Volume 10. Chapter 189: The End To The Final… ‘Fight.’ (Chapter 1090)
Chapter 189: The End To The Final... 'Fight.'
To be fair, I was being a bit dramatic. Celia is an adult, and can handle such things on her own. She didn’t ask for me to show up, comforting Celia with my presence. Instead, I did that without getting her permission, as this was something that I had to do.
Until she goes through this narration, my wife won’t know of why exactly I popped up. Unfortunately, I can already imagine that future scene, where she coaxes and gently laughs at me for being so silly. Either way, Celia has recovered fully, so Pelia isn’t able to… abuse my wife’s bad state, getting more out of this than just Pelia’s survival.
Pelia: “Considering your Status, I wrongly assumed that you were…a dominant, controlling woman. One that takes what she wants, regardless of what is being taken.” She admitted with an awkward tone and expression.
Celia: “Are you speaking from experience, perhaps, trauma from your past?” She asked in reply with a concerned tone.
Pelia: “…N-no. A few of my wives have such trauma, unfortunately. While a large, diverse bunch, Higher Beings do tend to… act very ruthless to those beneath them. Or… they did. With your power, literally everyone in existence is beneath you, Celia.” She explained with a sad sigh.
That isn’t wrong for her to say. Higher Beings got pretty moral after my wife joined the scene, especially in recent years. Cruelty is…was commonplace before that, weaker Higher Beings eaten by ones stronger than themselves; not to mention how horrid Mortals were treated.
Of those who were Higher Beings prior to becoming Celia’s wives, friends, or daughters, none of them are free from similar sins; including me, as well. We’re forever grateful that Celia doesn’t ask us about our crimes, or how horrible we were before meeting her.
Celia: “I see. Pelia, why have you taken over Heaven, and created a market of dangerous, counterfeit Soul Crystals?” She asked with a serious tone.
Pelia: “My reasons for doing so…are Higher Being tales as old as existence itself. I did it for power, Levels, wealth, control… to one day get into, and rest in Home.” She honestly answered, not hiding a thing.
Celia: “Hm…” Was all she replied with, now doing a thinking pose.
Pelia: “Celia… I understand that I have no moral high-ground, nor a good excuse for my actions. However, I do not wish for my life to end, to be forever apart from my wives.” She expressed with a slightly desperate, but calm tone.
Celia: “I do get that, Pelia.” She replied with a nod.
Pelia: “As such, my…previous offer still stands. Though, my own wives… are no longer included. Even if you treat me poorly for this, I’d rather not force them into…being your toys.” She continued, pleading lightly, fearful and unknowing of what Celia is planning to do to her.
Vulely: “Fool! Why do you think that Celia is going to kill you, Pelia? She won’t! And, you’re still offering your…everything to my wife? There is no way that Celia will do that, not in a quintillion yea…” My words (which were mentally directed into Pelia’s mind, as I had already gone back to my narration realm) were cut off, as my wife…
Celia: “Okay, Pelia; I accept your offer.” She said with a smile.
Pelia and Vulely: “(~OAO)”
