Chapter 3973 - Skyeater Taotie
Chapter 3973 - Skyeater Taotie
Tianming took a deep breath, grit his teeth, and looked behind him. "I know you’ve been observing me! You should know much about me by now! If you're willing to help me here, I will owe you! When I obtain enough power to change things, I’ll rebuild the Upper Star Ruin! In the future, there will only be one Flameyellow! Void and divine will be one and the same!"
The watchers had hidden themselves really deep, to the point that not even Yin Chen could detect them. However, Bai Ling and Bai Ye had spotted them tailing Tianming from the moment he’d left that odd space. He had figured that they were trying to observe how fast he would master the cosmic art and to learn more about his secrets. They were his only bet!
He had guessed that they wanted to return to the Upper Star Ruin, and, more importantly, into the fold of the flameyellow divinities. The Ancient Flameyellow Ruins were located in a world of swamps. Though there was much energy to be used, it simply couldn't compare to the beauty of the astralscape. Conditions there were no different than a prison. Nobody would stay there if they had a choice, yet the powerful flameyellow divinities no longer existed in the Upper Star Ruin. Perhaps all they needed was a figure that could liberate them from their shackles, and Tianming could be the one!
"I’ll keep to my word! If I don't, may the heavens smite me!" Tianming said, glaring in the direction of the door that held the last of his hopes. The wonderians and their hostages didn't know who Tianming was speaking to, nor could they clearly hear him. But right as he finished speaking, an explosion rocked their surroundings!
The wonderians looked down and saw that all their tracing rings had exploded at the same time. The feeds of the spectators in Skyfiend Hall and Saturatia-49 went completely dark, much to the seniors' surprise. The wonderians were also puzzled.
"How’s that possible...?" Shiming Yisheng and Yishi looked at their fingers before exchanging glances, their brows furrowed. Then a two-thousand-meter-tall door opened right before their eyes, revealing a vortex of two parts black, one part gold, the inverse of what was typical of flameyellow divinities. It was perhaps one way the flameyellow voidkin differed from their counterparts.
"This door...." All the wonderians looked at it in puzzlement.
The next moment, blinding light poured out of the doorway as a thousand-meter-tall girl emerged from within, clad in a galaxy-black dress. The astrons in her body and hair let out so much black light that the divine wonders around the battlefield visibly dimmed.
"She's here!" Tianming knew that he had made the right bet when he saw the little sister of that odd, feral man. Her lifebound beast also emerged from her lifebound space, descending upon them like fiendish doom. It was a gigantic beast covered in black scales, sporting an incredibly sharp horn. It had a fierce visage adorned with sharp fangs that matched the claws on its four powerful limbs. Its tail stretched a thousand meters long and there was even a bloody mouth near its chest, out of which a thousand-meter-long tongue stretched.
"A Taotie?" Dragons and phoenixes were considered auspicious beasts, typically associated with the lifebound beasts of flameyellow divinities. But a taotie was the opposite of such beasts of fortune! This particular skyeater taotie appeared to have among the most peak bloodlines among other lifebound beasts, but that was far from all.
It had eighty-nine beastfaces, an unimaginable number! Coupled with the taotie itself, that made it a 90-crest beast! It marked the very apex class of lifebound beasts since antiquity. Tianming had never seen anyone among the Eightpart Pantheons with such talent. Even the most talented Princess You You only had sevenfold hell-rings! Only the most elite of elites stood a chance of developing nine folds, and even that wasn't a guarantee!
The girl emerged after all the tracing rings exploded, causing an aura of terror to descend on every single wonderian, including the seventh-level Shiming Shengshi. For someone to reach a thousand meters tall meant they had crossed the first phase of cosmic godhood into the second, at least six levels stronger than Shiming Shengshi.
"A 90-crest beast!" Shiming Shengshi had been to an imperial-class world before and knew that people with that tier of bloodline were meant to be worshiped. One had to prostrate themselves before them! Though the status of those from the royal lineage was high, those of the imperial lineage had even higher status.
"How’d that rogue find such a powerful backer?!" They had considered Tianming nothing more than some native of the Ancestral World, so they’d never imagined that something like this would come to pass.
"It's alright!" Shiming Yishi said, suddenly recalling something. "We have the heavenly punishment protection seeds! If she attacks us, the Heavenly Dao will smite her!"
As those words were uttered, the girl in black waved her skyeater taotie to leap toward Shiming Yishi, piercing through his chest with the huge horn on its head.
"Huh?" Shiming Yishi's whole body shook as he looked down at his crumbling body. Then the mouth at the taotie’s chest opened and swallowed him whole! Shiming Yishi's three lifetimes celestial cycle wonder immediately gathered around her body and formed six layers of discs, arming her to the teeth with defenses that were superior to high-imperial-class artifacts, yet it had been completely punctured and began demanifesting. Her body was as soft as tofu before the absolute beast. She scattered into a mist, letting out a howl that stunned all the other wonderians.
"What in the...." Shiming Yisheng paled. He didn't even think about saving anyone else and immediately turned tail to run, as did the other wonderians.
Then the girl coldly pointed at them and said, "Kill them all."
