultimately one step too late.

After breaking free of their encirclement, Su Yi swung his sword, sending the Thousand Transformations Soul Demons in his path flying. Then, he shot toward the Formless Heart Demons without so much as slowing down.

But then, the fleeing Su Yi whipped around and attacked out of nowhere.

A Thousand Transformations Soul Demon Emperor died a brutal death, eradicated completely.

Only then did Su Yi turn back around and resume fleeing.

The sight deeply provoked Demon Emperor Chi Nie and the others, but it also cleared their heads and put them on guard.

Still, they attacked relentlessly, bringing down countless mountains and erasing countless rivers.

“Su Yi, if you’ve got balls, fight us! Don’t try to run!”

“Something isn’t right here. Don’t tell me he’s using himself as bait to lure us somewhere?” a Demon Emperor said suddenly.

Chi Nie and the others were instantly solemn. They instantly cleared their heads.

“Su Yi can summon the Tribulation of the Five Witherings. Logically speaking, there’s no need for him to fight us in close quarters, nor does he need to flee. All he needs to do is summon the tribulation, and we’d be the ones fleeing instead,” someone said gravely.

“Rest assured. Yesterday, I made contact with Celestial Progenitor Ling Mi,” transmitted Demon Emperor Chi Nie. “His Excellency has changed his mind. Last night, he personally set off, leading the rest of the Demon Emperors into battle!

“No matter what Su Yi is trying to pull, he’ll die beyond a doubt!”

The others’ spirits soared.

“Does that mean that the Esteemed Progenitor is lying in ambush somewhere?” someone couldn’t help but ask.

“That’s right,” Demon Emperor Chi Nie said icily. “Su Yi thinks he’s clever. Little does he know, everything we’ve done up onto this point was a diversion!

“Our goal is to make him complacent. When he lowers his guard, it’ll be time to close the net and catch him unawares!”

The Demon Emperors’ hearts swelled with emotion, and their wills to fight caught ablaze.

Earlier, they’d all thought that Old Man Heart Demon wanted to settle things with Su Yi at the Blood Lake. They’d had no idea that he’d changed his plans to take action sooner than they’d originally anticipated!

Su Yi thought he was being clever by using himself as bait, but now, he was sure to fall flat on his face!

As Demon Emperor Chi Nie and the others conversed, the fleeing Su Yi abruptly stopped in place and turned around.

“Everyone, hold fast! We cannot let them escape!” bellowed Wen Qingfeng, his eyes blazing with murderous intent.

They’d been waiting here for a long time, but their opportunity to catch turtles in a jar had finally arrived.

The imposing power of a formation surged forth on all sides, rising out of the ground and blotting out the sun.

This was the killing formation Wen Qingfeng and the others had worked together to place, all for the sake of preventing Chi Nie and the other Demon Emperors from escaping the Tribulation of the Five Witherings!

“What do we do?”

The Demon Emperors looked stricken, their hearts full of unease.

“Relax. The Esteemed Progenitor is sure to come to our aid!” Demon Emperor Chi Nie gnashed his teeth. “Before we do anything else, we have to fight our way out of this before the Tribulation of the Five Witherings descends!”

Before his voice had even finished echoing through the air, he led the Demon Emperors into battle.

“Die!”

“Die!”

Chi Nie and the Demon Emperors fought like mad, trying their utmost to shoot into the distance.

Heaven and earth inverted, and the sky split as Wen Qingfeng and the others controlled the formation, doing everything they could to trap the Demon Emperors.

Su Yi attacked from behind, sword swinging. Together, he and his enemies formed a pincer attack.

The blood-red clouds of the Tribulation of the Five Witherings churned, almost ready to strike.

If they didn’t break through the formation quickly, the consequences would be unimaginably dire.

“Kill!” Chi Nie and the others fought with all their might.

“Kill!” Wen Qingfeng and the others fought with similar intensity, all of them red-eyed with bloodlust. They were determined to keep their enemies trapped beneath the Tribulation of the Five Witherings even if it killed them.

“Die!” Su Yi leaped forward, sword swinging. He, too, struck to kill, and he drew upon the Sword of the Nine Hells without holding back in the slightest.

Within just a few breaths of time, several more Formless Heart and Thousand Transformations Soul Demons were slain on the spot!

Tribulation clouds churned. The Tribulation of the Five Witherings would soon descend.

Demon Emperor Chi Nie was frantic. Why hasn’t the progenitor come to our aid yet?

He’d only just thought this when the Well of Turbulent Daos appeared. Chaos flames erupted from the opening, enveloping the power of the Tribulation of the Five Witherings.

Practically simultaneously, Demon Emperors appeared on all sides, then charged at Wen Qingfeng and the others.

“Get over here, quickly!” Su Yi sensed what was happening and called out to them.

His friends dared not hesitate. All of them gave up on their current targets and gathered around Su Yi.

But how could Chi Nie possibly agree to that?

The Well of Turbulent Daos was blocking the Tribulation of the Five Witherings, effectively removing the biggest threat in their way. There was no longer any need to worry.

On the contrary, Wen Qingfeng and the others were now surrounded and in grave peril!

To the Demon Emperors, this was unquestionably the perfect chance to fight back.

“Stop them!” Demon Emperor Chi Nie roared, then led the others to intercept Wen Qingfeng.

Su Yi’s brow furrowed. This development wasn’t all that unexpected, but he hadn’t anticipated that the person impersonating Old Man Heart Demon would dare show himself, much less that he’d bring dozens of Demon Emperors with him!

“Then let’s settle things here and end this, once and for all!” Su Yi’s eyes flashed with cold light as he suddenly took to the skies and attacked the Well of Turbulent Daos.

The Tribulation of the Five Witherings churned, but the well’s chaos light blocked its power.

The entire area was thrown into upheaval.

When Su Yi drew near, a large hand shot out of the Well of Turbulent Daos. It was swathed in stinging chaos Dao Light as it ruthlessly swung at Su Yi.

Su Yi sensed an impending lethal threat and swung his sword without hesitation, wrapping it in the power of the Sword of the nine Hells.

Boom!

The entire stretch of sky split.

As sword qi swept forth, Su Yi staggered on his feet, his blood and qi churning. His vital energy shook and almost fell apart.

But the giant hand condensed out of divine chaos light collapsed first.

Without the slightest hesitation, Su Yi attacked once more, cold murderous intent flashing in the depths of his gaze.

The key to overcoming this predicament was the Well of Turbulent Daos, or rather, the mysterious expert inside it.

It was only by dealing with him that Su YI could fully turn this situation around!
