Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 10. Chapter 128: Horrifying Scene… (Chapter 1029)

Chapter 128: Horrifying Scene...

A doll or not, the fake was still made out of flesh, as well as looked like one of our loved ones. So… witnessing Guanyu rip out organ after organ from her clone, was… not a good sight for either of us to see in full.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t a situation where we could just close off ourselves from these horrors. Rather, even without a heart, the doll still functioned; trying to break free of Guanyu’s hold. It was not until the brain had been destroyed… that our enemy was finally defeated.

Vulely: “Is this… was this thing actually a creation of your Soul Realm, Guanyu?” I asked with a curious tone, as the Cultivator wordlessly looked down at the mangled corpse, a look of disgust on her face.

Guanyu: “I do not wish to simply rinse my hands of fault for what happened to Celia, regardless of what this fake did to her… However, it is quite clear that it isn’t of my make.” She mused with a thinking upset thinking pose.

Celia: “Wait… but I…” She said with an expression of pure remorse.

Guanyu: “Worry not, my love.” She said with a smile, pressing one of her fingers on Celia’s lips, while also…

Whoosh!

Raising her free hand, two light shards emerged from the defeated, dead doll’s body. Despite not having much faith in her Soul manipulation skills, the Cultivator is messing with Souls again. Though, those are Soul Shards, not a complete Soul… Whose Soul are these two pieces from?

Guanyu: “Ah… these belong to me. Celia, I am sure that you engaged in sexual acts with this false Guanyu. Normally, that would be considered cheating… Thankfully, it was still me, in a way.” She explained with a relieved tone, Celia, though not yet saying anything, also showing a similarly relaxed expression.

Celia: “…”

Vulely: “Guanyu, if you take those pieces back into your Soul… will the memories from them be given to you?” I asked with a serious tone, noticing my wife’s newly emerged fears, which caused her mood to shift back to being negative.

Guanyu: “Hm? Well… that should be the case. Mortals are forced to use their brains for mere, poorly reconstructed recollections of events; while Cultivators and Higher Beings have memories ingrained within their very Souls.” She answered with another thinking pose.

Vulely and Celia: “…”

Guanyu: “With memories from a Soul, one can even feel emotions, and the physical sensations that occurred in said lost memories. Truly, both Cultivators and Higher Beings have access to a far better method of memory retention. Now then, if you two would please wait a moment… It shouldn’t take longer than a minute or two for me to process the doll’s memories.” She continued, seeming to like giving lectures; before then placing the Soul Shards into herself.

Grab!

Guanyu was her own woman, and while extremely partial to Celia… she would still do this, even if we asked the Cultivator to just forget about regaining the lost memories. And… we couldn’t act fast enough to stop her from absorbing those Soul Shards. Either way, independently, Celia and I sprung into action, taking hold of her arms; hoping that we’ll have the strength to prevent Guanyu’s suicide…
