Chapter 178: The Freeze Of A Lifetime...

After Celia’s casual admission, the two froze up completely. Just like earlier, they had to figure out if the woman was joking, or if she was being serious. Either way, her Status and Celia being the origin of Soul Crystals… back to back, was quite the major hits to their mental states.

Celia: “???”

God: “D-dear, not in front of our friend, please…” She said with a red face after the deep kiss was parted.

The Devil: “Sorry, I needed to make sure that this wasn’t a dream, or rather… a nightmare. With that grounding kiss, I’m certain of this being reality, and that Celia has forced absurdity on us yet again.” She replied with a deadpan, broken sounding tone and laugh.

Such an…action would wake someone up, or prove if they’re dreaming or not, I guess. Come to think of it, from within the barrier, we can see to the outside. If so, does that mean that… those within the city can see us?

I was going to slip inside that city, but my ‘Vulely, don’t fucking do that, or you’ll regret it.’ alarm started blaring, so I’ve graciously decided against spoiling myself on what is going to happen within it. And by that, I meant… and felt that this Pelia is going to be annoying/dangerous for anyone but my wife to deal with.

God: “Celia, did you come here to find us, or was coming to the save… just an indirect thing?” She asked once she was calmed down enough.

Celia: “I had been meaning to pay you two a visit, but I’m actually here on other business. Sorry…” She answered with a remorseful tone.

The Devil: “What’s here in Heaven that you need to tend to, Celia? Even after that reset, nothing major changed with this place.” She added with a confused expression.

Celia: “Hm? Oh, there have been dangerous, fake Soul Crystals flooding the market, in every Universe and Dimension, so I have to deal with whomever is releasing the supply.” She explained in reply.

God: “Huh? From what I know, Pelia is the one making the counterfeits… but how exactly did you figure that out? Heaven has been sealed off, with highly restricted access for a long time now; so nothing should have leaked outside of it.” She said with a conflicted thinking pose.

Celia: “Oh, it was just a good guess. Pelia did her best to not let any of the purchases she made actually be traced to her; so I was just winging the investigation by coming to Heaven.” She answered with a cheeky giggle, happy that, once again, she goes unpunished for her antics.

The Devil and God: “…”

Celia: “Eat up, you two.” She suggested with a bright and helpful smile, doing yet another crazy thing.

My wife took out a massive, massive pile of Soul Crystals from her storage, just lazily throwing them onto the Heaven Sand. If Pelia is watching this unfold, I’d bet that she is absolutely, and ruthlessly pissed the fuck off right now. There are several (Immortal Being tier) fortunes worth of now resting on the ground…
