Chapter 2908: A True Miracle
Chapter 2908: A True Miracle
Bai Jingshen knew just the right words to enrage the Azure Dragon. He even made sure to smile as he said those words.
The Azure Dragon grew in size, becoming much larger as he stared down at Bai Jingshen. But before he could speak, Bai Jingshen spoke up.
“No need to be so angry, senior Zhangru. It was just a small jest. You are older than me, so for now you are the senior.”
Qing Zhangru glared down. “For now?” he asked.
Bai Jingshen only smiled. “Now, if you don’t mind, I would like to take my great-grandson away. He must’ve been tired after a long journey.”
“I still have not received the answer to my question,” Qing Zhangru said.
“You have already. He used his father’s teleportation talisman. Surely there’s no crime in doing that. Even if it was, I’m sure your magnanimous self is willing to forgive him for that,” the White Tiger said. “If you still wish to further question him, you’re free to follow us to our home. I’m sure every White Tiger will be happy to see you there.”
Qing Zhangru’s anger was clear, but there wasn’t much he could do at that moment. Despite the fact that an Azure Dragon’s talisman had been used, it had been done by someone who was so clearly a descendant of a White Tiger.
As a result, they would need to question the White Tiger themselves.
“You’ll hear from our patriarch soon,” Qing Zhangru said, and then in a flash of silver light, he disappeared.
Bai Jingshen stood there for a moment before turning around. “Scary, isn’t he?” he asked.
“Grandpa!”
Pearl walked forward.
“Haha! It’s good to see you’ve finally made it here,” Bai Jingshen said. “I was worried you wouldn’t come at all.”
“There was never a question,” Alex said as he moved forward as well. “It is truly good to see you, brother Shen. I cannot imagine how much trouble we would’ve been in had you not arrived in time.”
“With Pearl around, you’re not going to get into too much trouble,” Bai Jingshen said. “As much as senior Zhangru made it seem like he was angry, he still wouldn’t dare attack any of you. He won’t attack a Heavenly beast so easily.”
“I see. I am glad to hear that,” Alex said.
“I’m sorry I revealed it all so soon, grandpa. I should’ve waited just a little longer for you to arrive.”
“That’s fine,” Bai Jingshen said. “We were going to have to reveal it sooner or later anyway. We can’t have you stay away from your other family forever, can we?”
Pearl nodded.
“How have you been, Whisker? You have become an Immortal as well, it seems.”
Whisker smiled. “I have, senior.”
Bai Jingshen next turned toward Bladedance. “Welcome to the Land of the Blessed Sun, Sword God.”
“We… haven’t met before, have we?” Bladedance asked.
“I’m afraid not. I am far too young to have met you before,” Bai Jingshen said. “I just heard who you were. If you don’t mind me asking, why are you traveling with the young man and my great-grandson?”
“This young man here is my disciple,” Bladedance answered.
“Disciple?” Bai Jingshen raised his eyebrows. “You managed to become a disciple to a god? That is incredible.”
Alex smiled slightly. “Brother Shen, can we leave this place? We can chat on the way back.”
Bai Jingshen looked all around. There were still hundreds of beasts there, all of whom were staring at them.
“Right, let us leave.”
He prepared a large ship and had everyone get on it. Once they were on the ship, they flew away.
The Land of the Blessed Sun was a massive realm full of greenery. There were no forests from what Alex could see. Each forest was actually filled with buildings within it.
In a way, the distinctions between forests and cities were so clouded here that it was impossible to tell which existed and which did not.
With this being a realm of the beasts, it was expected.
Wu Shaozhe stared at the passing scenery, fascinated by what he was seeing. Not even the edges of Hell seemed this incredible.
“We could use a teleport formation to return to our home, but I believe it will be better to travel there on a ship, will it not?” Bai Jingshen asked.
“I do think it will,” Alex said. “I would love to see what this world is like.”
“Before we get to sightseeing, I want to ask something,” Bladedance said. “How much of what was said back there was the truth?”
“Which part, master?” Alex asked.
“About this young beast. Was he really born from an Azure Dragon?” she asked.
“He was,” Alex said. “He is the son of a White Cat and an Azure Dragon.”
Bladedance frowned. “Is that even possible? I just don’t think two such different beasts should have been able to procreate.”
“It is almost impossible,” Bai Jingshen said. “But not if one of them transforms into a human. The human form allows many impossibilities to become possible.”
Bladedance thought for a bit. “That’s… true. And he has the White Tiger’s bloodline?”
“He does,” Alex answered. “He also has the Azure Dragon’s bloodline, but it is rather weak.”
“It’s practically non-existent is what it is,” Bai Jingshen added. “Had it not been for the unfortunate incident, he wouldn’t have had to have one half of his lineage crippled.”
“What does that mean?” Bladedance asked.
Alex quickly explained the situation regarding Pearl and how the Dragon Emperor had been so scared of Pearl’s existence that he had chosen to kill him. In order to save Pearl’s life, Pearl’s parents had to sacrifice themselves, which also included Pearl’s Azure Dragon’s bloodline.
“I see. That is a shame,” Bladedance said. “Still, it is a miracle that a beast was able to be born carrying both the bloodlines of the White Tigers and the Azure Dragon. A true miracle, is it not?”
Alex smiled proudly, looking at Pearl.
“He is.”
