Chapter 131: Resting Under (Many) Dead Trees.
Currently, since her Soul was damaged, Celia was still sleeping away. Unfortunately, we now have actual confirmation that her Status is bugged! How come? Simple; Celia’s HP Stat was still showing as “MAX,” even though she was clearly injured enough to be unconscious.
If this happened outside of Guanyu’s Soul Realm, Celia wouldn’t be so wounded. All three of us are very, very vulnerable in this place, you see. We do technically have our bodies present, but we’re basically 99% Soul, the physical forms barely there, faded to an absurd degree. Guanyu has it far better, as this is her realm; with Celia and I… having a very weak connection to our bodies on the outside.
Vulely: “Should we be… just casually resting?” I asked with an unsure tone.
Guanyu: “The star of the show is sleeping, so we must not carry on without her.” She replied with an oddly scolding tone.
Vulely: “Hey, I didn’t mean that we should do protagonist things in Celia’s stead! Rather, what if the enemy is still around?” I clarified with a light pout.
Guanyu: “That’s correct, they’re very much still present.” She nonchalantly answered, not even looking my way once, solely focused on the cutely resting girl in her lap.
Vulely: “(O.o)”
Unfortunately, Guanyu’s reply was definitely serious, thus, causing me to go back to being on edge. Speaking of edge(ing)… if this was a moment between Celia, me, and some other wife, I’d be gently fighting over them for my turn.
By turn, I am referring to the lap pillow. These days, Celia doesn’t get hurt at all, let alone bad enough to be in a comatose state like this. Either way, it is something that we sister wives deeply enjoy; so we ask Celia to let us do this to her all the time. Of course, with Guanyu’s position… I wasn’t willing to anger her by asking for my turn. I’ll admit to being silly sometimes, but never intentionally suicidal…
Guanyu: “Aren’t you going to ask that question again? The one about my mental state, that is.” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Vulely: “…You didn’t bring it up until now, Guanyu. I assumed that you didn’t wish to speak about it…” I replied with an awkward tone.
Guanyu: “Ah, I was too focused on Celia to think about what you said earlier. The explosion was quite distracting itself, not to mention our injured wife…” She explained with her own awkward tone.
Vulely: “If you want, we can talk about it when this is over. There is apparently an enemy still living, after all…” I suggested in reply with a serious tone.
Guanyu: “We’re lazing around, purely because the enemy is weak; having not a single other trick up their sleeve. As for your original, unanswered question…” She clarified with a giggle, before getting serious, not finishing her sentence.
Vulely: “…Go on.” I urged.
