Chapter 1280: Secret realm inside of the Heavenly Demon Sect

After following the Poison King for a bit, he suddenly turned around to look at Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan.

The two of them were surprised to see him turn around like this, but they didn’t say anything as they waited for him to say something.

After a moment of silence, he finally said, “When did you obtain that power?”

“A while ago.” Lin Fan said without actually explaining anything.

The Poison King gave a nod before saying, “Don’t use it that easily. Use it when you need to, but try not to use it in front of those from the righteous sects.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling confused when he heard this.

He had already heard about this power from Ye Qing Huan and knew that it was called Void, but he didn’t think that it would be that special. After all, it seemed like a normal kind of power in the cultivation world.

Or at least as far as he knew.

The Poison King could see the way that Lin Fan looked at him, so he said, “It’s a power that’s considered evil. It’s normal if you’re from the demonic sect, but it’s a power that hasn’t appeared in a long time. To be honest, I don’t even know how the righteous sects will react to it if they were to see it. That’s why it’s best if you don’t use it right now.”

Lin Fan knew that the Poison King wouldn’t say this without any reason, so he gave a slight nod in the end.

However, there were some that didn’t have the same appearance as the others.

These ones weren’t as obviously poisonous, but some of them were actually more poisonous than the ones that looked poisonous. Especially those that seemed like they were completely harmless and even released spiritual energy like elixirs.

Some people might be enticed to swallow these plants when they saw them since they would think that they were elixirs, but the only thing that would happen is that they would get poisoned.

With the Appraisal Eyes, Lin Fan could see just how poisonous these plants were.

“What’s going on?” The Poison King asked in a confused voice.

It seemed that he didn’t even know what was happening even though this was his place.

“I just came for a little visit and everyone is so busy. It seems like I really shouldn’t have come.’

Bitter looks appeared on all three of their faces when they heard this.

After all, all three of them recognized this voice.

The Poison King was the one that spoke as he said, “Sect master, what are you doing here?”

It was the Heavenly Demon who they had just seen not that long ago.

The Heavenly Demon said, “It’s nothing really. There was something that I forgot to tell the two of them, so I came here to see them since I knew you would be bringing them back.”

The Poison King’s lip twitched when he heard this, but he gave a nod in the end before turning to one of the people on the side to say, “Bring some wine to the main hall.”

The Heavenly Demon waved his hand and said, “There’s no need for that.”

But the person didn’t stop since they could see the smile that was on the Heavenly Demon’s face. Even though he said this, he was simply being polite rather than actually meaning this.

So in the end, they still brought the wine over.

When it came, the Heavenly Demon took it without hesitation and put it in front of his face to take a whiff of it. Once he took a deep whiff, he said with a smile, “The wine you brew really is something else. I’ve never been able to find anything like it before.”

The Poison King just said with a faint smile, “Well, my disciple has quite the good wine as well.”

The moment that the Heavenly Demon heard this, he immediately looked at Lin Fan as if he was expecting something.

Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head when his master sold him out like this, but he still took out the wine that his master mentioned.

It was something that came from his system, so it was easy for him to pretend that it was from his Spatial Ring.

After taking it out, the Heavenly Demon didn’t waste any time in taking it from him and taking a whiff of it.

When he was done, he said with a wide smile, “Good wine, very good wine.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head when he saw the Heavenly Demon like this, but he didn’t say anything as he let him enjoy the wine.

When he was done appreciating it, the Heavenly Demon took a cup and went to pour a cup out for himself.

But before he could do that, Ye Qing Huan suddenly came forward to take the bottle of wine from him before saying, “Master, what are you doing here?”

If it was someone else, the Heavenly Demon wouldn’t have let them off that easily.

However, it was different since Ye Qing Huan was the Heavenly Demon’s disciple.

“Qing Huan, how could you do that? You should let this old man have one taste.” The Heavenly Demon said almost as if he was pleading with Ye Qing Huan.

But in the end, she didn’t hand it over as she waited for him to speak.

So in the end, the Heavenly Demon just said, “Like I said, I came to tell you something that I forgot to tell you earlier.”

Turning to Lin Fan, the Heavenly Demon said, “Get ready for the sect assessment. The secret realm is about to open, so we’ll be holding the sect assessment to see who gets to go in.”

“Aren’t core disciples exempt from that?” Ye Qing Huan said with narrowed eyes.

“That’s right, but who will follow him if he doesn’t show off a bit? You should know how it is for us demonic cultivators. Unless he takes part, it isn’t as if he’ll be able to gather a team to help him in the secret realm.” The Heavenly Demon said as if it wasn’t his problem at all.

“What if I help him?” Ye Qing Huan said with the same expression.

This time, the Heavenly Demon revealed a more serious look before saying, “Do you really think that’s the best idea? This is a chance for him to establish himself, do you want to take that away from him?”

Ye Qing Huan narrowed her eyes to look at him again, but it didn’t seem like she disagreed with what he said.

So in the end, Ye Qing Huan said with a sigh, “You really couldn’t have told us this sooner?”

The Heavenly Demon didn’t say anything as his eyes were still on the bottle of wine that Ye Qing Huan was holding.

Though from time to time, he did look over at Lin Fan as if he was requesting help from him.

So in the end, Lin Fan said, “How about you just give it to him, it’s not as if this is his fault.”

Ye Qing Huan glared at Lin Fan as well, but she eventually listened to him.

The Heavenly Demon shook his head with a smile, almost as if he was implying something.

But in the end, he didn’t bother saying anything else as he skillfully took the wine from Ye Qing Huan. This was something that he could have done all along if it wasn’t for the fact that he was holding back since it was her.

Once he took it, he didn’t hesitate to move away and pour himself a cup.

The Poison King also came over with a cup.

The two of them seemed to argue over something before sharing a cup together.

Lin Fan shook his head when he saw this before asking Ye Qing Huan, “So what is this sect assessment like?”

Ye Qing Huan didn’t say anything at first, but eventually she said with a sigh, “The sect assessment is actually quite simple, but that’s also why it’s quite dangerous.”
