Volume 10. Chapter 154: Not Our Greatest Moment… (Chapter 1055)
Chapter 154: Not Our Greatest Moment...
The smell of burnt food (which Celia ignored like a pro) was prominently whisping through the dining room, as the kitchen was situated just next door to it. We anxiously waited for Celia to eat; consume something we made her, it being a barely serviceable plate of steak and mashed potato.
Celia: “Mm, tasty.” She said with a bright smile, after taking a bite of steak.
The harem: “…”
Celia: “?”
Thankfully, Celia was being honest about enjoying the meal that we made for her. Weirdly… I say we, instead of us making our wife many different, individual meals, because… we could only manage to cook one dish. Celia cooks a fuck-ton of food every so often, which we eat until the next batch is made; typically way before we get close to finishing the ones in our Storages.
And… somewhere along the lines, each of us completely forgot how to cook… anything! Even the younger ones of the group… failed to retain any knowledge of cooking. Celia constantly provides us with meals of always staggering quality and taste; so… there is no so, aaaaaa!!!!
Bite!
Guanyu: “Hard, overcooked and undercooked in random areas. The potatoes are also a sorry sight, far worse than the meat brick. Celia, how can you even stomach this…food? A peasant would consider it of low quality.” She asked with a raised eyebrow, tasting the meal, finding it horrid as it truly was.
Celia: “Hm? It’s the thought that counts, Guanyu. And I do find it tasty, in a unique way.” She replied with a nonchalant, honest tone.
Vulely: “…How unique, or in what way, Celia?” I asked with a deeply curious tone.
Celia: “It reminds me of teaching those students of mine how to cook. Back in the apocalypse, I mean. I was a brick wall at that time, but I must have accidentally seduced several of my students by accident; being their mother, etc…” She answered with a reminiscing expression, smiling a bit.
Vulely and the (Not Guanyu, though) harem: “…”
Ah, fuck; she just hit us where it hurt the most, while having no intentions of insulting her wives, even slightly!… Shit… Can you, random reader/listener, likely a Mortal, truly understand our current, deep pain right now? Could you?!
No, I doubt it. Celia is extremely our junior, there is no way to sidestep that fact. Said younger woman, our wife, is the sole cook of the estate, the family, and even for the rest of the group. And meanwhile, we, the elders failed to make 100 easy meals, taking hours to do so, ending with this shitty steak. The embarrassment is on an entire, new level, a new special horror that Celia forced upon us without intending on doing so!!!
Guanyu: “Celia, please teach me your cooking ways, and I shall then correct the failures of the other wives.” She requested with a stern tone.
Celia: “Sure, but it isn’t a requirement that you or them know how to cook. I love seeing everyone enjoying my food; just the same as I do with dressing you all up in attire of my designs.” She replied with an agreeing nod.
Lia: “Wait… is it even possible to reach your level of cooking skill?” She asked with an uncertain tone.
Celia: “No.” She instantly denied, nonchalant and honest as can be.
Every(including Guanyu this time)one: “(~OAO)”
