Apocalypse Supermarket: My Four Overpowered Husbands Wontstop Hoarding

Chapter 14 Rescue a F class

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Rescue a F class

As Luna tried to think of a way forward, she suddenly remembered something important.

She had a system.

And more importantly, she had an entire supermarket space.

Why shouldn’t she make proper use of it?

She wasn’t supposed to be moving out yet, but in a situation where she hadn’t scavenged enough supplies, what choice did she have? Stay inside until all her food ran out? Wait around until she starved to death?

Waiting meant death.

The rain might eventually stop...

But the flooding definitely wouldn’t.

"Okay, hi there. Can you help me find the men I’m looking for? I can’t remember all their names, but I think one of them is Kia Blackwood. The rest... I’m not sure."

A mechanical chime echoed through the room.

Moments later, a beautiful translucent panel appeared before her eyes. One after another, several handsome faces appeared across the glowing screen.

Luna blinked.

"How did you find them?"

The system answered almost immediately.

[Your memory was scanned. We tracked the images stored in your mind and reconstructed the most likely matches. I can also locate them.]

Luna’s eyes shone brightly with excitement.

There it was.

Now she could find them one by one, recruit them before anyone else did, help them grow into their future potential while strengthening herself in the process.

"Now... how do I get to them?"

She walked toward the window and looked outside.

The sight made her expression darken.

The floodwater had risen again.

It stretched endlessly toward the horizon, swallowing roads, buildings and anything that once stood proudly above ground. The current was stronger now, the waves crashing violently against rooftops.

Almost the entire city had disappeared beneath the water.

"Do you think he’ll still be alive? He’s only an F-Class."

She waited for the system to answer.

Nothing.

Silence.

Whenever the system stayed quiet, it usually meant one thing.

It couldn’t give her a definite answer.

Luna sighed softly.

Surviving a flood of this magnitude was already close to impossible. Add mutated sea creatures into the equation and even awakened humans weren’t guaranteed survival.

Still...

She had to find them.

Not just to save them.

But for her own survival as well.

"Fine. Start searching. I’m sure with enough resources you can track every one of them."

She was just about to head upstairs when something else caught her attention.

A section on the floating panel.

Rewards.

Luna paused.

"Wait... aren’t those my rewards? Shouldn’t I claim them first?"

[The choice is yours. Rewards can be claimed at any time.]

Curiosity won.

She enlarged the panel and began browsing through it.

Almost immediately, a golden coin icon appeared before her.

Then a number.

100,000 Apocalypse Coins.

Her mouth slowly fell open.

One hundred thousand.

She had earned all of it from continuously stockpiling supplies before the apocalypse began.

Luna couldn’t stop smiling.

Unlike ordinary money, Apocalypse Coins could purchase exclusive items unavailable anywhere else. Things ordinary supermarkets would never sell.

Now that she had a mission, this couldn’t have come at a better time.

She swiped again.

A new option appeared.

Advanced Supermarket Authority Granted.

The moment she tapped it, her surroundings distorted.

Her feet disappeared first.

Then her body.

Everything dissolved into countless streams of light before the scenery changed completely.

When Luna opened her eyes again, she found herself standing inside another section of the supermarket.

Her pupils contracted.

"This..."

She had never seen this place before.

Massive shelves stretched endlessly into the distance.

Rows upon rows of military equipment.

Advanced machinery.

Industrial tools.

Weapons.

Protective gear.

Heavy equipment that ordinary civilians weren’t supposed to own.

Everything sat safely behind thick transparent glass that looked almost indestructible.

A glowing price floated beneath every item.

Payment first.

Collection afterward.

"Okay..."

"This is actually fun."

Now her brain began working even faster.

The system would handle locating the men.

Her biggest problem now was figuring out how to reach them while surviving whatever monsters lurked beneath the flooded world.

As she continued browsing, something enormous caught her attention.

An amphibious vehicle.

Its sleek black body looked like something designed decades ahead of modern technology. Every window was completely sealed, and according to the description, it possessed adaptive camouflage capable of rendering it almost invisible while underwater.

Luna’s lips slowly curved upward.

Perfect.

With this, she could travel beneath the water without attracting unnecessary attention.

And thanks to the countless missions she’d completed as a mercenary in her previous life, driving difficult vehicles wasn’t something she worried about.

She immediately checked the price.

30,000 Apocalypse Coins.

Her smile froze.

"...Fuck."

That was almost one-third of everything she had.

"And this stupid supermarket doesn’t even accept real money."

No wonder the system kept encouraging her to complete missions.

Without Apocalypse Coins, none of these exclusive items could ever be purchased.

After a brief internal struggle...

She pressed Confirm.

The shelf glowed brilliantly.

Payment Successful.

With a satisfying click, the protective glass slid open.

The beautiful vehicle slowly rolled forward as if presenting itself to its new owner.

Luna couldn’t hide her grin.

"Oh baby..."

"You’re absolutely beautiful."

She continued searching the shelves, collecting climbing ropes, waterproof hooks, emergency flares, thermal blankets and several other survival tools she knew would eventually come in handy.

Originally, she had planned to travel across rooftops.

But after thinking about it again...

That plan was impossible.

Her house sat almost in the center of an island.

No matter which direction she chose...

She would eventually have to cross open water.

After storing everything inside her inventory, she dismissed the vehicle with a thought.

It instantly disappeared, returning to her system storage.

Satisfied, Luna headed back toward the house.

"I want enough snacks. Pack hot meals too. The kind that can stay warm."

"Yes, Miss."

Nicole quickly gathered several food containers while the others hurried to prepare everything she requested.

Then Luna did something that instantly made every worker’s face change.

She locked every single one of them inside the workroom.

Food and water were placed neatly beside them.

She simply didn’t trust them.

Not enough.

People became monsters when survival was involved.

If they weren’t planning something already...

They eventually would.

"So make sure all the work is finished before I return."

Her cold gaze landed on Nicole.

"You’ll take care of the house."

She stepped closer.

"And Nicole..."

"If you even think about betraying me..."

"The sharks will look merciful compared to what I’ll do."

Nicole’s face immediately turned pale.

Luna didn’t wait for a reply.

She walked outside.

Nicole couldn’t help following behind.

"My Lady, please!"

"It’s dangerous! How are you even planning to leave?"

Her words stopped midway.

Parked outside the front porch was an enormous futuristic vehicle.

Her eyes widened.

When...

How...

How did something this massive suddenly appear here?

Before Luna could answer, her phone suddenly rang.

She glanced at the screen.

Bonnie.

Surprisingly...

The phone network still hadn’t completely collapsed.

Luna stared at the name for a brief second before declining the call.

Anything involving Bonnie no longer mattered.

The apocalypse had already begun.

Time was worth more than friendships.

She climbed into the driver’s seat.

Right before Nicole’s shocked eyes...

The vehicle disappeared.

Nicole gasped.

She had no idea Luna was still sitting directly in front of her.

The camouflage had activated.

Seconds later, the vehicle plunged into the floodwater.

Instead of sinking uncontrollably, it adjusted itself almost immediately before gliding smoothly beneath the surface.

It practically drove itself.

All Luna had to do was select the destination while the onboard system handled the rest.

At almost the same time, her own system finished locating one of the men.

Fortunately...

He was nearby.

Her destination appeared on the display.

A warehouse.

It had once been filled with supplies.

Now...

She doubted much of it remained standing.

The deeper she traveled, the darker the water became.

Then she saw them.

Massive creatures.

Far larger than ordinary sharks.

Some had countless eyes.

Others possessed strange fins lined with jagged spikes.

Even Luna couldn’t stop herself from swallowing nervously.

Fortunately, the camouflage worked.

Several monsters paused.

They looked around suspiciously.

Yet none of them found her.

"Drive faster."

The vehicle accelerated.

Soon they reached shallower waters.

The difference wasn’t significant.

Everywhere was still flooded.

Corpses floated silently across the surface.

Some had frozen to death.

Others had been ripped apart by creatures beneath the water.

Only then did Luna notice another terrifying detail.

Acid rain.

It continued falling relentlessly.

She frowned.

"No way..."

"He couldn’t have survived this."

"He’s only an F-Class."

Before she could finish thinking—

The system spoke.

[Target located. Rooftop of the warehouse.]

Luna’s eyes widened.

Alive.

He was actually alive.

Without hesitation, she sped toward the building.

What she didn’t notice...

Was that somewhere along the journey...

The camouflage had deactivated.

The vehicle was visible again.

Far beneath the water...

A gigantic mutated whale slowly opened one enormous eye.

It had already locked onto its prey.

From the distance, Luna finally spotted him.

A young man sat beneath a small section of roofing connected to the warehouse.

It barely shielded him from the deadly acid rain.

Even from this distance...

She could tell he was shivering from the cold.

She honestly didn’t enjoy playing the hero.

Running around rescuing strangers wasn’t exactly her hobby.

But this time...

She didn’t have a choice.

Recruit them...

Or die later.

"Hey!"

"I’m here to rescue you!"

She shouted.

Unfortunately...

Her voice never reached the rooftop.

Instead...

Something else heard it.

BOOM!!

A monstrous impact slammed into the side of the amphibious vehicle.

The entire machine spun violently across the water before crashing into a submerged concrete pillar.

Everything inside shook violently.

The warning alarms instantly erupted.

[Danger! Danger! Mutated Whale detected.]

[Ten mutated sharks approaching.]

Luna’s heart skipped.

She immediately tried steering away.

But the creatures surrounded the vehicle from every direction.

It was almost as if they could sense exactly where she was.

"Oh shit..."

"The camouflage turned off."

She hurriedly looked upward.

Her sudden appearance had finally caught the man’s attention.

Despite looking exhausted, soaked and covered in injuries...

The young man was unbelievably handsome.

Even in such miserable conditions...

He looked like a prince who had walked straight out of a fantasy novel.

Luna rolled her eyes.

"Could you stop standing there looking useless and get your ass over here!"

"Let’s get the fuck out of here!"
