Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 10. Chapter 159: It Wasn’t Needed, But It Did Help. (Chapter 1060)

Chapter 159: It Wasn't Needed, But It Did Help.

Guanyu was still licking her (emotional) wounds, while the others went back to relaxing in this beach filler (why did it have to be an arc?!!?!?!) arc. The Cultivator was, of course, being far too hard on herself. Our wife only lost a few HP from protecting the shark, not even 10 points.

As for the sword… eh, Celia doesn’t really care much about non-living things; so the loss of it wasn’t that big of a deal to her. In secret (not to me, though, due to my job), Celia has been trying to figure out how to forge weapons with Pure Mana, or at least, weapons enhanced with Pure Mana. Ah, right… Back to the shark-boy!

Xinobouk: “…”

Splash!

Everyone: “(~OAO)”

Mana and Divinity swirled around Xinobouk, Guanyu (but not Celia) prepared to defend from the shark’s attack… but none came. Instead, the shark, wanting to survive by any means, knowing full well that he wouldn’t win in a fight, decided to… um…

Well, Xinobouk started glowing, quickly condensing on himself, you see. When the light show ended, the large form diminished into that of a… blond, young, teenage-looking girl. Staying in the air until her eyes opened, the girl then fell into the ocean, and… started drowning, quickly vanishing in the depths within minutes.

Ten Minutes Later.

Xinolily: “…”

Celia: “…”

Xinolily: “T-thank you for saving me, C-Celia.” She said with a forced, awkward and embarrassed smile.

Celia: “Why did you almost drown? You were a shark just minutes ago, Xinobou…” She was cut off.

Xinolily: “My name is ‘Xinolily’ now, Celia. And I’ve never used a Human form before…” She replied with a sigh.

Celia: “I see, I get that, yeah. But how come you changed your sex? The last time I Inspected your Status, I swear that you were male…” She asked with a curious tone, as she checked the girl all over for anything wrong.

Xinolily: “I…didn’t intend to do that.” She admitted with a red face.

Since the (now) new girl was obviously going to be part of our group, I, of course, cannot peep into their thoughts. Though, it was pretty blatant that Xinolily was enjoying this care quite a lot.

Celia was always up for another daughter; do please forgive her, Runeth. As such, now on the sand, a thick blanket beneath them, Celia had examined the girl’s body, then dressed her up in very cute, but fitting attire. While doing up Xinolily’s hair into twin tails, Celia was also making sure that there wasn’t any issues with the girl’s Soul.

Vulely: “Hm? I honestly assumed that you did this on purpose, all to survive. I even said so in my narration!” I expressed with a tone of disbelief.

Xinolily: “N-no, I was merely trying to get into a smaller form, so that I was less threatening. Maybe I messed something up in doing so? Although… this form doesn’t feel… wrong.” She replied with a thinking pose.

Celia: “Such a drastic change… Is your Status okay, Xinolily?” She asked with a concerned tone.

Xinolily: “( o_o)”
