Shi Lang settled in the Asura Hall, and after talking to Xu Jun he learned that the young man had tried to make an array that could project his comprehension of the wood element technique that he practiced, but it turned out that the array modulated the spiritual energy around the establishment which in turn nourished the parched land and made it bloom with green.

Shi Tao wanted to find out who made the array that could hold such a drastic impact and her initiative scared the young disciples and they decided to not say even a syllable regarding the issue, and she was about to beat them up when Shi Lang came over.

At the moment, Shi Lang was meeting with all the elders and telling them about the changes at home. Maybe for him it had been a month, but for them it had been a couple of hours. The young man took a deep breath and after the meeting he came to his room.

He found Amelia frowning and asked, “What happened?”

Amelia replied, “I was thinking if we should try to conceive a child.”

Shi Lang was surprised and approached her quickly when Amelia smacked his extended hand away and replied, “Don’t think too much, the suggestion has to be put to the side.”

Shi Lang immediately felt as if someone his flooded his garden of spring, and the young man asked, “Why? Why do we need to put it to the side?”

Amelia sighed and replied, “I have four kids already, also even if we try, the gap between our realms is too much. We would not be able to get any results. If I cultivate to your level, then only can we have any hopes. However, the situation is too urgent for that. You also need to walk ahead on the path of the sage. If you hold back than the fate of many other people would be effected.”

Shi Lang clenched his fist and Amelia chuckled as she said, “You don’t have to worry, it won’t be that late. I have a elemental physique now, so my way to the sage realm would be shorter than anyone else’s.”

Shi Lang watched his wife walk out of the room with a spring in his step. She enjoyed teasing him. After she left the room, Shi Lang went to the meditation room, and sat down to meditate about his options to breakthrough the sage realm.

Shi Lang began to think what was a sage, and what was so different about them that everyone wanted to reach that realm? The first reason would be strength. In this myriad world the only thing that mattered more than anything else was strength. Why did the human race need the knowledge to get through the sage level?

The simple fact was because humans were weaker than the rest of the races. All the races had a special skill or bloodline ability, similar to Shi Lang’s ability to sense, many races had these skills. The cosmic phantoms that Shi Lang faced in the past had the ability to get stronger by simply staying in the dark and cold places of their world.

They didn’t have any cultivation technique, but the simple fact that they could get stronger by staying in their realm and stay silent, this was scary enough for many races.

Humans were akin to the product made from recycling many other races and their specialties. The young man took a deep breath and thought, ‘Humans are truly trash, so now we have a few ways to enhance the quality of the trash. Break it and make it, body refining, but it would consume too many resources and lives.

The young man had thought of this and that was why he was trying this. The seal on his head could be seen as the seed of a sage. Now he was using the seed and the powers that he had accumulated to make a foundation. A golden clock appeared under his body as he sat there with peace. The clock was still half complete and thus he had no intention to wake up, but he let out a drop of his blood, and his clone went out of the room.

Amelia descended on the ground, and her face was radiating with a glow of profound powers. She had stepped in the realm of Dao, and was now a Dao Soldier, she saw Shi Lang’s clone who said, “I would like to call for a meeting with the elders.”

Amelia looked at Hao Mei who used her communicator to send out a message. Shi Tao was in seclusion to break through the realm of Dao Empress as well, and so, Hao Mei became the acting leader. She called for the elders and the meeting was set up.

Shi Lang’s clone stood behind the leader chair, and he said, “During the seclusion this time, the path of Sage realm was researched and comprehended a little further. From the information that we inherited from the seniors in the Dao Plain, we have found that the Sage realm is divided in three realms, one of them is the Seed realm, where you comprehend the principles of Dao and accumulate them into a seal, like this.”

He raised his hand and showed everyone a black spot on his left palm, and said, “This is my seed from the comprehension of time laws. The more power you accumulate, the better the foundation you would get in the future. However, this varies depending on the common and rarity of your comprehended laws.

Finally, you condense a foundation by using the power and comprehensions of the law you comprehended. Like this.”

An illusory clock of spiritual energy appeared behind Shi Lang, and the clone said, “This is the manifestation of the foundation. It is condensed from the energy inside the seed. Mine is a clock, yours can be a dragon or a phoenix. Whatever you relate to the most would be the most suitable foundation avatar for you.”

Tian Long asked, “Why is it a clock for you then? Why not something like a human or a sword?”

Hao Mei asked, “What does that mean?”

Shi Lang replied, “It means that the seed, the foundation and the tree realm are just the entry level preparation to the passage in the higher realm. That is when we step on to the path of a sage. First we need to get through these realms, and the finally test is the Sage Tribulation. After you cross the tribulation, that is when you enter the realm of Minor Sage, Earth Sage, and later on True Sage.

The journey is not easy, but we have to stride anyhow. So, I suggest that everyone enters seclusion in turns, leave behind a few experts from all the big forces to maintain peace, and monitoring the Dao Battlefield.”

The people discussed the plan and they agreed to the suggestion. Hao Mei said, “I will send the message to all the forces of all the continents, the defense units that we have manufactured in the battle factories will be delivered to the people of the Yang family and they will handle the distribution. However, these machines will not be given to the people for personal use.”

Shi Lang nodded and replied, “Good, that is what we need. With that settled, I will head back as my foundation has reached a crucial stage.”

The clone vanished and Tian Long said, “I wonder when he can step into the sage realm.”

Tong Bai asked, “Why?”

Tian Long sighed and said, “Whether I say it or not, this guy is a monster, and with him leading the way, the information about the tribulation would be public to all of us.”

Everyone smiled at him but they didn’t say anything else.
