Chapter 129: Not What We Thought Would Happen.
Celia: “…”
Vulely: “…”
Guanyu: “Why have you two grabbed onto me so tightly… in the minutes that it took for me to process those shards?” She asked with a deeply confused expression.
Weirdly, the woman made no efforts to shake us off, or try to kill herself in a fit of grief. Rather, she merely… starting to rub Celia’s head. Once I got a few head pats as well, I let go of the Cultivator, since I wasn’t foolish enough to further interrupt Celia and Guanyu’s moment.
Kiss!
After a tender kiss (to the forehead, as Guanyu wasn’t keen on doing anything sexual with Celia’s current form), Guanyu pampered her wife in several ways. Mostly, it was in the ways that a spouse who did something bad is supposed to ask for forgiveness; no words being exchanged between the two at all.
They Did This For Two (Eh, Better This Than One Of Us Dying, I Guess) Hours!
Vulely: “Guanyu, your fakes…” I was cut off.
Guanyu: “They weren’t false beings, Vulely. Those two were me; to be specific, around 15% of my Soul each. For them to properly function, I had to not be awake.” She explained with a sigh.
Celia: “You were already within the Golden Core when I arrived here, Guanyu. How long have those two been… controlling you?” She asked with a serious thinking pose.
Guanyu: “Outwardly? I was always the one in control, not them. They could only affect the Soul Realm, you see.” She answered with a confident smile.
Figuring out the origin of the dolls… is our new priority, one which we have to complete before leaving Guanyu’s Soul Realm. As for when they appeared within this heavily protected sanctum…
Guanyu is under the assumption that someone had set up this trap for her… shortly before the Cultivator met Celia. In that severely weakened, nearly dead state, Guanyu was very vulnerable to such tricks.
Unfortunately for whomever did this to her, Guanyu hadn’t ventured into her Soul Realm until she was willing to let Celia in. Due to that, whatever the plan was… couldn’t work, as, if not me, someone else would come and save Celia, thus, saving Guanyu in return. But, we should go back to the most important topic on my mind…
Guanyu: “Hm? I will not deny being suicidal.” She nonchalantly answered my heavy question.
Vulely: “…I don’t know if you admitting that is… better than if you kept it a secret.” I said with a deep groan.
Celia: “Suicide and committing suicide are two different things, Vulely. For instance, my sister let herself die. Though, in her case… death was the best option.” She added with a solemn tone.
Guanyu: “Fortunately, for me, death is not the correct choice.” She expressed with a light tone.
Vulely: “At the very least, the yandere version of you was very serious about killing herself. Can we truly believe that you won’t do it, Guanyu?” I asked with an uncertain, worried tone.
Guanyu: “I…” Her sentence couldn’t come out, because…
Boom!
