Xyrath hasn’t thought about it yet. Not that he didn’t want to, but that he wasn’t certain if this method of recovering his body would even work. He had been here for a very long time, after all. ’Hum... I definitely don’t want to stay here even a second longer, that’s for sure.’

[There is another point to take into consideration,] Sister Orb said.

Roan already knew which, though. ’The Werdlem Empire’s Bubble.

[Exactly. The twelve Primordial Beasts are what keep the Bubble intact, or so the system says. If Xyrath is set free, would it affect the bubble? Perhaps we won’t need to do anything else. As soon as Xyrath is released, the Bubble might collapse. At that point, we can simply leave the Universe and get out of here.]

’That wouldn’t work,’ Rean shook his head. ’Did you forget? We have no idea where the Werdlem Empire is located out in the Great Void. Where would we go? Let alone leave the Werdlem Empire’s Range, without a Great Void Chart, we wouldn’t be able to find a single Universe within the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble itself.’

Roan agreed with Rean. ’That’s why our plan was to gain information, gain reputation, and all this shit. We will have to go to the Werdlem Universe sooner or later for that same reason. So, even if the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble collapses, we won’t be able to leave that soon. If anything, the bubble collapsing would be worse, as the Werdlem Universe would probably be closed for all outsiders as a result.’

Xyrath heard that all and could understand the twins’ group’s concerns. ’Those are all very valid points. However, there is no need for you to worry. As long as the Twelve Primordial Beasts are inside the Bubble, the Bubble won’t collapse. All you need to understand is that our location in the Bubble doesn’t matter; only being inside does.’

’Are you sure about that?’ Roan asked.

’I’m certain,’ Xyrath confirmed. ’You can take Laiana as an example. You have set her free, have you not? Did the Bubble suffer any chances?’

Rean shook his head in response. ’No, but that’s because Laiana hasn’t moved at all since we freed her soul. Let me give her a call.’

A few moments later, Laiana joined the conversation.

-I see. Don’t worry, Xyrath is correct. As long as he doesn’t leave the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble, the Bubble will keep relying on his existence to keep itself intact as always.-

’What if he decides to leave straight away?’ Kentucky was the one to ask now.

Both Xyrath and Laiana went silent for a moment. Looking at Xyrath’s expression inside the Dimensional Realm, it was pretty apparent that the option wasn’t available for them.

’Wait, you can’t leave?’ Celis finally asked the question on everyone’s minds.

’Things... are more complicated than that...’ Xyrath gave a weird answer, though.

Roan glared at Rean’s CD, annoyed. ’Laiana, did you lie to us?’

Back then, they asked what Laiana was going to do after they set her soul free. She said she wouldn’t leave until she got her revenge, but she never mentioned being trapped inside the Bubble.

-In my case, I told you back then that I would not leave until I got my revenge,- Laiana said. -That I would stay put to recover my strength. I wasn’t lying about it. I truly have no intention of leaving before I make them pay back. And I am indeed biding my time to recover my strength. However, that wasn’t the entire truth either. Xyrath is correct. Even if we want to leave, we can’t.-

Roan still didn’t like that. ’What else haven’t you told us?’

-That’s basically it,- Laiana said. -We can’t leave.-

Roan narrowed his eyes. Something didn’t feel right about her words.

Foliana thought about the Werdlem Empire’s history, the official one available in the Werdlem Network for everyone to see.

’They can’t leave...’

’The Bubble will continue to work if they are still inside...’

’The Bubble is said to be a protection against the outside forces...’

Foliana continued, an idea forming in her mind. ’According to the historical sources in the Werdlem Network, the Werdlem Empire created the Bubble to protect itself. It says that the Werdlem Empire was the biggest power in the Great Void, but it was exactly because of its strength that it had to separate itself from the rest of the Great Void.’ (Chapter 2955)

’It mentioned the risk of the various other powers of the Great Void joining hands to deal with the Werdlem Empire. Regardless of how strong the Werdlem Empire was, it couldn’t possibly defend against everyone at once. Thus, the Imperial Family decided to leave the Great Void, entering its Bubble.’

Foliana stopped for a moment, everyone paying attention to her.

-Foliana, you are thin-

’Shut up!’ Foliana cut Laiana’s words without giving a damn!

Xyrath was quite surprised, seeing Foliana acting in such a manner towards Laiana, a Primordial Beast.

Rean and the others snorted. They knew that girl way too well. To Foliana, nothing was more important than history. It was apparent she was approaching a juncture in history that might overturn everything she knew about the Werdlem Empire. Let alone Laiana, even if all the Primordial Beasts tried to speak right now, she would still tell them to shut the hell up!

’Protection from the outside, protection from the outside, protection...’

Finally, the answer took form in her mind, her eyes opening wide!

’FUCK! Protection from outside... my ASS! The Bubble is not there to protect those trying to invade the Werdlem Empire! The Bubble is there to prevent the Primordial Beasts from leaving it!’

Rean and the others were obviously shocked to hear that... except Roan. No, he didn’t know it before, but he figured it out halfway through Foliana’s words. Ultimately, it was Foliana’s influence that helped him realize this a few seconds earlier, and the fact that she arrived at the same conclusion only increased the likelihood that they were correct.

Roan’s eyes landed on Rean’s CD and on Xyrath inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. ’Are you going to deny it? If so, you’d better give it a very good reason.’

Xyrath bitterly smiled, and Laiana was utterly silent on the other side of the call. There was no need for an answer; that long moment without a response already told everything the twins’ group needed to know.

Finally, Laiana relented. -It is the truth. The Bubble works because we exist inside it, and because it was made to make sure we can’t come out.-
