Volume 10. Chapter 106: Abusing A Stupidly Powerful Ability, Purely For Matchmaking… (Chapter 1007)
Chapter 106: Abusing A Stupidly Powerful Ability, Purely For Matchmaking...
Both June and I assumed that Celia… was just going to use her luck for this situation. Despite creating many forever marriages, it never really looked like Celia tried that hard at getting people together.
Celia: “Oh, come on; it isn’t so absurd. Besides… I have yet to use even one of these new methods of mine!” She expressed with even further pleading.
June: “I mean, I guess that you…” I cut her off here.
Vulely: “Hold on… Celia, do you mean that… you aren’t just winging it? Did you waste precious time that you could have devoted to learning more and more about Pure Mana… into methods of matchmaking?!” I asked with a deeply concerned tone and expression.
Celia: “Zelia, Nemu, and Eternanel are more than enough to study Pure Mana. Or rather… they begged me to let them do the research and discovery. Something about too many things be attributed to me.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Vulely: “…”
Celia: “As for your question, yes, I did do that. Sorry, but I think that I’ve relapsed, and fallen back into my matchmaking ways… Not that I regret it, hehe.” She nonchalantly added with a giggle.
June and Vulely: “(- _ -)”
Not seeming to notice that she broke us in yet another unique way, Celia then started up one of (after this, we made her swear to only use this method, and never attempt nor reveal the other ones) her matchmaking methods. In awe, we witnessed how Celia did this, and felt insane…
In truth, they had been just randomly exploring around, hoping luck would win out, thus, June getting a wife. Which is why Celia is doing this right now, being impatient, or more likely, not willing to let her daughter be without a spouse for any longer.
Similar to the strings that once bound Celia and others, a thread appeared attached to June’s Soul. The material… was that of Pure Mana, which Celia spun and manipulated like it was nothing, culminating into a spell, a guide for us to find someone.
June: “…”
Vulely: “…”
Everyone else: “…”
Celia: “?”
My wife did this in the middle of the road of a decent sized town, vocalizing exactly what she was doing. You see… using Pure Mana wasn’t the same as one would do with normal Mana. Watching this… was like we were all primitive cave people, being handed a modern smartphone and access to the internet!…
Due To Our Strength, We Didn’t Have To Run, Though We Did Causally Fly Away From That Town.
Vulely: “Will she agree to abandon her life here, and go with our daughter?” I ask with an unsure tone.
Celia: “If not, June can just stay here until her wife is ready to leave. Either way, June is an adult, and can return home when she wishes. We should leave them alone.” She replied with an unbothered shrug, already ready to leave.
She then grabbed my hand, and took us home. I was silent as could be. Not because of what happened with our daughter. Rather… my silence was from how easy it was for June and her new wife to get together.
Upon meeting, their love was instant, like they had been married for thousands of years. Clearly, Celia’s Thread of Love, as she so poorly named this Pure Mana Spell, was truly the greatest Magic in existence for finding your destined lover. This begs a question, one that I am very much hesitating to ask… would Celia’s thread connect to us, to me? June had just one… but what of Celia? Are we… actually her destined wives?…
